Not sure if this is going to work, but this is a pic of a wedding cake I made last year. I was very pleased with it but it was the most nerve wrecking cake I have ever made

Here is DD First Birthday Cake - we had an Abby Cadabby theme (obviously!)
Took me about 3 hours all up, mostly because I had to keep getting the next icing colour ready, I seriously need to get some more Wilton Decorating Tips

Here is dd's cake for her 6th birthday, it started off with a drawing she made, really happy with it after a small disaster with the ears I found a doll set to save the day. The kids all loved it.

Cakes we've decorated
Whoops, sorry! Let's try again:

Mrs F - my 5 yo would like a ninjago one now and the 3 yo boy nearly lost it when he saw the rainbow cake! Im not sure i'll be making that though - it must have taken forever!
BG - I still cant believe last that cake you did for Miss E. Awesome
Lenny, the ninjago cake was cause for much stress, I can tell you! I used a lego man shaped tin, and some cake-shop brought fondant, which made everything SO much easier. It actually wan't too difficult in the end.
The rainbow cake isn't difficult either. I made a double batch of vanilla cake mix, and then measured out even amounts, put the colours into it, and cooked them two at a time in the same sized cake tins.
Miss E wants a lego themed party/cake next year so I'm scoping out Pinterest regularly for ideas. I really dislike fondant so trying to find ways to do a lego cake without fondant!
I have two that I LOVE, this is my Tinkerbelle. The other is Mater, but I never got a photo of him finished - because I bought pre-made sheet cakes, which turned out to not be stable enough to hold the fondant. very sad.

Here's the photo of Mater before the worst. He did have wheels, a working tow hook, lights and mirrors before he died on me but this was the last one I got. 3884
I tried to do jelly in some silicone lego block moulds and they were a disaster! Thankfully the cake mould I borrowed to use turned out awesome! Getting fondant from the cake shop was a god send too. The colours were much more vibrant than I could make.
BG, I hate fondant too. For one thing, I have never used it on a cake. And for another, I don't like the taste of it. But I just put on extra butter cream underneath it as the crumb coat and peeled the fondant off. I also made the lego man double, and put some butter cream in the middle of them (like butter on a sandwich). The kids loved the fondant, lol!

The candles stuck ok I think!!
Oh my goodness, it fabulous! Oh wow. That's so cool.
Thanks Lenny!!! She was so stoked this morning!
It looks amazing!
Wow! That's awesome!
Lovely OP
OP! What a beautiful cake!
Thanks everyone :)
Wow I think I missed a few cakes in here - well done bakers! Very inspiring :)
My latest cake that is my current favourite was this one for DH. DD1 said she wanted "Me and daddy in the vegetable patch" so this is what we came up with. I think the best description for the making and the cake was epic - I don't know how people do cake decorating for a living it takes so bloody long!
