    A tea party for a 5yo?

My DD is 5 in about a month's time, and I have been trying to think of what to do for her birthday. We are going to have a party this year, cause 5 is kind of a 'big' birthday. But I don't want it to be a big extraviganza, just something fairly simple with maybe 5-6 friends for her to celebrate with. So I though instead of doing the princess or fairy thing, I might make it a tea party, kind of like a kiddy high tea. I googled some awesome tea pot cakes and I have made the little tea pot biscuits. I thought maybe some cup cakes, fairy bread and strawberry milk.
What do you think...too much? Or do you have any suggestions?!
    TIA

Sounds delightful! How about letting the guests ice their own cupcakes as an activity?

What a lovely idea. You could get a milk frother and have flavoured kiddycinos

perfect! I wanted to do one for DD this year but DH said no parties and she opted for a family trip to Luna Park instead anyway!

It sounds perfect. My Dd will be 5 20th of next month and she loves tea parties she would be stoked if she had one for her 5 th birthday or went to someone else's tea party.

How did your party go? Any hints/tips - trying to get sorted for DD1's 6th bday and it is all seeming too much!
