    Unhappy Penis After Circumcision

Jesse was circumcised when he was 4 weeks old and I dont regret my decision at all.

I just wanted to ask a question to those mums/dads who have a son who is circumcised.

Ok this maybe a little hard to explain so bare with me..
Looking at DH's penis, he has a ridge on the edge of the head of his penis and then it dips a little as it then leads back up the penis shaft. Well, Jesse's looks like the head just joins to the shaft of the penis and doesnt have that dip or ridge inbetween. DH thinks its fine and as he gets older it will grow and fix itself up but being a worrying mum i worry about everything and that if is normal or has it grown together abnormally. I said to DH maybe it was from the circumcision but he said no they cut the foreskin further down the penis away from the head. Jesse doesnt seem to have any worry with it.. its not red or swollen or anything and he still gets little boners (lol) every now and then.

Please i dont want any critisism on circumcisions or whether people agree to it or not. I still am all for them myself and would circumcise any furture children. I just want to know if other baby boy's penis's look the same as Jesse's does at this age.
I have his 6-8 month check up on Friday so will ask the CHN then too.

    Thanking you in advance.

Kel, my DH said that at this age everything is still developing and we checked Riley and it looks like he is the same as Jesse. Its tricky having a boy! I am always asking DH questions about Riley and does everything look normal and should it do that LOL

Oh Christine thank you so much. I have been in tears this evening worried (im sure AF isnt helping with the worry!). I pulled it back like they told me to 2 weeks afterwards, but was wondering if i had done something wrong.
Oh the joys of being a mother with the worry!

Thank you so much again for your reply.. it has calmed me alot now

OH thats great thanks so much Neverplan!

Caro.. thanks mate.. yeh exactly.. i was just going on Jesse's compaired to DH's. DH said yeh its fine, it will change as he grows but still you always worry dont you.

Christine.. oh i know.. Jesse's was all done and healed in a week, but the nurse said after 2 weeks just to pull back the skin to make sure it doesnt stick, as he has a little puppy fat there still. So wouldve hated to know i did it wrong or something but thats really good to hear all other little boys are the same.. HUGE relief.

Thanks again mums for your input, has really put my heart at rest

Just thought I'd put my 2c in:

Jetts was the same until I pulled it back a tad. Now its got the ridge around the head. I was told you should only see the head and that the skin will stretch as they grow. Occasionally when its cold Jetts is covered by the remaining skin. I think youll find Jesse is just fine

A friend of mine took her DS back to the place she got his circ done at because she was annoyed that the remaining skin didnt pull back right and appeared to be sticking. They ripped it back and told her to keep pulling it back so it didnt stick. Poor things penis was red raw and bleeding for a few days

I think the look of a babies circ penis is different depending on how it was done - Jetts was surgically removed but some people get the plastibell (like my friend).

Hi there...I wouldnt worry about it as all my friends sons are the same as what you have said. My son sounds more like you DH but all my friends have said that my son is hung like a horse. OMG that sounds horrible talking about my son like that but he is quite big. But your son sounds like he is norm. Dont worry hun!!!

Hmm ok im a little worried now..

Ill have to have another look when he wakes up, but i try and pull that skin back each bath he has and it just doesnt go anywhere. Like you said Anna though, when its cold the puppy fat covers it but its more the skin of the puppy fat that seems to be just attached to the head, rather than being kinda seperate, if that makes any sense.. How old or how long after your friend's son was circ'ed did she take him back?

Will see what the CHN says tomorrow.

Yeh thats exactly what i mean Neverplan. Did lightly pull it back with his last nappy change.. the sides are like the helmet, but its just the back that seems stuck or attached to the skin. Might just keep doing that once a day then too and over time hopefully it will work itself out.. might just need some working.

Give you a hint Kell, pull it back when he is in the bath or shower. I found that it didnt annoy Jett, my pulling it back, when he was in the water. Too busy splashing around I reckon.

My friends bub was 6mths old when she took him back.

I usually do it in the bath but now Jesse's sitting up in the bath.. as soon as i lay him down he tries to roll over onto his belly.. so it gets kinda hard. It doesnt seem to bother him me doing it so ill just try and do it after bath time or something, least then the skin will be softer... my only problem is with the little devil, whenever i touch his willy he decides it time to turn on the hose!

Well the CHN said his willy looked fine and normal to her. She said that may just be the way it was developed and over time as it grows it will change.. which is a big relief.

Thank you all so much for your input

Ah ok.. yeh i had no problems at all with Dr Bell or the healing of it etc. Just wasnt too sure what it was suppose to look like. DH was the cut way too as i think back then thats all they did. But looking at Jesse's the sides look like the helmet its just the back, but like the CHN said and others have said, i think over time it will change. DH has even said his looked different before he stated to get proper erections too so who knows!
I still try and pull it back each bath but now he's sitting its starting to get harder as as soon as i lie him down in there he rolls over to sit up. But then just do it once he's out of the bath.. and 9 times out of 10 i get squirted! Cheeky monkey!
