Cloth Nappies #131

i will probably only be able to stay until 11ish.. have to get DD down for a sleep before driving to the other side of town so she can meet her new little cousin! :)

PP, I don't have a wet bag. I usually take Isla out in AIO's so whe I need to change her I just roll the nappy up on its self so its outer is on the outside theirfor conatining the wee. Isla very rarly poo's in her nappys so I am lucky that I don't have to deal with Poo while out (or at home most of the time either.)
I would like to get a wetbag though, just at the bottom of my list. Its the kind of thing I think I should get for Free LOL. If Isla is in a fitted when out I usually have a spare cover that I rap it up in.

Ive got a wetbag airing atm PP, I'll show you tomorrow.

I've posted a pic of the shorties on my blog for anyone interested. I still have to do the cord for the waistband and I think I'll embroider something over my dodgy short rows ;) The pic is on the front so you can't see the boo boo's :cryinglaugh:
Alpaca is so dreamy to knit with but it makes everything else feel like hessian after!

PP - the BBeehinds ones are PUL, and well worth it. I also put any wet clothes (Pip's still learning how to use a cup) in there and it washes in the machine with the nappies. Dries quickly ... looks great ... contains smells ... most places have seconds going in wetbags, I saw some @ GK the other day that looked funky.

So ... (sorry if I missed the post) how do the ecobubs wool pockets go with washing? That's the only thing holding me back :)

I'm just about to go pick up the boy, then put the nappies into the dryer (grrrr @ weather)

ETA - wow Sam, the shorties look great!!!! I've discovered that if I'm knitting, I don't see times in waiting rooms as "wasted" - it's more "oooh, I got 2 blocks done!" And I love the belly!

Hey speaking of Alpaca, Sam do you reckon you could patch up my longies? I bought them for only $20 because there are a few loose stitches at the back...unfortunately that was a decision my 'inner blonde' made, because I don't know how to fix it...

Ahhh Kazbah it was you who bought that monsters Widdlewuns! I actually asked Christie to make me a monsters one in black medium because i loved that sage monsters nappy so much... large is too big for DD.

And I use ordinary plastic bags for my nappies when out and about....

Nelle that is an impressive stash! I feel guilty coz i have only one child and almost that many nappies... maybe i should ttc another lol

OK gudism i'm gonna stalk the widdlewuns site for the next restocking for a snoozywun. Let's hope there's one for me and mel! I use 4-5 night nappies regularly but they take FOREVER to dry even when i wash every second day, such that i think i really need 6.

Ok just doing a count. Cripes, I really don't need to buy that widdlewuns. OK that's my last nappy swear to god.

Bad day her MJ wise, she is very cranky... plus Annika has just started chucking these wild screaming fits.. she has been a bit weird lately, like a different child. in a daze, some people cant come near her and omg if anyone wants to look at the baby she HATES it.

I'm so excited about my fluffy mail!!! Got many wool things, so I guess I need to get some wool wash and teach myself how to handwash... (yes, I really am that bad domestically).

Oh i have some great news to on the woolen front though!!!

I cave my grandma the Aundrey longies pattern on Sunday!!! and she has already knitting TWO pairs of longies for Annika and is going to make some now for MJ!!

Hmm do you think i could like commision her to knit and me to sell!!! she knittied one pair in like 4 hrs!!
