Hi All
CONGRATS MEL!!!!
I neeeeeeeeeed to do some washing! I have been run off my feet for a couple of days and havent done my washing. So what can I throw in the dryer? I know all my boosters can go in the dryer, but what about fitteds? and fleece covers?
I figure what I am now saving on nappies I dont really mind spending a little bit of that sacving on running the dryer occasionally, and with the second car I am hardly touching my petrol guzzler so budget wise I am doing much better since the tax cheque sorted some things out and got us back to where we need to be.
WOTB: Sposies for 2 reasons, 1 It is night time and they sleep through, 2 I have no clean MCN and dont like using the flats especially on Em. I need covers for them before i use them.

Alioops -
fleece covers and PUL covers dry so fast, don't need the dryer.
fleece and PUL pockets dry so fast, don't need the dryer. (waterproof fabric)
fitteds and boosters and inserts and trifolds could use the dryer though. (Absorbent fabric).
Nettie - if you have a small night MCN stash, quick dry options like Ai2's (cover with snap in inserts or trifolds) and also fleece pockets with trifolds, can be washed and used again quickly.
Fitted night nappies take longer to dry (like Sandman and GNST), so they're good in a bigger night stash, but can be a drag, if you have a small night stash, cos then you're constantly waiting for them to dry.
FJ - i'm getting our woollies dry inside on the clothes airer (laid flat on a towel on the top rungs). we have a fan going on the clothes airer, plus the heater (when it's on for us.) i'm sure you face more challenges than we do, with getting washing for 5 dry, instead of our 3. i ahve become VERY creative where i hang washing, e.g the chest of drawer's handles are where i hang all the bibs and bras etc LOL.
Pink: how's your knitting going? got any pics in the gallery of what you're making?
OSFA bamboo fitteds?
Sandy's
Motherease
Baby Green's
Cuddles n Cloth
Cute Tooshies Bamboo Delights OSFA
that what springs to mind, sure there are heaps more.
Maybe Caterpillar Cuties also?
Congrats on your dh seeming more MCN-friendly!
WOTBB: tiny bilby just "lost her dinner" allover her sleeping bag, so she's been washed and redressed for bed, in whizz kidz nightz and homemade bumjumper.
Two days at the hospy with my bestie's nb, cluck cluck cluck (i got to cuddle him heaps today!). His first photoshoot, in a minky mcn of course!!
CONGRATS MEL!!!!:hug::dance::clap:

Please excuse my ignorance but is a bubbleJ a fitted? or does it have some PUL hiding in there? I know I am really vauge and I am the one that bought it, maybe I should have read the prduct description
-
Ali - I put all the inserts etc in the dry er together, then if I really pressed for time I put al the BumG's in the dryer - they can go in the dryer and get washed hot to, btw :) they dont take long, 1 by itself (if i need it stright away - i use them overnight double boostered) takes about 10-15 mins...the ony part that may still be just a little bit damp is the tabs (I think they are a different material to the main part of the pocket :)
As gigi said, your fleece covers will dry ina about 10 mins out of the wash, they should be almost dry when they go through spin cycle.
Also, the IB's I have go throught he dryer if need be, again, they dont take long, and you can put them on low heat if you are worried about them :)
Glad to hear you are in a better place with your cashola!
Gigi - lucky you with the newborn cuddles!! how awesome is it!! A friend had her son when DD was about 6 months old and I forgot how tiny they are! so soft and purdy....mmm *cluck* lol

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELBEL!!!
hope you have a fantastic day!!!! :happybirthday:
-
B - they are micro monkey doodlez, yes from beyond belly. it doesnt actually say what the difference is between the 'regular' monkey doodlez and the 'micro' monky doodlez, (which is a little annoying) one can only pressume from the name it means they are somehow a trimmer version.
Anyway, they were only $18.95 each, so I figure I will try them out. :)
Happy Birthday Melbel! :) Enjoy your day- hope you get lots of pressies ;P
Well I think Charlotte is getting a cold...? Been up since 4am sooking, coughing and just generaly behaving like she has a sore throat :( We went to a friend's party the other night, lots of people and even more kids, so I really shouldnt be surprised! But she doesnt seem happy now :( So she is covered with Vicks and I think we will have a big hot steamy bath soon....and possibly some hot honey drink later....Dont suppose I can give her whole garlic cloves yet! lol
Oh, sorry - no nappy related news atm :)
Do we know how Mel is going today? Hope she is ok

Congrats Mel on your new bubba
Happy Birthday other Mel
We had our first poo explosion yesterday, we managed to use all our flanny flats & we were on our last BBH newborn size with a bamboo booster & she out wee'd it in less than 45mins & the poo came out the leg. While we were at the supermarket no less, so we had to have her wrapped in a blanket & I couldnt use my sling.
Anyone had any experience with a Bubblebubs on a newborn?
-
Sal, I *think* Ange may have used them? Congrats on your first pooplosion  don't worry, the worst ones ALWAYS happen when you're out LOL. How are you going with the flats? They're super for keeping the poo in, hey? I don't think we got any on a cover for at least the first few months :D And how's everything else going? Hope you're enjoying lots of newborn snuggles mmmmmmmmm :)
-
Flats are great, we've only got 15 though. I have a heap of terry flats but I dont like them, Imusing them as mop up & spew rags
-
Yeah, we didn't use tt flats until DS was about 4 or 5 months old, and started out-weeing them. Before that the flannies were the best as they're just so much trimmer. I would seriously recommend getting some more flannies if you like them. When we changed to using tt, we just swapped the nappies and the spew rags over IYKWIM! So we used the flannies as spew rags and vice versa :)
