**** Fiona.. they are awesome. makes my dinner and quick romp in the sake go to shame!
Wonder if nappies can be a wedding anni gift????
Anyone know what 9 year anni is????
OH suede cloth for BG's? hmmmm atleast I know its not something that will effect mat or Vy then
Maz, Ninth is Pottery & Willow.
We have also stuck to our "traditional" meal each year also. We didn't go one a honeymoon as such but spent 2 mights in a hotel in Cairns. On the first night we went to see Moulin Rouge & then second night we stayed in & had Pizza & icecream & sex LOL
So each year we have Pizza & Icecream & watch a movie. We did watch Moulin Roge each year also but have been branching out because its getting a bit old seeing the same movie every year LOL
Hello Ladies,
Quick question: Are Bumgenious as bulky as GreenKids?
Nope, I'd say GK's are bulkier. I think the GK PUL is a bit more rigid.
Speaking of GK's and BumG's, you know how when River was small, I was like the BumG queen, loved them? I think Silas actually suits GreenKids better! What a crazy world...
hmmmm i want to buy some more nappies but cannot decide what to buy....
Have you got enough fitteds Kat? I love fitteds and covers for young babies. How about some Tots Bots size 1's? Bamboozles?
Nelle - Thanks. After much decision making I bought some Large itti d'lish, I got them today and I think they are a bit too big for Loren, but I will still give them a go. Now DG tells me he likes the gks because of the velcro....Why could he not tell me this earlier???
Anyways I change 90% of the nappies around here but I think I may get a couple of BumG. I have read through the threads and they seems to be popular.
Do you know where I can get some?
Another question while I am here. I have GK bamboo booster and it is quite stiff now, is this normal?
Nelle
I have afew (well abit more than afew) of the Green Bums and i do have some BBH magicalls/minkee ones i also have some Itti Bittis.. i have flanny flats/PUL covers for when NB... just NOT sure?? Been a very looooong time since i have had a newborn bubba/little baby... going on 8 yrs..
Maz - at least you do dinner for your anniversaries.. we do NUTHIN.. LOL
FJ - honey you should go into business what that stuff.. its freakin awesome what you can make.. not just a pretty face huh... ;)
Bek - heaps of places online sell BumG's.. nappy bucket... beyond belly... nurture nappies... darling downunder... just to name a few!!!!! oh and my booster was stiff, but not now after heaps of washes :)
Kat - I'm using flats with DD at the moment - but also using small monkey doodlez all in ones, and some other fitted nappies - like FJ's newborn ones - that work great!!!!!!!
FJ - I should have had twins honey, then I would have been able to get more nappies off you!!!!! lol What age do you think they would fit up to? or what weight I should say.. like... should I buy more?!?!? lol
Nelle - what age did you start using the GK on Silas? I'm a bit weary of using any of the OSFM on DD yet cos she's still so tiny (well tiny compared to the big bruiser of a brother of hers!!!)
WOAB: Eco bum wool pocket thingy that DH HATES (do I need to sell.. I don't wanna.. its purdy.. )
WOMB: Flat & fleece bummis cover..
OK kids, IF I were to come to the meet up in September - where would be the best place to stay?? I have no idea on suburbs etc, don't know melb at all.
Seriously, it's not going to happen, pretty sure I can't afford flights, accom etc at the moment (bad timing, going back to work in a month so if it was after that, would have been perfect!) but a girl can dream LOL!
Don't sell it Mel, keep it for Mehkelti! I think Si fit the GK's at about 4 weeks? Who knows, the first 6 always seem a blur for me.
Stiff Bamboo...guessing it's fleece? Just give it a scrunchle. Or if you want even softer, next time give it 10mins in the dryer too.
Kat, I just know that you can't beat a good fitting nappy with those baby poosplosions, and often I'm thankful to have a fitted nappy AND a good fitting cover. I even put a cover over a sposie, since sposies don't have elastic at the back.
ETA: Willow, I bet you could stay with ANY one of us (yes Melb girls, I am offering your homes. :P). My home is always open, but you wouldn't want to stay here, unless you have a preference for shoeboxes. :P If no-one else will have you, if you're too smelly for them or whatnot, then I guarantee that my mum who lives 5 mins away WILL have you in her spare room and WILL spoil you guys rotten. :P
if you want to be close willow there is the quest apartments in frankston or the international motel....they would prolly be your best options...if you google accommodation in frankston you will prolly get a few options.....the quest apartments are quite good apparently. Langwarrin itself won't have anything i don't think...we are just a blip on the radar!!
Mel, Maybe opt for the infant size. I can do them with Snaps if you prefer. I haven't made up a heap of teh infants only doing them as their ordered really so I don't have aheap sitting here. But LMK. I think the NB size really deponds on the baby. Maz had mat in them for a while yet Jodie's little porker went straight intot he infant size LOL. I would say the NB is up to 5kg.
Happy Anniversary FJ!!
Mine is tomorrow, 3 years. But I've been lazy and haven't bought him anything. And I don't think he's bought me anything either.
mel - like FJ said, the newborn size didn't fit Emily at all. But we got a decent run out of the infant size. Emily just wacked on the weight really quickly (still is).
I got more fluffy mail today. And how embarrassing is this, I couldn't even remember what I ordered, let alone when I ordered it!
It's some more medium magicalls for Emily. She's outgrown her smalls and I was down to only 3 AIO's for her. I've restocked on magicalls & itti bittis now, and soon will have enough to keep me going for a while. Hopefully.
Even though it's been warm up here lately, there's no sun, and I have a couple of stains on some of Emily's nappy's. What should I do, wait till the sun comes out again?
YEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS Willow, you have to come so I can meet you!!!!! :D :D :D Pretty puhlease :D :D :D
Wow FJ you are one creative chick
My place is open for anyone who wants to come down. Have loads of room as DH and the big boys will be away that weekend :D
Jodi they will come out. If you can put up with looking at them for a few washes! I have an itti bitti here that was looking a bit frightful after I got a bit slack and didn't clean it off till the next day and now you can hardly see which one it was (I have 3 ittis and 5 booster sets to scrutinize).
Well we had a leak free night with my shorties as well.
so very happy right now! :)
I have written a list of things to do with cloths in my communication book for ashley and will be taking her to kindy for day #1 soon.... i dont know why i am so nervous. hoping that they dont send them home with big poos in them (i have put liners in every nappy!!)
