    just a quick question....

i am getting one of Maz's covers (NB) and have some FJ fitted jack nappies.. will the maz cover only last til i change bub (the one nappy) or will it stretch to more nappies? If you can gather what i am trying to say...

Get a few of them so then you can interchange them between changes and let them air out if they are a tad damp. It will also help if you get a leak to have a few spares.

Bea and Gigi, Glad you had fun!!! will have to try for a weekend meet soon. I may have some big news next week to do with locations and jobs but nothing is definite yet.

I have been slack . I have gotten behind on the washing again But the girls will be spending the weekend with my parents so I should be able to get some done then Considering I am out for over 12 hours per day it's not surprising that the washing is a little bit behind.

I had that bug that's going around last week. I hope i didnt spread cybergerms! Em had it too. Sarah has been fine as usual.

Sarah has had a couple of accidents this week she usually is fine. I dont know what is going on with her

Maz - eeuuuwwwwww! Sounds like you've also had a good day for the promotion of cloth-ism!

Ali - with the job situation!

Still waiting on my fluffy mail. Got an Email to say it's been sent (just in time too because she's due to have a baby next week!) so now I just have to stalk the postie!

Modern Parents Vintage Ways have a sale on BBB - $20 each including postage! Thinking of getting myself some more!

Great nappy drying weather this week! Blessed sunshine! Got another load in the machine to hang out in the morning. When I was loading it, I was thinking "Hey! These are all the good ones!" Which means I must need more!

WOHB : BBB & Wool cover (again, BB)

    for the very special RIVLAS

    once more, with feeling

all in ones that close with aplix?
    Bum Genius v.3
    Monkey Doodles
    Swaddlebees Hook and Loop
    Very baby (at the weewuns)
Mum's Bums (at babysoftlandings) (might be under Ai2's)
Rumpsters (DDU) and Rumperooz (under What's New at Nurture Nappies)
    Thirsties
    Bubblebubs

    Sewing Day
Poor Ness put up with me and my cold, and let me loose on her lovely sewing machines (that sew thru bamboo like butter!), after my overlocker (just picked it up from being serviced yesterday!!!) shat itself. I got to hold the lovely MJ too, just tried hard not to breathe on her! I'm just so relieved the Bilbster was well enough to go to childcare today, i would have felt so awful if i had had to cancel on Nessa.

Couldn't help ourselves, yes, there was much stroking of MINKY! Ness has her very own mountains of minky! LOL - a MCN addict's fantasy come true!!!

I cut out a pocket nappy and sewed the tummy side aplix on a nappy cut, but got no further - due to my own procrastination - putting off what i don't feel confident about doing. That dastardly devilish sewing in the leg elastic - eeek.

OMG i just realised, i didn't cut the "rectangles" above the pocket openings, to sew the back elastic in! i had a fear i would mess up that special PUL nappy cut - and 8 hours later - i just realised, i DID mess it up. Hits self over head with wet fish. Someone shoot me please.

i got lost, was not feeling the best, but Ness made it all good - thank you so much!

WOTBB: Lotus night nappy with llama jama longies - the L size - dh said they look like MC Hammer pants on her, ok they're a bit big, but i was keen to see how they fitted her, too big night woollies don't matter, will just toast her toes a bit more ha ha.

ALIOOPS - i realise this might be highly impracticable geography wise, but if you are ever doing a few days of temp work NEAR ME, i invite you to drop a bucket (or two) of dirty MCN washing on my doorstep, and i will do some MCN washing for you (you come get it the next day, or take it home wet the same day). Sometimes life is stranger than fiction, maybe one day you might get work along Main North Road etc. Anyway, the offer is there.

CHRISTY - what sort of fabric inserts do you use in your pockets? we're using six layers of bamboo and they're lasting well.

anyone with LARGE swaddlebee PUL side snap pockets, with Organic Velour inners, surplus to your needs, please LMK. (not aio pockets, not the Econappi OSFA type).

bilbs is awake, off to open the milkbar!

woohoo I got fluffy mail - of sorts, hand delivered so even better. Sam brough round some more baby legs so Ari can wear her little red dress, a wee target for mr 'look around while i wee' and .... the most delicious chocolate minky Maz cover!!!! And on the same day a green kids pocket for SIL that I can take down to Brissie with us.

Gudism and beatrix I don't really like my Bp except as covers! Although they are growing on me as AIO but only for an hour or so we didn't use our small for very long as it wasn't so good for pootainment but now that everything is solid it's Ok - but very pretty!!!!

I have the best (or worst AF comeback) 11wks PP and every3-5wks from then into eternity (well for another 240 months - I'm hoping for early menopause) even though I was still BF round the clock!!! So unfair.

Better go Ari has pneumonia (which is why I'm home from work) and has just gone to sleep and I need to catch some zzzz too (been up 3 nights in a row)

So thanks to the Tax man I have a wad of cash burning a hole in my pocket!
This means I it's time to buy my stash of MCN's! Bout time I say.

I am thinking of buying one of each that I have had my eye on and some covers.
This should give me a good idea of what works best on my bub and then I can go buy a whole stack more of the ones that fit him/her best.

    So here is my list

    MOTHEREASE COVER
    BBH OSFA
    BBH Minkee
    Bum genius
    Green Kids
    Berry Plush
    Itti bitti
    Berry plush
    Sugarpeas cover
    sugarpeas nappy
    haute
and I am about to go and buy and few covers and things from Maz that I have been looking at doing for ages, just haven't had the $$.

Does that sound like a good start??
    Should I get anything else?

Sarah - I love my BP! I reach for them first when going out, they're just nice & easy.

And side-snapping which suits Pip better with his narrow hips and chunky thighs.

WoHB - ummmmm BBB I think? Can't remember. Definately an imse vimsey cover

    Oooops, forgot to post that!

yes it did, and I LOVE the calico bag!!!! hehehe. The first thing DH pulled out of the bag was the cover, and he asked if this was new, and I said "second hand" and he sorta then assumed the rest were too thank goodness. So they're currently in the machine.

Must say that when I get new BBH or BBB I tend to mix & match the inserts, put older inserts with new shells or vice-versa. Works for me
