Maz, your gonna get one hell of a package LOL
hoping your contractions are going great Pink! all the best PP!
WOTBB: wotevah night combo dh put her in, by the time dh came home, i was way over bilby. she was ravenous all afternoon, and her range of Foods Wot She Will Eat is VERY SMALL, so i was at my wit's end.
I gave her some nappy free time today.
She went into the little tent set up in our loungeroom (takes up half the loungeroom!) and sat down on her foldout sofa and WEE-ED in the middle of it! (i was in the nursery assembling pockets for CC at the time).
all i could think of was "DH will give me hell over this" - he is always saying, NO NAPPY FREE TIME, or else there will be wee in everything. So the one time i get brave - what he says comes true!!! oi!
she was a bit freaked after she wee-ed - came running to me with a panicked look on her face. I asked her to show me where she had wee-ed - and she proudly showed me, by that time, thought it was funny and was laughing at the wee patch on the little sofa. I so understand why people do this nappy free time business OUTSIDE. Right now, we have no outside (safe) for her to be in.
MAZ - thanks for organising the Secret Swap!
SUSE - purple minky? mmmmm!
FJ - what a pain that Lotus is not agreeing with Isla.
why waste time with parcels to Maz, why not just hire a truck, or a train carriage? what on earth are you two sending each other? the mind boggles! LOL
Ali - how is your knitting going? but what i really want to know, (are you gonna go my way) how is it living in Townsville? (insert :mr green:).
Geeeze you girls can talk!
PP - all the best for your labour, hope it goes according to plan ;)
Maz - I didn't get a PM either?
I have every nappy in the house clean! DH was looking after Pip tonight so I'm guessing sposie. Ooh hold on, there would have been a BBB + cover from the morning, and prolly a GK funtimes from pickup time.
Yay! Fluffy mail & Mama mail! Got my cloth pads (my first!) today and the BumGenius - butternut - from Mother's Instinct...
Now just gotta wait 3 weeks before AF turns up again to try out the pads!
:crossfingers: for you PP! Remember - pain with a purpose!! We're all thinking of you!
WOHB: Bubblebubs (GNST) night nappy + longies (he poo-ed on our only other good wool cover and it's currently lanolising!)
P.S. - wish us luck! We're giving DS his first veggies tomorrow. Pumpkin! I've warned DH about the orange poo... :o My poor nappies!
Nettie - for the orange poo on the white inners? LINERS work a treat to protect white inners.
Gigi, i love the place, hate the weather though. At 10:45PM the thermometer said 26.6 degrees :o Yuck!
Knitting is going OK. I hope I can finish it in time but I think I will have to go out and buy some sposies :( for Sarah. She picked up her custom Dorothy Night nappy this evening but we had to put it back :(
WOEB Cushie tushie with extra bamboo fold up and soaker
WOSB Sposie :(

I won't stay on long this morning - it hasn't been a good start to the day so far!!
Haha. Isn't she brilliant?! The moment I read her say that it hurt heaps more than her first, I knew it was coming quick! :D It'll be a lot for her to process though.
Hope your day gets better Heidi.
WOTB'S: No idea, how bad is that?? Think Si's in a Tots Bots?
I am looking forward to hearing the story when she is feeling up to writing about it!
My day is going from bad to worse! Why is it when you are having a bad day you get the mummy guilts on top of it?
Too much to go into at the moment and not the least bit nappy related so I will sign off and try to find something to occupy DS and I for a little while.
WOHB: fleece dolphin pocket stuffed with lots of hemp (I think)
Maz just wanted to let you know I got the PM, will try my best to send them off this week.
Congrats PP :)
Damnitt... how much do I suck... "found" 2 nappies I could've swapped today!!!
Congrats PP!!!! Welcome to the world Ethan. I did have a sneaking suspicion PP was having a boy. I must be PG to have such correct suspicions, well if AF is a no show tomorrow, Friday is test day!
LP, Totally understand hun  maybe go for a drive to calm both of you down and put the little one to sleep. If you stay in the car with a book when you get home he can have his entire nap in the car and give you a break. He wont overheat with you in the car because if it gets too hot you will know and can turn on the air con.
Nelle, dont say anything to me about kids arriving at home when I am about to pop. I dont want a homebirth unless DH lets me hire an independant Middie and a doula!!!
Maz, I saw the perfect nappy bag for you today. Cow print Oioi bag. had to laugh and think of you when I saw it. Was in Babies Galore.
WOEB, Apple cushie tushie
WOSB, Mommy's Touch
i still don't have any fluffy mail :( how sad... and i don't have a nappy bag yet for this bub.. am a slack mother i know :)
7 more days.... then my sunroof is opened up and bub taken out :D
Alioops:
DS doesn't nap - hasn't since shortly after his 2nd birthday and I don't drive either. Ultimately we went next door to the preschool. They run vacation care there during the school holidays and I know the girl who runs it and she is happy to have me come over for a visit whenever I want. James had a ball playing in the giant sandpit and I just sat in the sun.
I've been feeling naseous since 2:30am and it comes and goes. I keep thinking I MIGHT be pregnant but it is only day 23 in my cycle and that just seems WAY too early to have morning sickness (all day sickness) or whatever it is.
I did have one day of violent trots (sorry TMI) on conception day with James so I'm thinking MAYBE that is what this is - but it has been going on for so long that now I'm thinking it is a bug of some sort.
Anyway, sorry - not nappy related at all.
Thankfully DH came home and was kind enough to take over the care of James even though he had just walked in the door so that I could have a hot shower and relax for a few minutes.
I've just had one of those days where James and I have pushed each other's buttons all day and I feel like an idiot for letting a two year old get to me.
So I hope everyone else is having a better day than me! And I'm trying REALLY hard not to get my hopes up that I'm pregnant because the last time I felt like this (about three months ago) it ended up being horrible PMS and I got AF about a week later!
Okay I'm in a horrible mood and I'm going to get in trouble for talking about everything except nappies!
 Heidi... those days truely suck.
I just realised that Pip will be 20 months at xmas :(
I gave blood today! And came home to realise I need more mama pads :( doh. What timing.
The CC are weird, they took his babylegs off (dunno why) and put them back on upside down. And they keep taking off his amber teething necklace and DH left it there yesterday, and he screeched last night. Doh.
*sighs*
Photos tomorrow, have his shirt all picked out to wear, pity my gorgeous nappies won't be visible :(
WoHB - BBH with BB PUL cover. Plus legbone babylegs and mis-matched sox.
Hey MAZ, guess what nappy is coming out in Bamboo! Mandy Macs!
How freaky is that hey!. They will be at the nappy expo thats on at FOuntain Gate on Friday.
Also a Mandy mac Bamboo Night nappy!
Im very interested to see that.
Yeah, with 22 layers of bamboo FJ!!! It will be HUGE! I might head down to Casey on Friday for a look see.
Maz- Saw you're new lising on ozebaby. Noice.
Jealous :(
might go to ozebaby.
Anyone got any mama pads worth trying?
wOhb - I don't really care, DH did it.
hi all thought i would pop in..
massive day.. gotta love school holidays...
Teleah had a learn to rollar skate thing this morning then had tickets to dora concert this afternoon...
am getting some $$ next week so think i may be more dlishes ... mj is 6.5 kg .... was thinking i shoulget a few med and a few large...
does any one know the special thats going to be at the expo? i was thinking if it was good someone might grab me some if i send then the $$... please
Kaz- i meant to say, wierd CC take off his huggalugs and then put them on upside down?! Maybe they take off the necklace b/c they think it is unsafe? Could another kid pull on it? i havn't seen one IRL..... are they elastic?
PINK PALACE - congrats to you hon, and WELCOME ETHAN! dying to know if you PLANNED a homebirth, or did it just "happen" that way on the day. ala Nelle and the quick labour thang. how excitement!!
AJP and Lil Precious - hope you both ahve BETTER days tomorrow.
a two year old can really push your buttons, i have days when i cannot leave the house (i can drive adn have a car), and when dh walks thru the door, he can see from my face, i am ready to give bilby away.
Kazbah - why won't Pip's MCN be in the photos? are they just headshots? we're having photos done on teh 18th (nervewracking!).
WOTBB: whizz kidz nightz with disana woolly pullup soaker
Gigi - they're just doing from the waist up. Plus they don't use my nappies during the day, they use theirs (flanno flats with pilchers) which look better with pants on! I was given a pile of pilchers on FreeCycle so gave them all to the CC so at least some of them are that fake nylon cruddy fluff ;)
Gigi - weewuns on ozebaby has coloured disana soakers for $32 I think? wondering if they're worth it? they look soooo weird!
GiGi, it was an unplanned home birth assisted by paramedic's, her birth story is up in the birth announcements thread I think.
Here you go girls - thanks fj :)
Nelle- i should have listened shouldnt i!
Ness - thanks babe for posting for me today *mwaH*
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...inkpalace.html
Nelle, Jinx me, Jinx me! LOL
hehehe
FJ - sold out? closed? huh? Have I missed something?
Lovely story there Kell! Cute paramedic, send him my way ;)
Welcome Home Kell!!!! Glad to have you back so soon!!! Now off to read the story... after I finish my post
I am waiting on Fluffiness!!! 1 Pinni pink butterflys I think it is, 2 soakers, 1 pink BBH Magicall and i think that is it. maybe a bit more from Kim but I cant remember if I ordered any more.
I really hope I dont need any Mama pads. REALLY hope It. I did get a pos OPK this arvo, at 11 DPO, so here's hoping!!! Nelle, can you jinx me with a :bfp:??? your jinxes work :p
WOEB: some sort of CT with extra boosting and soaker (DH did it)
WOSB: Sposie
i bought one in XL - so that will do madam until TT. i got it when she was technically in the M, but the design of the DIsana is such that you can easily buy them TOO BIG, yet they still work. the wool is loomed in tiny pleats, like an accordian, so until your child grows bigger, the pleats don't expand. i'm not explaining it very well, but suffice to say, buy them big, they will still work great.
the $32 is for the smallest size. I would personally go straight for a medium (for a newborn) and buy XL if your child is in the medium range or above.
yes, they look weird all on their lonesome.
but
go to the US site called greenmountaindiapers - find the disana pullup - click on the link "see babies wearing these" and you get to see them on bubs of different ages adn sizes, it really helped me decide
they are too bulky to have clothing over them really, we use them as a dedicated night soaker - very happy with them - so soft and cuddly too, i'm amazed, but dh mentions how cuddly it is, every time he picks up bilby in the morning (after a night in the Disana), taking her out of her sleeping bag.
ALIOOPS - good luck! (with NOT needing mama pads for the next year!).
FJ and MAZ - now i've seen the ozebaby store, i think i can guess what sort of mischief you two are up to! very noice. you two secret squirrels!!
so lovely, reading Pink's story! ah!!!!! cluckity cluck cluck!
WOTBB: it's still tonight's wonderful whizz kidz + delectable disana!
