Nelle i need you to JINX me BIG time.. i have been up this morning with irregular contractions/period pain/back pain.. went for my usual appointments but got taken to birth unit to be monitored.. only to be sent home drugged up....

ETA: forgot to add you wont believe what Annika did, she was helping me change MJ's bum and she picked up the dirty dlish and said wash, so i figured she had worked out where to put it and i said yep... Only to discover a hr later it in my BIN!!!!!!!! My lilac Dlish was in my bin!!!!!
oh and can i just say how much i hate changing the bum of a rolling, almost crawling 6 1/2mth old!!!!

Secret Swap Recipient, I have been remiss in getting to the post office due to flu ridden baby and partner (eurrrrgh), so Monday will be the day. It will be worth the wait though, I promise (;)).
And that's been my week. FLU. I hate it. I am so sore and tired and grrrr about everything, and I haven't even had it, just been looking after two men with flu (although DP has been brilliant, but he was knocked about pretty badly. He's not your typical man-flu sufferer, he was pretty damn sick and still helped as much as he could with Euan).
Am going to buy new large nappies soon. Not sure what yet. Want a blueberry, and maybe another d'lish, and oh god I wish I could get more lotus AIOs. Waaah. Love them soooo much.
WOHB: nature baby care sposies. He's in them until this flu goes, don't want panadol stained nappies. He's pretty much only wanted boobie for the last couple of days, he had the most disgusting poo yesterday. The texture and explosiveness of BF poo, but the smell of food poo. Euuuugh.

I think I may have converted a few of the mums in our new church!!! there are lots of little ones at church and we had a MG yesterday, and the mums that were there were asking me questions and very interested! Yay!
DH forgot to put Em's soaker on last night, and she didn't leak!!! so I might be able to get a couple more days before I need to finish that soaker.

Queen, Yeah pretty much. Not sure what I will be doing in the new year. I have sort of lost my mojo at the moment & have possible other work (still nappy related)that may be more time consuming then having the NB nappies also will allow, But for now Im just on "maternity Leave".
I GOT FLUFFY MAIL! One extremely stuffed to the seams 3kg express bag TAPED shut that was forced into my giant old milk can of a mail box & took two hands to pull out again LOL
I must say I am very spoilt, thanks Maz! Especially for the unexpected extra's. I think, if you don't mind I will do what you had in mind for those wipes rather then use them as wipes. there just too lovely to wipe up POO with! LOL Also, not sure I want to pass on the Breastpad to the lady who wanted them LOL. Might have to order more for me.

Raven, my DH is the same. He sat down the other night & said right this is what will happen. A week before my due date I will wake up in labour around 8am, on a saturday. We will make our way to hossy & give birth, to later return home Sat night.
I laughed & said chances are it will happen more like this. A week or 2 after my due date, I will quietly labour with out his knowledge through the night. I will wake him on a weekday morning around 8 am & request he come to the lounge room just in time to catch the baby LOL, then we will make our way to hossy for checks etc & then return home once HE has been discharged from hossy from shock.
He just cringed & said not to torment him LOL

I went to the nappy expo (& saw Sammi :D) I bought an orange swim nappy with an Octopus on the back & a blueberry booster. Had to restrain myself from spending more but I will do that next week at the Melb expo

exactly the same principle as the hemp with the snappy etc..in fact I think the day nap is the same pattern and fit just a fabric change. Oh and a few more stores will be stocking them as well ;)

Maz- have you tried to air lock your parcels? I tend to place in snap lock bag, sit on it and push out all the air with my fat bum then snap while still sitting on it.... vacum sealed via giant bum :lol: and more fits in!!!

Beatrix i have only gotten FJ small/NB nappies no other nappies in small.. all the Itti's i have bought are mediums.. and they don't by any means look BIG.... we have PLENTY of flats and covers...

FJ I saw the MM night nappy. It looks the same as the standard one with white bamboo terry and a nice purple inner. It's quite bulky though but no bulkier than the VBSN I have. Sorry I have no recollection of the price. Hers are an economical price usually aren't they?

Ness silly daycare peoples! And yes I did find it hard to part with some nappies. As it turns out I can reuse some medium berry plushes that I kept not getting around to listing. Had no issues with others though.

As for nappies.. DS is in sposies still. His umbilicus came off today but is still having mec poos... so i think when they calm into normal poo i will get my prefolds out.. so funny to use sposies - they seem so harsh and scratchy... cant wait for him to have nice soft flannel on his bot!

NESSA - that is so funny about your d'lish getting posted to the circular file. (the bin). We have a box within cooee of the changetable, to distract and interest a certain squirmy bilby - i think that was a Nelle tip i got yonks ago - sometimes it works and sometimes it don't, but it's good to ahve ti handy. i gave up on mobiles, too dangerous once they can stand up and attempt to "reach" the mobile or hanging crystal pretty thing etc.
today in a toy shop, (shopping for bilby's #2 birthing day celebration) i saw this groovy simple wooden painted jigsaw, it was of a family at the beach, two children, dad and mum all in their bathers, mum in a bikini with a pregnant belly. it was so nice to see a pregnant mum in a family drawing.
i was really there to look at pegboards and magnet doodle drawer thingos, but kept getting distracted! the pegboards were all either too basic, or too advanced, coudln't find one like teh childcare centre have (for the kindy kids, but bilby loves it).

Had a rough week here with both DS and DH waking me numerous times in the night! I am wrecked and haven't been feeling my best so have just been lurking for the past few days.
It is well past my bedtime I set for myself of 10:30pm so I had best get off the computer and head to bed. We have a busy weekend with a 3 year old birthday party and lunchtime tomorrow and then getting together with a girlfriend and her four kids after church tomorrow.

I have discovered the Nappylicious works as a night nappy for James IF I use the tri-fold booster in it AND a cover! Gotta make the most of my still somewhat skimpy stash!!

So I'm going to have to go guy some sposies for the move. I think I'll head to Aldi and get a fwe packs because we won't be able to afford the others. Or do I just take my stash in the car and wash when we get to Sydney.... hmmmmm decisions decisions. DH wants me to pack them up because he doesn't want us to have too much stuff in the car, but my opinion is what if something happens in the move??? We'll need the nappies.
Christy, Nothing wrong with Aldi nappies. I think they are great as far as sposiies go.
Personally I would go sposies while you move. I mean It would be fairly simple to toss a laod on when you get to a washing maching but really, do you want a car full of wet & smelly nappies?
