Mummy Tummy - i'm pretty sure that itti bitti aio's use SUEDECLOTH for the inner layer. Some baby's skin reacts to synthetic fabrics that are used for inners of MCN, e.g suedecloth or microfleece. I have a DD who reacts to both.
Do you have ANY nappies that don't have a suedecloth inner to test out that theory?
Saram - i just wet a facewasher with water to clean at nappy time. THe loopy side "grabs" the poo really well.
Christy - i'm so glad the airline helped you out.
Suse - loved hearing about your crocodile roll solution. We have a shoebox of "distractions" on the nappy bookshelf. nodding at you alot!!!
KATONES - sprayable poo hey? do you have covers with leg gussets? i LURVED those for containing those explosive, runny messes.
Nelle - how is your carpet hon? (pins Gold Medal on you for cleanign that up).
MAZ - glad you had a good time at the expo
SKITTLEBUB - sounds like you had fun too!
WARNING:
the following contains a word starting with an "I", ending with an "N" and having "OR" in the middle. If this word is NOT used in your household, this is your chance to
look away from the computer screen NOW!!!!
Yes, i thought my ironing days were over.
But DH has ironing board out regularly, has to iron "work shirt" each morning (no matter i say, why not iron the week's shirts at ONE time, he won't listen)
anyhoo, i digree
i have been collecting GAZILLIONS of washed, flushable liners
cos the poo ones gets flushed, and the wet ones go thru the nappy wash load
they end up all screwed up and i never get round to unscrewing/unravelling them, too hard, too timeconsuming
tonight i saw some, i was near teh ironing board, and suddenly thought - crinkled up paper - iron - hmmmm?
so i put said theory to the test
now have perfect flat flushable liners that i can re-use in bilby's MCN
so if you are still with me this far in
i've found a way to re-use the wet flushable liners, without the dreaded Crinkle Factor.
and i sure won't be doing it often, just once in a blue moon, do HEAPS at once.
OK, the rest of you can look back now
crisis averted, no more talk of the "I" word i promise!!!
ME: i had the most fantastic sewing day with Ness, who despite being the DAY before her house is about to be painted, shared her sewing knowledge, her machines and her snapping prowess with me, i am SO LUCKY!!!! I was like a pig in the proverbial, to be let loose on WORKING sewing machines!!!
Can't believe how much sewing we got done, it was magic. Inbetween cuddling the gorgy Miz MJ and admiring Miz T's very glittery artwork.
Last night, i swear, some small items i was trying to overlock around (on my broken machine), the machine would need to be rethreaded continously, like EVERY TEN CMS!!!! FFS!!!! much swearing was going down i can tell you.
ALI - glad you found The Missing Soaker. But the Washing Machine Saga continues!!! grrrr to that! Is your dh been deployed already?
ARIMEH - She Wot Once Wuz Gudi
what is the rise like on the wild child for her? FJ can tell you about the different sizes of that brand, i think one is longer in the rise than the other.
once you do up a nappy, if you stand your child up, and RECHECK for tummy gape, red0 if it NOW looks a bit loose, that can stop some leak issues.
Cos it's not just LEG GAPE that is importatn, it's also TUMMY GAPE - ESP with the night nappy.
Does the cover you have over the WIld Child adequately cover 100% of the nappy, especially the rise?
FALGUNI - where for art thou?
RAVEN - well we know where you'll be! recovering after a hectic Baby Expo!!
mwah!
WOTBB: kester covers aio

That's bloody cold!!

And way to go on the "I" "RO" "NING"... I wish I could get my butt into gear to do some here!!! I'm so friggin lazy..
as it was brown minkee with cow tabs and **** fabo honey. Their a large fit as Jol's said and so easy...(they sort of remind me of a HB with the booster sewn in if that helps)-velcro closure to babe. I could have gone a large in the waist though but the rise would have been to much.
ask us anything you want
they'll be dry by the time they hit the line
It was cold here last night but not quite that cold. I streaked across the house at 5am to let the cat in and froze! Mental note to self to get that cat flap installed.
BTW I am shocked that the flushale liners survived the wash. I though the point of them was that they dissolved/broke down!
