thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes for the bilbster, she had a lovely day, didn't really understand what it was all about, but loved playing with three little playgroup friends. I had another party for non-playgroup friends today at a playground, and that was lovely too, she had a great time watching the four year olds and cuddling the babies. Ness coudln't make it with her three munchikins unfortunately, next time heh? So we are all partied out! :dance:
to make my post MCN related: bilby wore woollies at both parties! LOL.
bilby shorties and purple/aqua varigated longies. Yes LONGIES and we are a fortnight away from summer! 36 degrees last week, and 21 today. that's our city for you.
PP - I think DD was about 8 weeks before I attempted wool again. Sometimes I still get compression leaks if she hasn't had a heap of sleep during the day and sleeps like a log at night.
If you change bub in a parent's room WITH a toilet nearby, after you have changed baby and packed up, i take the wetbag to a toilet and empty the poo into loo, and flush. SUper easy if you have flushable liners inside the nappy too. (once baby is old enough to do formed poos). Then roll up nappy, stick inside wetbag, do zip up, put wetbag in nappy bag, do zip up.:
if you change bub in a parent's room or outside e.g on the grass at the beach, and there is no loo handy, i put a disposable wipe over said poop, roll up nappy, put in wetbag, zip, in nappy bag, zip, and deal with it (little squirt it) when we get home.
ARIMEH - how is your little boy?
KAZBAH - dh cooks, in the BBQ style, he cooks sausages and eggs, can open a tin of spaghetti adn heat it up, serve with toast. So he sort of cooks. but for the last two years, that is more than i have cooked. It is a miracle that i made banana bread today for bilby's birthday. i used to make Thai Green Chicken curry (from scratch, with ingredients from Chinatown), that was the kind of thing i cooked pre-bilby. and lots of ymmy salads made with vegies and herbs i grew myself.
FJ - did you ask about fleece covers? i reckon, if baby is having strong ammonia issues, i'd wash EVERY wear. at times when wee has LESS ammonia, then air between a few wears.
MAZ - can you post the link for testers again please? i cannot face going thru ten pages again and was too silly to "click" first time i saw it. der to me.

QUEEN: do you mean your dog DESTROYED nappies, or actually CONSUMED nappies? (can you tell i dont have pets!!! i'm allergic to cat and dog hair).
WOTBB: lotus AI2 that i put on her at the playground, she has been asleep (in car, then on sofa in the lounge, then fell down to cushions, then got carried to cot by daddy - slept thru it all - it's not a night nappy, so will be severely tested! I rarely leave a day nappy on her more than two hours usually. but this has been a BIG day for her. May have to attempt dream change soon!

kitt3n/gigi - yeah, the magicalls do have a wider crutch and higher rise than the itti's. I used to be able to get Nina into a large magical, but never an itti, as she has wide hips.
ness - a spider, eek! Thank goodness you seen it before you used it.
ali - are enjoying the endless amount of sunshine we get up this way :D The only problem is you have to hang your washing out first thing in the morning, or at night. It's too hot otherwise!

Ordered 2 more loveybums wool interlock covers as they seem to work best for us overnight. While I was at it, I ordered an amber teething necklace and one of those little baby MCN keyrings! Can't wait to show everyone!

This kid is a wee machine I tell ya. He out wet a WC fitted in record time the other night. I think I will need to put him in a "Real" night nappy! That or pull out the BBB's, I think I have 2 of those.

Got a Dr's appointment for him this morning. for those who don't know, his testicals haven't dropped yet. I can feel one now & then but not the other. I was told to watch for any buldging when he cries. Well I think I see buldging.... So off to see if its a hernia.
Normally it slike Oh what will I wear... But now its what nappy can I put on him to show off LOL
Fiona - a friends' DS had that probelm when he was born. One of his testicles didn't drop. From memory, there was no hernia and it dropped eventually. Good luck at the dr's.
It's raining today, and I have 2 loads of nappies which I washed last night ready to hang out. I can hang them on the line in the patio, but they'll take forever to dry, and I need them NOW as Emily has been a pooing machine this week. So I think I'll have to head to the laundromat. I hate it when it rains, it means it's stinking hot. 34 today. Why can't it cool down when it rains here like everywhere else??

DS is doing some seriously yukky poos with these antibiotics - doc warned me of the side effect of the runs - well we aren't there yet - but god I'm glad I have a LS...
Both kids are sleeping at the moment - shock horror - so early for DS - but he is sooo sick and run down - poor bugger.

yeah the pead said she couldn't feel a hernia but to watch the area when he cries. This morning it wasn't bulging as such but I think I can feel the testicle, well a hard spot anyway but it seems too close to the surface to me. So I thought better safe & get it checked. If its nothing then I know not to stress over that. The pead wasn't very attentive when I was discharged from the hossy so a second opinion wont hurt. that & the clinic nurse telling me they can go gang green! I will feel better having a Dr look him over LOL

I'm not sure what's going on with Calebs nappies but yesterday he wet through 3 of them :wall: I'm highly suspicious of how MIL washed them when she was here last week. And yes I have that many nappies that I'm still working through the same batch she washed :lol:

I am being good and doing the washing!! Ok I am using the dryer, but I need nappies NOW not tomorrow so the dryer it is. Besides, my BBH needs a run in the dryer to soften up. I even squirted the nappies that needed it!!

Nothing but warm rain at the letterbox. Our postie is really late today!! either that or the fluff will be here tomorrow. That is really slow though, but I have noticed QLD mail is slower when coming from other states.

ness - we christned our Xmaz nappy from Bizy Bee's yeseterday..nioce fit and it lasted well :) we got a blue minkee with a yellow pressy on it saying my first christmas...will down load pics later. Hows the teething necklace keeping up?
