PP - storm completely missed us!!! grrr.. not fair!!!!

Ness - ewww I HATE spiders!!!!! Thankfully none have gotten to my nappies yet!! I think I'd scream my head off..

Gigi - yeah I've cleaned out my actual nappy stash of ones that didn't work - think I've gotten rid of about 20 now.. lol.. thanks for the tips on listing I'll do that - thank you!!!!

Jodi - dunno about the formula - which one are you using? I've never had poos in the night time from formula with either of my kids... so I dunno???

Well still runs city here with Mr A... poor thing is getting bad nappy rash - I think its killing his bot bot with all this horrific liquid.. we change it as often as we notice that he's exploded... thank god for flats. Hey, does anyone know if its ok to put a bit of pine o clean in the nappy bucket - they are FOUL..

Arimeh - I know what you mean about the stinky flats. DS has been pooping toxic stuff for a couple of weeks now coz he's teething. A few drops of tea tree and lavender oil in the bucket is good. Natural antiseptic/antibacterial. But dont put tea tree oil directly on plastic, dilute it a bit first or it can melt your bucket! (if the nappies aren't doing that already!)

I just brought in some nappies from the garage where they've been hanging to dry for days now... and shook everything vigorously and checked it all for crawlies before bringing it inside. Put the basket down and a freakin' spider crawls out from the rim of the basket and up my arm into my hair!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's going on?? Is it time to move to NZ?

WOHB: Flat! Nothing else was dry or not contaminated with spiders.

They have wetas in NZ NaNa - it's not a total crawlie-free paradise... :p (says she who moved to North bloody Qld, but has seen less spiders and roaches than what we had in inner city Sydney :lol:). But yeah, a move to NZ would be nice, I like hobbitses.

Ness, if the spiders are in the cupboard, is there a hole in the cupboard that you can fill up?

Mel - if you use tea-tree or lavender in the bucket, put a little bit on a cotton ball and tape it to the inside of the lid. That way you won't get oil directly on the nappies and it will get rid of the stink.

PP - hope you're OK after the storm hon - and hope all of our other Brisbanites are faring well?

We must live in the right part of town as we don't get midgies or mossies at our house, or cane toads for that matter. But there has been the odd siting of a snake, or 2, or 3 in our backyard :rolleyes:

New Zealand... now that's a place I could live at! We went there on our honeymoon and loved it. We'll be taking the girls there in a couple of years. All the locals thought we were crazy for wanting to visit in Winter, until we explained to them that we're from North Qld, Australia!!

I don't think my neighbours would appreciate me dancing around the backyard naked. But I can hide in my pool if I jump in naked :D

me - i have no idea what is going on with Emily's poo. She's only been doing it this week. I'm using Heinz Nurture, but just this week changed from Step 1 to Step 2 (6 months + ), could be that??

maz - I got fluffy mail today :dance: EXCEPT ... it went to the wrong house! A nice old lady called me before to tell me she has 3 parcels at her house which are addressed to me. And her address is nothing like mine, it's not even in the same suburb! So now I have to go over there to collect them.

I'm so over Emily's poos. She's ruining her nappies! Well not really, that's sort of exxagerating a little bit, but you know what I mean. All I ever seem to be doing each nappy change is cleaning off poo! :wall:

Maz - The CTs warehouse is in brissy. 4 nappies were casualties of the storm, but the drain at fault is now fixed ;)

Well Em had another pooplosion last night. but so far today all is well!! poor gilr is all blistery though. Sarah is not so great. she still has a temp so I think I will have to get her checked out. dont want AB poos though :(

Jodi, i remember a series of three nights in a row, when bilbs pooped thru three night nappies per night - she was unwell at the time. but not related to formula. those three nights totally justified my night nappy stash (including some quick dry ones).

do you have a little squirt? or flushable liners? they are great for dealing with poop.

Pink - glad you are ok after the fierce storms. the amount of rain that brissy got for the 2nd storm, was what my city got for THE WHOLE YEAR.

NESSA - **** - i can't wait til you are gone from Spider House! Pest sprays make me feel sick (too many chemicals) i don't know what i'd do in your position.

but i would wash the inserts you sprayed MANY times before putting them near mj's skin. the ingredients of bug sprays are so lethal. i'm sure you know all this already, i'm just fussing.

i would really miss you lot if i didn't have a computer anymore.

Kitten3 - i like seeing all the drying nappies on my clothes horse, you're not alone in that.

i have letters from two govt departments - dh's lack of action re tax returns has resulted in them charging me 20k. i am devastated. i have nothing to sell that is worth one grand, let alone 20. how can someone that claims to love you, do this to you? how could he do this to bilby?

OK, on the joys of seeing nappies hanging on the line/clothes horse... Does anyone else colour coordinate when arranging them on the clothes horse? :redface: I even have nappies which 'go together' in a particular wash cycle, just because they look good next to each other on the line.

Euan fell asleep at 9:00 - we would have kept him in his nappy (he was still in a sposie) but then he woke at 11:00 so we figured we might as well change him into a night nappy (which turned out to be another sposie due to the copious amounts of Sudocream needed on his poor little red bum, it's in a spot that is just not good for liners). I'm just slathering on the cream before doing up the nappy, so his bum's in the air, when he pees everywhere. And no, everywhere is not an exaggeration. :rolleyes: Right at this point, DP starts sneezing constantly, like about fifteen sneezes in a row. I think he reacts to the Sudocream. This freaked Euan a bit, who starts crying his little tired eyes out. We get him settled and get the wee cleaned up. Take two, I wipe off all of the cream, because half of it was covered in wee and smeared all over the table, start again, dry his bum properly (it's so humid up here), put on more cream, go to do the nappy up.... yep - pees AGAIN. We're all getting pretty cranky by this stage, and when I get cranky, Euan gets cranky (you'd think I'd learn by now). DP is still sneezing by the way... Take three, I've just put on the cream (after waiting a good minute to make sure he's finished), and out comes a last little dribble, which luckily I caught with a cloth, so we didn't end up with a take four. A good thing too, because we were starting to run out of sposies (and I had long since run out of patience).

(And that's my funny story for the day)

WOHB: A bleeping sposie (see above), about a kilo of Sudocream, with wool soaker over the top for luck.

Nearly the end of antibiotics here - does anyone know how long it takes after stopping the AB's to get their poos back to normal? I'm hoping he can go to daycare on Monday and we are stopping AB's on Sunday.... he seems to be much better (still having long sleeps during the day) and his cough is still there - but no temps for days now - no choking on the crap in his throat when he coughs so he nearly vomits.. so he should be right - as long as the runs clear up!!!!

Well we had our first 1/2 cloth night... slowly edgin in lol!
Ethan slept in a BBB + pul from 8pm-1.30am. Soaked yes but no leaks.

Then a put a sposie on him and this morning he did the biggest ever poo in it!! lol at 6am i told dh to change him and said that he didnt do a poo yesterday so he might do one this morning and as he walk carrying him out the bedroom... lmao... a louder than thunder crack!!! poo went everywhere out the back and side like a waterfall! all over DH the carpet and dripped to the bathroom for changing ! lol

At least my boy has respect not to do it in the BBB!

Mel - i would say a day or 2 after you stop Ab's he will be fine! :)

Suse - cant say i arrange in colour but i have special parts of the line where i hang them. (some of the line gets more sun etc so my bbb go there and the pockets go towards the shade and the boosters at the other end where they catch the afternoon bleach sun lol).

Im starting to think I might have to try and make a pair of night 'jocks' for Wilhelm...2 nights in a row with wetting the bed again (had a bad thursday and this is his way of dealing with it). I was another wahm that used normal jocks and lined them with bamboo in the crotch...him me thinks me might have to try that as he freaks out over having to put nappies on. what do ya do?
