PP Iain is wearing a BBB some nights to bed with just the long nooster in it folded 3 times towards the front. Works well with woolies.
Or I put him in my WC or Abbygrow.

might give that a go FJ.
He doesnt wet as much over night.
A BBB with both boosters (set on newborn size) is soaked after 3 hours during the day
and he is a tummy sleeper so will have to have the boosting to the front

Are you folding the front over still? how to do arrange the inserts?

yeah still folding down, he hasn't the chuncky legs one may expect by his weight. Basically I have the long booster snaped in the back & then I fold it about a 1/4 down & then again so there is 3 layers that sit right over his doodle. I have left that go all night seems he sleeps on his side. its pretty wet come morning when I leave it but not to bad.
If I change over night its around 2 am when he has been down since about 6pm.

Missy - That is so PURDY!!! DH would divorce me if I spent that much on 1 nappy though

Well we have started packing our suitcases and I have a huge pile of nappies to wash so they are going in the wash tomorrow (it is raining now) and the girls are in sposies for 2 weeks now.

I felt a kick today. 14 weeks exactly!!

    Yay for kicks Ali!

I am so excited to start using the Ittis tomorrow I tried one on Rip before bed and he looks so cute. Dh called the nappies "Pimpin' nappies" so now Jetts going around saying 'Where's my pimp nappies?" The colours are so bright, I love it!

All my BBH fitteds are in Rivers room in the cupboard ready for him to come out and play in March/April

One thing you are not takking into account is child support, dont forget he has to pay you.. he can not get out of it now. Centrelink has a child support estimator that you can use.
    l
    i looked up that estimator

    it says
The Child Support Estimator will not work:
where a parent pays child support to more than one other parent

well, dp already pays child support for a child of a previous r'ship. (i think it's 35 per wk).
so that estimator cannot estimate for us.
i've already witnessed him keeping CSA waiting for years of tax returns, and them getting tough with him, so just like wife #2, i would not count on child support being regular. When i knew he was so far behind in outstanding CS for his first child, that caused me alot of anxiety back then too, i felt so upset and tried to get him to do those tax returns, so everything would be up to date. ( i didn't want to bring another child into the world, until that debt was paid ). What a fool i was, to think he wouldn't do the same to me and bilby. i made excuses for him.

bilby is officially out of her medium swaddlebees now. the larges look very bulky on her, but she does need them for the rise. i think i have to retire the cute tooshies fitteds too. Sigh, they were a good MCN. and so soft. i lurve the bamboo velour.

she's having the training pants on each night, in the time before her bath. i discovered last night, the PUL in the imse vimse ones does work (to keep outer dry) but the cotton interlock stuff around the legs, does feel a bit damp, (after she has wet). but that's ok, it was soaking, and i do want her to realise she HAS wet. (the inner is organic velour - a feel wet inner).

Gigi - I had the same issues with the Imse Vimse - Ari weed straight through them but if they are working for you would you like another pair? :hugs: to you and the situation your in with Dh at the moment. Thinking of you and bilby and hoping you find a way to a better time soon.

PP - We would chuck all our poopy nappies in a bucket of plain water and then I use tongs to fish them out at wash time, never had any staining issues until recently with panadol. With newborns they went straight in the machine, breastmilk poos disappears in the wash :-)

AnnaT - hooray for all your gorgy nappies arriving! We used prefolds a little when Ari was around the 6-9mth mark as I wanted to understand how they worked before I tried explaining them to others. We used the premium sized cotton prefolds and they held up about 1-2hrs in a 6-8mth old. We had the unbleached and coloured here and some hemp ones as well, the hemp - although more bulky were def a lot longer lasting.

Maz - yeah on finding somewhere to stay! So when are you coming????

I have absolutely no nappy news, very boring here :-( Not even a WOHB as we are still in sposies at night but.... we are cutting down the amount of liquid she has at night so maybe... in a few days we can be back in night time naps

Gigi sending you hugs. Sounds like your in a tough spot.

AnnaT that is So cute!! Pimpin nappies

Ali it wasn't expensive One of my more affordable nappies (the panda and frog ones) ... yes I have spent way too much on nappies!!

PP I put the big booster at the front, the little one at the back, and another (we use the magicall booster) on the outside of the nappy, has helped as Ash is a tummy sleeper too

Maz, I have a blue cow bling coming hopefully next week!! Can't wait I have the green one but when I saw the blue it was love all over again! I love the colour

Well good news is that the moisturiser cleared up the red rash! I think it's like eczema which the boys have but on his willy area. Maybe from the fleece? My aunty sent me some goats milk soap so might have to give that a try on him instead of baby bath.

WOHB - Cute Tooshie Bamboo Delight... blue one And some longies... bit cool here tonight!

Gigi - If CSA get too peeved with him they will take action on him. Have a chat to an accountant hun and find out what entitlements you can get and how much trouble he will get in if he skips his tax returns in the future. Call CSA and find out if they pay and then ask DH for the money, or if he has to pay before you get anything.

I want more nappies, but we have bills to pay first. And right now they are a want not a need so they come last on the list of priorities. Good news is that we dont have any overdue ones now!!

That is good news Ali, nothing worse than overdue bills wondering how your going to pay them all!! (or in my case simply getting the due dates mixed up )

Oh I made a cover for someone that said - pimp my butt - once and it looked HOT! Maybe I should go down that path again

Gigi - get on the phone babe and have a chat to someone when DP is at work. OR email one of us so we can do it for you..you need to know what your intitled to babe and can understand your hesitation's. On the SB front...i still have to sell our mediums...im so slack!

Mel - Ive emailed Michelle to see when some more are coming out but I can access my dame email cause its asking me for a user name and password...stupid thing!

Sarah - we'll be in QLD around the 12th of September....jed has said no meet up but he can kiss my rosie butt...im not going all that way up there not to see some of my mates . Might have to organise a big meet up with a few of us

MOFG - A kick Ali...ah I miss that! I am so clucky again but i know its just cause Mateauz has gotten to independant. There's no room at the inn for more babies

Off to wash a load...looks like a noice day and a spotsiville visit looks like it could be on the cards

    WOMB - hmmmm raw hide

thanks girls for the night nappy configuration and newborn poo tips.

I took the BBB out of the soaking bucket today and huge difference... so not so scared now for when i wash it!

I have a IB boo with a trifold and insert... i wonder if that would do ok overnight or not???

Missy - how does ash go with all the padding on his tummy? lol sometimes i feel that Ethan looks like he is nose diving with just a normal MCN on let alone a boosted nappy lol.

Maz - post some pics of your pimped ones... love to see them!

Fj - E is the same... skinny legs! lol. so i have gone back to folding the BBB down.

Ness - how did the big move go? i hope you are go in with your pares!

Gigi- *hugs* i dont know what to say. i havent been in your situation but i wanted to give you a big hug anyhow!

Saram - you are game! lol i am nervous about poo but like you said yes it all seems to come out eventually! As for cutting down liquid at night. We did this too. Ashley used to have 180 ml milk right before bed with her book , then we cut it down to 120ml and the night nappy situation improved! yaya!!. Oftern i will let her go an hour before bed after dinner (as she always drinks about 250ml h20 with dinner...) and this lets her get a pee out before bed time!

Ali- Yay for kicks!! woohooo.. how exciting

PP he goes better on his tummy than back. When he's on his back he just throws up heaps because his bum is so much higher than his head lol The thing is to use the boosters the right way to there doesn't HAVE to be heaps on the front. We have the normal BBH nappy with the big booster snapped in the front snaps, the small on the back. That way there is 2 layers in the front and the small booster which is MOSTLY on the back. Then I just place one magicall booster along the whole nappy on the outside
Then woolies or cover or whatever.
    It's not really big
Katones try giving her a milk container. You know the 2 or 3 ltr plastic things, take the ring off and the cap and let her have it. Dogs LOVE them and spend hours chewing it into a flat shape
