gigi - not good, i hope it doesnt take too long to heal
has anyone tried the brauers nappy rash cream?
wohb - pink swaddlebees eco
Awww Gigi - hon - ouchies. Sending you really quick healing vibes and lots of love.
Maz - how did Mat's party go? Was it awesome? And happy almost birthday to your little man - unbelievable that he's almost one already.
Rhyb - awww, that sucks sweet. Just what you don't need babe.
Um, just a real quicky from me because we are all in the land of snot. DP started with a cold, Euan got it two days ago (and has been coughing/vomiting phlegm all today which has been utterly lovely), and I'm getting it now and feel like crud after a couple of days of no sleep.
Hopefully I will be cheered up by fluffy mail tomorrow. I am waiting for stuff from B4B that was sent on the 22nd December, but from WA. If it doesn't arrive tomorrow I'm going to consider it lost. Seller has great rep so I doubt it's anything dodgy. I'm waiting on five different bits of fluff to arrive so I'll be keeping my postie busy this week.
WOHB: Cute Tooshies fitted and skull and crossbones fleece cover.
oh Gigi!! I had an accident with a knife on Christmas eve. I had a surgical nurse here & a chef & they patched it up and told me to go and get stitches on Christmas... needless to say I didn't, but we put tissue glue in at work on Boxing day & stirrup strips to hold it together. It was my left thumb. I was in serious pain for 2 days afterwards & up all night Christmas Eve with a throbbing finger.
Nothing much nappy related here.
Bugga Gigi, I did a similar thing once, hope it heals fast for you.
Maz, I PMed you about 3 weeks ago re ordering some covers, did you recieve it? and do I have to wait for the dates on your site to purchase or can I just put in an order?.
No rush, dont need em for 3 mths.....
Hey Suse
Is that the fleece cover I sent you???
Back from our trip and exhausted. And back in MCNs starting tomorrow too YAY.
Hope you had a great birthday party for Mat, Maz!
Ouchie Gigi, take it easy!
Suse, hope you feel better soon!
Head not thinking clearly, still tired after nap. Hello to everyone else!
Aww Gigi hope your feeling better. That sucks.
Suse hope the boys get better and you dont catch their colds.
Maz Im saving cashola for when youre taking orders again so look out  Hope Mateauz had a good party and has fun on Thursday!
Im thinking I need to get a play group Aidens not really getting the idea of crawling and hes really trying. I think other kids would benefit him or am I crazy? Im just wondering cz everyones making a big deal about him being 7 months and he cant sit on his own, he cant crawl only says mum and bub and not very clearly. Please tell me Im stressing over nothing.
Other news XPs mother called to have a go about buying DS nappies off b4b telling me if I expect DS to wear other kids nappies I should wear other peoples jocks  That bit her in the bum cz I emailed her pics of ds (to be nice) and she emailed back raving on about his gorgeous nappy (cheetah jamtots). Guess where I got that?? She had to eat her own words and I got what would translate as an apology from her. Yay!
WOHB: BBB
rhyb - at 7 months you wouldn't really be expecting them to sit or crawl at that age. Each baby develops differently. If you're worried, get a full check up with a trusted gp. If you don't have a trusted gp, I'm happy to recommend mine. He's fantastic. As for speaking, Emily only says 'dada', and that's perfectly fine.
Are you free this week? Pop around if you like so he can have some friends to play with :D
Yeah sounds good Jodi. I took him to a GP and he said DS isnt developing as he has no interaction with other littlies and I should be taking him to playgroup but im shy  He does weird things like he was playing in his room while I was hanging out clothes and I could hear him making weird noises on the monitor so I went inside to check on him and he was under his bed. God only knows how  So far all Ive seen is him get on his knees so I cant really figure it out
Rhyb Jaidan didn't crawl properly until he was 11 months old. He used to scoot on his butt from about 7 months. Chase on the other hand was crawling before 5 months lol they really are ALL so different! I wouldn't be too worried about it right now, it is too early for that!
Nappy news, well I got a lovely email today to say my nappies are getting posted monday! So I will have 2 more Wild Child Bling nappies to add to my 4 I already have lol
Rhyb - I wouldnt worry about DS not sitting or crawling, every kid has their own time frame for milestones! My eldest is a whiz kid, was crawling and cruising at 6mths and walking at 10mths full time, had an extensive vocab by one blah blah blah but Ripley, totally different story! He didnt crawl til 8.5mths (he went from commando to knee crawling pretty quickly though) and really surprised us by walking at 11mths, I honestly expected it to be more like 14mths! He's such a chilled out dude and likes doing things in his own time, he obviously just wanted to do it when he felt like it and once he made the decision to its was all systems go from there. Aiden may very well be the same, he'll be slow to take it up but once he does it'll be a split second change and he'll be off and running (or crawling in your case). I thought the reason behind Jetts eagerness to do everything early was being in childcare one day a week but Ripley has had his big brothers leadership in things like that and STILL took his sweet time so blows the learn off other kids theory out of the water. Same goes for speech (although I do think it helped Jett some in that department). Playgroup is always a good thing for kids though, there is only so much us mums can give them and other kids tend to be what they are looking for at times. If we were in Cairns Id offer my boys as playmate's :)
Poo on your xp's mother too, silly woman, whats wrong with pre-loved goods as long as their clean and in good nick? I own a few little op-shop gems that I love to wear! I consider it being $$ concious which isnt a bad thing at all.
oh I love op shopping for everything! Ashtons clothes, my clothes, the boys clothes, material, wool! You can find some great things!
I got awesome books for under $2 each (including mem fox and the whos feet/ears etc series), osh kosh/PP/fred bare clothes and even a nice warm winter coat for myself for $5! I really love it!
My boys have some lovely baby clothes I scrounged up in op shops and people comment on how cute they are and ask where I got them from. I always love the look on their face when I saw 'Oh the Salvo's op shop!" Dh's fave going out shirt was found on one of my op-ping trips, practically brand new and a brand name to boot!
Yeah Im not bothered too much just thought what a stupid thing to care about really  Im trying to focus on the fact that DS is clothed, fed and most of all loved and they can stick their opinions lol I love b4b so why should I justify it to them??
Morning all *waves*
I'm back - and we successfully did cloth - few mummy tantrums on the weekend though - damn rain !!! Who doesn't own a dryer these days!! grrr..
ANYHOO...
G'day all
*mwah*
Just a quick one - gotta go to work.
:leap:yay mels back! lol
got some fluff, tester stuff, they look GREAT, off to do an extra wash to get them on her butt asap!
wohb - purple panda baby
oh Mel I am happy you were successful lol too bad about the rain! I would die without my drier!! Funny thing is that I never had one before Ashton was born lol and I don't use it all the time, very rarely actually, but i couldn't imagine not having it anymore!!
I hope everyone is well! I have my Tafe course today, Business cert 1, just something to pass the time. So excited about getting out and doing something! Going to take a big deep breath and leave Ashton in the child care that is provided.... it's a great CC and he is only 2 minutes away from me in the other end of the building, but still!! Last time I put him in the cot to sleep and picked him back up when he woke lol
WOHB - Razzily Rhino pocket
Okay, quick question....
Maz covers. Will they fit good over BBB and BBH or should I stay with the ones that they came with? Also, have 1 box of newborn sposies (just till i get the whole baby wrangling thing sorted) so I have started off my mcn stash with mainly smalls. Will Maz smalls fit over what I have or do i go bigger. Prob have more to say, but have morning brain  TIA
shell - I only use Maz's covers over my bbh stash. So yeah, they'll fit. What size did you get in the covers? If you're boosting the bbh up you made need the next size up in the cover.
Ta Jodi.
I havent got any Maz covers yet, am waiting till thurs. Am kind of in dillema land as the BBH and BBB ones hat I have are the OSFM type that seem to be the workhorse for most of you guys. (thats why I got em :D)
But even when fold em down and make them on the smallest fitting, I wonder how they will fit on a newborn. (they still look pretty big to me)
And I didnt want to go out and buy a bunch of newborns and be overwhelmed by the whole business and not use em (and allow DP to say I told you so...)
So I only have 4 babybehhinds covers, 2 pul and 2 wool all in small. I am kinda thinking that it may take a month to get into mcns so am not sure how much boosting I will be doing. What do you recon?
Dp also really likes the animal prints so I want some of those to appease him. Also, does anyone do a cammo print cover or nappy and i really want a cheetah print too. For some strangely disturbing reason, Adam wants the kid dressed barney rubble style....:o
yep maz' covers are great over bbh/bbb...i don't really like using the PUL covers any more...they seem to be just sitting there now....
i now need to get my hands on a white/ivory nappy...for Jacks Baptism.....
WOJB ~ maz sweet dreams NN / maz minky cover
In the early days with Emily I only used one booster, not both, with my bbh. She was in a small cover for a couple of weeks, but grew too quickly. It's not really until they get older, wee more, and possibly sleep through the night that you need to boost heavily.
They do look bulky, but they will fit. Depending on the size of your bub, you might find in the first couple of weeks he might be too small for them, but as you're using sposies in the first couple of weeks, you should be alright.
Cool then, maybe will just get 2 smalls and see how long they fit for.
I agree with you on the PUL I got em before I "discovered" minkee...
Thanx Kitt3n, will go have a look.
Also do I have to pre register on the maz site to go shopping?
