Ok OMG i just had one of the most diasterous MCN days!
I was all excited about our first full day out with 2 in cloth. DH surprised us by taking us all to the zoo.
We arrived and getting the nappy bag out of the car the strap broke. So we decided to throw a few into a knapsack which had a strap instead.
DS did a huge poo plosion in a wonderoo and it was well contained YAY... so i thought this i good....
THEN.. on the way home we thought, well we will drop into DFO (factory outlet shopping)... anyhow. DD Did a poo in her BG.... DH was in colorado with the spare nappy and wipes in his bag. So i walked her to colorado and said ' i need to change her can i get your bag... then he turned to get it and she run behind him and when he turned she fell to the floor BIG TIME!.... ok at this point i didnt know the extend of the poo... so there we were in the middle of a menswear store with ashley on the floor like acream pie.... poo flew out the sides across the change room floor. i picked her up and it was all down her legs (then realised it was a poo vomit!)... and had to carry her intot he next building where the change room was. DH had poo all up his arms (luckily not on the shirt he was trying on!!!) and i had it on the front of me as i was carrying her.
i didnt have a plastic bag as they were in the nappy bag with the broken strap in the car. I thought - i am not carrying a nappy full of poo vomit and tried to rinse it in the baby bath ink much to the disgust of the other mum in the change room (hey i washed it down with soap after wards. Wrapped in paper and looked at the near by stores to ask for a plastic bag.... so i chose a menswear suit store figuring who would want me out of their store the quickest, thus not denying me a bag.... lol)....
so i have nappies soaking now.... lol what a day of poo is all i can say.

Don't have much to say - Euan is teething and averaging 5 hours of sleep a night (and has only just gone down for his day sleep 15 minutes ago), DP has a cold and is working, I'm knackered and grumpy, and it's peeing down with rain. We are supposed going to a BBQ tonight (we may still make it), but for some reason kicking back watching Battlestar Galactica and playing Wii (OK, so we're geeks - you mean you hadn't already figured that out? LOL) and SLEEPING sounds much more inviting.
WOHB: probably a very very very wet D'lish, I was about to change him when he fell asleep, there was NO WAY ON EARTH that I was waking him up.
P.S. I got a funky new ticker too...
Oh my lord PP I nearly wet myself laughing although Im sure to you it wasnt funny at the time! Typical of kids to pick a day like that to do poo explosions, or in your case poo vomit :lol:

we've got a quiet one tonight, just got a few friends coming over. We can't go anywhere on NYE anymore cause there are too many illegal fireworks near us, and my dog goes absolutely nuts. Last year she broke down our timber doors and vomitted all over the decking the poor thing

PINK - oh honey, you have my sympathies.
i have learnt, if nappy bag breaks, transfer EVERYTHING in nappy bag, to the Temporary Pretend Nappy bag.
now i have an old opshop nappy bag, that permanently lives in the car, set up with one of everything you would need. So if i manage to lose our nappy bag, or drop it where it's gone, i have back up. Hardly every use it (i keep a OSFA pocket there) but it's good to have it there.
FJ - i talked DP around to wiping bilby better (more effectively) by telling him, if he squishes up the wet wipe, he will get poo on his hands! if he spread the wipe out, he gets to keep his hand poo free. That worked for us! (usually, he ignores most things i say, you mention Poo and he's all ears!!!).
dh is very nervous when i put bilby in trainers/ knickers - he is dreading the runny poo everywhere and how to clean it our of wherever she does it in our tiny place where it is most unlikely the floor will be the only place/item it gets.
MAZ - cleaning outside at night! i consider that spider's territory! you are brave! i would have run too! hope you don't dream of spiders all night LOL.
i wonder if Queen Mabel is moved in enough to enjoy her and PUnky's NYE, i hope so.

Well Ashley just pooed in her nightnappy lol.... cheeky thing lately haha.
Anyhow i have been doing some poo vomit thinking...... And i am wondering if she has a dairy issue. We changed her from formula to Milk about a month ago (again - we did it at 12 months and he had a ;ot of rashes and put her back on formula)... anyhow she now seems to poo 2-3 times a day instead of 1 and lots more poo vomit... i wonder if it is the dairy?
What should i try? Soy?
I wish i didnt sell my 12 BG now... lol i love them on E! hehe bugger. oh well

Well I have decided I am not even going to try to catch up all the threads I must have missed, I am just going to jump straight in here, so dont mind me!
Nothing nappy related to report aside that I am having withdrawals - havent used a cloth nappy for what seems like months! It just got to difficult trying to keep up with them in the hospital and the comings and goings that have been going on lately.
But a few more weeks and I will be back home and can get back to the good stuff :)

i had half a tiny sherry glass of alcohol at midnight, i could have easily knocked back a highball of lemonade and Lillet or Cointreau on the rocks. No, make that a Japanese SLipper (midori, cointreau, lemon juice, lemonade). while i'm dreaming, might as well go for broke.
wotbb: bilby is really letting me know these days, of her preference for Bare Bottom, as cute as it is, our place is not suitable for the results of Bare Bottom, so she screams when i put knickers, trainers, or nappy on her, against her will. Trying to nappy a flailing bilby is not a fun experience. I like the days when she chooses a nappy herself, rubs the minky against her cheek and says "ooooh" with a big smile, then it's easy.

GiGI, ISla is starting to be the same. just tonight she took her nappy off 3 times telling me she needed to poo. The first time was great she actually did wee & poo on the potty. But then I think she realised "hey this lets me get up out of bed with no one telling me to go back to bed!" so she kept doing it. But Icouldn't exactly rouse on her KWIM?
but she tired out soon enough

when your little ones were new born did they "splutter poo" many times a day? most of her nappy changes are due to a lil poo splutter, have started using liners now so changing them and keeping the nappy. her rash is getting better too :dance:
pp - i must prefer a fitted with a cover instead of the aio
rhyb - i will join you in confession - I have spent about $350 on nappies in the last week, NO MORE KITTEN!!! (my aim is to have enough to be able to wash once every two days once she gets to medium size, i think i now have plenty :) ).... i just love fitteds and covers so much, had to get some more!

Yea sadly they dont seem to have much in a medium anymore. Aidens 9kg so does that make him a medium or a large? Ive heard of babies being in medium for such a long time but hes getting so big I think hes gonna blow past that, though strangely enough hes still in small peapods. Im trying to decide piggy, cheetah or monkey? :redface::lol:

I don't get my DH. Seriously! He carries on about cloth. Hates it! He will go out and buy sposies for Caleb :rolleyes: Last night while there is half a packet of them in the cupboard he puts Caleb to bed in a beetlebums pocket. It leaked a tad but boy was it full.
