Well I accidentally left ash in a berry plush over night and he woke up soaked :( now I have to change my sheets DAMN IT!

Well I am happy to say with a weekend of just Ashton and I, I have an empty nappy bucket AND an empty laundry basket!

Please tell me that some of you have 'forgotten' about a nappy before? I went out the other day and Dave changed Ashton while we were out, I didn't have a wetbag cos it was in the wash (they both were) so Dave popped it in the back pocket of the bag... and you guessed it I FORGOT ABOUT IT! Yesterday we went out and couldn't work out what the horrible smell in the car was... then it clicked... it's been in there for 4 days YUCK! At least I didn't get all the blame lol I said "crap I forgot!" and he said "sorry babe I forgot to remind you" haha

Mel I've "lost" a nappy in the boot of DH's car. Didn't smell though cos it was only a wee'd in one.

Wanda if your bin is getting too full maybe you can tell the parents they need to take the used nappies home with them if they don't want you to put cloth on the kids.

Sam - my Itti's are on the way too - AND they worked out i could save a whole $7.31 on my order by doing something different so they have refunded that via pay pal! woot!

Thanks so much for your replies. As you may have seen I've also posted the question in the general nappy area as well as the child care area.

I've got lots to think about.

When it comes down to it, some of the issue is the amount of rubbish that the nappies make, as well as that, we are a family of four, so there's our rubbish, as well as rubbish from meals from 5-6 kids per day as the parents supply food for their children. So yes, the bin does get quite full. We've got great neighbours and often top up their bins.

I'm going to put the questions to the parents I have and give them the option of what way they would like to go. In the long run, it's got to save them money. Just on Friday I changed Mr 14mo, five times (that was between 9.30am and 4.30pm). He also slept for 2 hours - and yes, he needed every one of those changes.

To answer someone's question - I pop as much poo in the toilet as possible - anything to stop that smell (as well - that is where it is meant to go)

Hmm I think the Ittis are annoying Ds1. He has these little pink rash-looking dots on his nether regions (just the penis/scrotum). I put sposies on him 2 days ago with cream/powder to see if that helped and they went away BUT they are back today *sigh*

Any idea's on whats causing the irritation and whether the paw paw ointment would help?

Could be heat rash Anna? Euan has had the same thing for the last few days, I've been using moo goo on it and it's mostly subsided. So, pawpaw could help. Hasn't bothered him though. Nappy free time should help too. He's had it on his butt crack and around his neck/chest (he's been drooling like a champion). It's so humid at the moment.

I have a new favourite nappy - my beetlebums ROCK! Seriously, they are the best pockets ever, and they are a perfect fit on tall skinny E. And he obviously loves them, because he poo'd in the first one within five minutes of putting it on. :rolleyes: Sign of a good nappy.

Ah your a star Suse I never thought of heat rash! He has had a bit of rash around his mouth/neck (drooling there too, think the 2yo molars are arriving), it doesnt seem to hurt his penis just looks uncomfy. I so wish he could be trusted to use the potty then I could let him run nakey for a little while :lol:

I probably wouldn't mention Cheeky Butts on Nappycino if I was you....is a bit of a sore spot on there as far as she is concerned....As far as I am concerned Cheekybutts knockoffs = Karma coming back to bite her in the bum!! Karma can be a right royal biatch sometimes!!

QUESTION.....

those of you with little squirts....
you know the supply tube/hose/pipe from your wall to the toilet...it obviously has to be 'flexible' so you can take it off and attatch the LS.
BUT out supply hose/tube/pipe if metal ie:- NOT flexible... do you know if you can change the pipe that i currently have (the metal non flexible one) to a flexible one so i can get a LS???
Had to aske here...as my hubby has NO fricken clue....

I'm also still trying to work out inserts and boosters etc... ah the joys! DH has the camera in Canada too so I can't take a pic of him right now - went to get it when he had his delicious Maz minky on before. Ah well - 6 days to go!

Katones I think I get what you are saying.

Have you got your LS already? It comes with a hose that goes from the wall to the toilet and you replace the pipe with it. The hose has a t-shaped fitting that both the LS and the cistern attach to.

kat - ours isnt flexible - the ls just attached to it.... come over if you wanna see?

LOL Raven...it is actually the "supply" pipe from the wall to the toilet (gives the toilet its water) NOT supplied with LS...
ALL iss good..i rang my daddy and asked him :D he knew what i was on about....and i am going to trot off to bunnings and buy this pipe replacement tube/hose/pipe then buy a LS :D WOO HOO!!!!

oh i bought a BBH magicall today in medium...a nanny nappy :D

The LS comes with that bit! Get the LS first before you buy anything else as you may be buying stuff you don't need to.

kat - get the LS, it has all the bits you need. Our old-skool house had a copper supply pipe to the cistern and I just swapped it for the one that came with the LS. Easy. And yeh, I did it. DP is not the handyman in this household... A master wrench is handy for awkward-to-get-to places too. Gee, that sounds wrong, doesn't it?? hmmm... nappy related... um, I got a pile to fold and put away now that I've finished cooking dinner, mown the lawn and assembled DP's gazebo I bought him for fathers day last year! Oh, and I had to put another BumG on DS back to front today coz he's a little squirmy monsta who wont stay still for more than a millisecond. He's scooting all over the house now, so I think I should stick a cleaning cloth to his nappies and let him polish the floors for me!
