no nappies this weekend .. its all sposies :( staying in bris to do a course and all the nappies are dirty / in the wash and it just keeps on raining !!
oh and for those who are TT .. DS just wees on the floor if hes nude !! i just caught him in the fridge and he peed on the floor while looking in a fridge !! he has more accidents at home then we ever do when we go out .. grr

shopping today (when i get organised) will include one of them round hanger thingies with all the pegs, soem more normal pegs, a new clothes airer (cos the one we have has lost a wheel and is very lop sided - no way i'm permanently using books to balance it!), washing powder or liquid for sensitive bots... might have to do some shopping for us while i'm out too....
i need to find a girlie colored nappy or cover with a Mack on it (just hte mention of the Holden/Ford thing got me thinking) - if anyone sees one, let me know!

Sandmans are pretty good. I don't use mine anymore cos the elastic has gone in it, but it was good enough for DS
I have a sandman & don't use it much either as a couple of the snaps are dodgey... when I have used it in desperation it's been alright but I preffer WC or even a heavily boosted BBH.
ETA: I too am eagerly awaiting a certain somebodies latest creation for nights.... ;)
woohoo got my little squirt in the post yesterday (despite some issues I'm having with ebay over an old account I lost that has been compromised resulting in my current account now being suspended!)! so will get hubby to install it this weekend :D Saturday is completely free atm and its staying that way, I'm gonna get my butt into gear and get these prefolds started! have some covers coming from B4B auctions too!

i think i'd prefer the actual truck or the bulldog that lives on his bonnet! i'm not sure - just something i'll keep an eye out for... have seen lots of truck stuff, but all very masculine colors - obviously girls aren't supposed to like trucks! lol:
I second Sarah's suggestion of asking people for custom designs. I've gotten really cheeky lately with that and DS is building up a stash of custom jobs cause everyone I've asked has been very nice about it.
I also am not sure if we're allowed to mention stores/WHAMs if we're not selling anything but simply recommending someone, so I will and hope I don't get in trouble, I've found Nikki at Genesa Forge and Kel at Spunky Butts to be really helpful and a pleasure to deal with so I suggest try one of them first.
BG - I totally agree...its noice and refreshing to get a person ;) ask for something out of the ordinary rather then the same old same old. Speaking of which....bikes are in the house :) Eugena baby!!!!

Went to a lunch Wilhelm and his special needs class put on for us parents today. Had our red fields 2 up cover on and got asked...oh what nice pants..their not cloth are they ...um YES!!!!!!!!! lots of ohh's and ahh's adn that was about it.
Im thinking a little boy has got teeth coming soon, he has blisters on the end of his foreskin :( he is such a good boy...no crying nothing...just wants a fiddle when his nappy is of :ROFL:

Had to drop the spare key for DH's car off today. They still can't start it so if the spare doesnt work then it might be gone for a little while longer. Not that I mind, 3 cars is too many for me to drive, 2 is already!! And it means I can make sure there is money available for the excess if it takes another month!!
The lawns are mown and the dog has had his heartworm needle. And I am sore as!!! I think I might be able to hang the washing in the machine on the airer tonight but whatever can go in the dryer, will. Then I need to do a nappy wash (I had to make this nappy related somehow!!)
Oh, My AP Delivery guy was one of the guys from church!! He was on his way home from work and decided to drop it in because the contractor was not supposed to card it, and the guy mowing my lawn is a friend from church so they had a bit of a chat which was nice.

Ugh can I just say, I hate leg gussetts sometimes! My bumG pockets smell like poop around the gussetts still even though they have been washed 3x! Any idea's on how I can get the smell out.
BG - the 'Mack' nappy would be a hit here with my Ds1, he adores the movie Cars (I truly think its a unisex movie, not boy-related at all, I love watching it!) which is why we had to get him the Iishfly v-dub kombi nappy - he calls it his "Filmore nappy" ;)
BG - a girl can certainly wear a boyish cover, just put a pink dress or singlet with it!! Sarah wanted me to Hyena the Lightening McQueen cover that someone had in her recent stocking. She even has a Lightening McQueen flip out sofa and watches Cars at least once a week!! I think someone will have a Mack or be able to get one for you!!

AnnaT - i didn't realise bumg pockets had leg gussets.
I guess poo is staying inside the creased elasticv little grooves, so my suggestion would be to turn the pocket inside out, and wash on hot (not higher than 60 degrees).
if they are still smelly, i would do a "de smell wash" of
- half cup bicarb soda (in little drawer where wash powder normally goes)
- half cup white vinegar (in little drawer where fabric conditioner goes)
using hot water, no hotter than 60 degrees.
i thought i had confused bilby, virtually all day Wed at home, in knickers, lots of potty and toilet insert time, then today, out all day, in nappies. But as soon as we got home about 5.30pm, i had to wee, and she told me she did too, so i whipped off her nappy, expected to find it wet, t wasn't, and she made a deposit within one minute of sitting on potty.
the new potty has made all the difference. the wide base i think is giving her physical security, she no longer wobbles about, trying to sit down on the potty. The childcare potties are the type she has trouble with, so i'm thinking her potty strike will prolly continue at CC. But with a step, she might use the Tiny Toilets there.
wotbb: just got out of bath, so wrapped in a towel, what a cutie.

QM - she's got a newborn so I guess that's the driver. But she does great customs, I got a pale green minky with red lining for Christmas, and a rhino with a candycane embroidered on the back. She's grouse ;)
