Have I become a thread killer?????
Must be Maz! LOL
I've got no news here. Disappointed as I said that the birthday present nappy didn't arrive. Grrr. Unless I see if I can drop in on Janie from theweewuns in the morning if she's got something appropriate. I can swap the girl colour nappy I ordered for Ruby for a boy color for Tyler I guess.
No nappies to even wash today as Ty's been creamed up to the max and in sposies all day. Tomorrow he should wake up to life back in cloth :)
Hmmm, might to look around the sponsors of the GDUNH
Nah Maz, your not a thread killer, everyone one else but us has a life........
missymoo:
spoke to the midwife about the headaches Wednesday when I was at the birthing centre for my routine check-up. My blood pressure was just as low as it always is (SUPER low) so she said most likely they are hormonally based and I suspect they are somewhat attached to the amount of fluid I am ingesting (which I suspect hasn't been enough)!
I drank stacks of water today and I feel heaps better.
I'm tired but need to have a snack before I go to bed or I'll wake up hungry.
Now if I could just find a cure for my insomnia I would be all set especially since DS seems to have figured out that nighttime is for sleeping - it only took him THREE YEARS!!
WOHB: BBH bamboo with a Tots Bots fleece cover
Nah Maz - It was just busy in the morning. I have managed to do some washing and get rid of a garbage bag full of rubbish and now I can do no more until I have iced my pelvis. I have 3 weeks to have my house spick and span, my parents are coming up for a holiday!! A little at a time and I should be able to do it.
WOEB: baby blue dot minky CT with added booster and soaker
WOSB: Pina Colada WC night nappy with Mazalicious Cars Cover.
 I should so be off here and cutting but ahhh it can wait!
Rach - bugger about the nappy not turning up...what did you order??
You know I often sit here and wonder if you girls are like me....sit here..hair all messed up, wearing pj's with everying hanging out
ah the life
ETA - oh now I have visions of ALi sitting in a bowl of ice cubes while on BB
WOMB - heaps of anti fungal cream on his blister infested penis :( Mirabai night nappy and cheetah minkee Maza
WOVB - Butterfly catnaps HB
Nah that would just give me a numb bum!!! I look a bit like a guy who has just had the snip with my icepack!!
And Maz - yet again you prove how alike we are!! I could stay in what I wear to bed all day, but right now because we have been out today I am decent. but my hair is all over the place!!
Yanno I should remove that double post but it's too funny :p Maz echoed back on herself!
Ali hang 5 for a sec...I think your parents could help you out a bit. Don't break your back hun!
Had a couple of leaks from ittis today :( I have a dilemma because I think she is out wetting them but if I put the boosters in there is a gap around her legs. *sigh* too much worry for my little bwain ;)
raven that just means you have to buy more ittis so you can change her more often ;)
Don't worry Sam - That is in an entire day. I need clothes washed to wear and have done most of the work while sitting. And I miss counted, they arrive in 2 weeks.
I did fold the nappies and have put them all away, and I have a half load of nappies with some clothes in the machine for me to hang and throw in the dryer tomorrow.
evening all,
must be the season for blistered penii! Pip has a wonderful blister happening.
Who was asking about new snoozywuns? They are in the high 30's, I haven't bought any for a while though, and the last couple I've bought have been customs.
WoHB - DH is insisting on sposies and this evening he totally out-wet it, and DH changed him so I'm guessing a sposie again. *sighs*
you know guys i just wanted to say how lovely this forum is, i love you all!!
(there are some silly people on other forums)
XOX MWAH TO YOU ALL!
I ditto that Kitten lol some people grind on my nerve though no matter where I go :) Lucky noone in this thread yet haha
Well I am back for a quick announcement to rub in... cos I have to...
 I got a blue munch crunch auriel for $20   sorry couldn't help it I was so excited!
Never got the nappies hung out... how slack is that. Supposed to be ok tomorrow so ill do it in the morning. Too dark out there now and there are spiders on my clothes line, I know it!
Heidi I am glad you found the cause. I always forgot to drink enough water, then when I started drinking heaps I felt better. Same with feeding Ashton, when I don't drink enough I feel crap.
As for Dave and I ... I just don't think it will work. I asked him to help me more cos he only came to visit us 3 days out of 7 and he thought I was asking too much :( Told me I was complaining. That he shouldn't have to spend all his free time here. Sorry but Ashton isn't a toy, and I am not supposed to be a single mum, where is my free time? When do I get a 10 minute break? Even when he is here I still do everything. He has changed 5 nappies, bathed him twice. Doesn't do anything else. Just plays with him SOMETIMES but most of the time he has a play for 5 minutes then doesn't pay him any more attention. It is just not on and no amount of me asking him to change is going to make him change when he clearly didn't want to :( Unfortunate, made worse because I do love him, which is hard because i have no idea why when he treats me like ****.Wooo that was a lot lol sorry... just like verbal vomit once I get started.
Hey anyone have msn? I am bored with noone to talk to and for some reason the chat never works for me :(
Missy - I have MSN - just add me through the little blue guy in the corner babe.
Kitt3n - strange folk I must say....
Oh dear, what brought that on Kitt3n?
noooooooooooooo
stop!
wash similar colours with each other
fleece attracts lint galore
anything fluffy like terry loopy stuff - sherpa, terry flats, even white microfibre inserts - has huge amounts of lint lost first few washes.
do all the white stuff together so they can lint each other!
if you have coloured and dark fleeces, at least put them in washbags (in the nonwhite wash).
it's the first few washes of the white linty stuff that you need to keep stuff separate for
i LOVE black and strong coloured fleeces, a lovely WAHM gave me this heads up on keeping them looking good - put them in a zippered washbag - so theydon't cop lint. not a MESH washbag either. i use "dustmite pillowcase protectors" from big w, kmart etc
they cost less, are bigger, have better zips
RED PUL has been known to leak - turning white nappies, into various shades of pink e.g red peapods.
MY LAST FEW POSTS are not on here, i think cyberspace gobbled them up, so i haven't been ignoring questions, but my answers have vanished! (Queen, i answered you very comprehensively about fitteds - for e.g).
Queen - you like the Cute Tooshies Bamboo Delights, i recommend you also try the Cute Tooshies Soy Bamboo nappy - even thirstier than the BD.
KITTEN - a night nappy with natural inner? what about Widdlewun night nappy by Snoozywuns? you find Snoozywuns on the ozebaby site.
Michelle at Sustainable Hemp Products has the license to make Sandman Nappies (originally made by Nappy CHappies).
I think everyone is a bit on edge, re the economy, how it affects us all, the recent horrible job losses we are hearing about each day on the news, it's pretty soul destroying isn't it? Sometimes compromises have to be made, for businesses to survive, i don't think anyone enjoys NOT employing locals.
Cheeky MOnkey - another WAHM who had been having a break, but will be back from the Nappy Hunt (March) onwards, is Whizz Kidz (on ozebaby). i have been using her OSFM fitteds and nightz nappies for last few years, highly recommended. And she makes cute newborn stuff too.
(so another fitted reccy for Queen there too).
(and another natural inner night nappy reccy for Kitten too).
actually, i think Cuddles N Cloth make an entirely bamboo night nappy as well.
not to mention, the Mazalicious night nappy, soon to make it's appearance.
more than i thought (that have a natural inner).
MELBEL - hope you ahd fun playing with the ittis! lush!
ALIOOPS - hope the ice is helping your pelvis
NANA - now i had somethign to say to you too, and now my mind has gone blank! grrr.
wotbb: KK AIO (made by possum pouches) she's so lovely, i bet she's doing fundraising to help the injured animals from the vic bushfires, such a caring lady. she's always out to promote mcn, do auctions for causes, so giving.
1st para
did you know that the organic merino wool in the Disana woollen pullups, is Australian wool? it's taken to Germany, then turned into the soakers.
2nd para
berryplush a12? do you have a heavy wetter?
blueberry pockets? i'd suggest stuffing them with bamboo trifolds
if you're on a sidesnap push, i would suggest sugarpeas fleece a12 also.
wohb - do you have the HH that are aplix only, or aplix and snaps in the middle?
do you have access to a snap machine?
and for anyone TT-ing their child, and wanting to buy Aust made trainers, thanks to my latest obsession, i can tell you who those are (if you want to know).
it's 10.43pm, guess how many nappies i've put in the drypail today, for bilby?
ONE
last night's night nappy that got taken off her this morning.
OMG - i can't believe this is happening!
not even an accident to clean up. this is too good to be true, maybe she'll regress tomorrow, have heaps of accidents and i'll wake up out of this dream.
i'm so proud of her, but WHAT ABOUT OUR LOVELY MCN!!!!!
gigi- oh no! i think u need to adopt some1s kid to dress lol
missymel-
blame buddy- lucky DP doesnt mind me shopping for nappies YET. whenever im on the net he asks 'shopping for nappies again?' i think he's figured that nappy shopping makes me happy :) anyhoo if any1 need 1 feel free to blame me LOL
well im nearly all packed ready to fly...hope i packed enough mcns, bought sposies JIC
i have a gobble monster on my hand now, forgive me for asking again but y do i need to rinse the nappies as compared to throwing them straight into the machine with BM?
i have a feeling i'll need to restock on moogoo on our return. oh and i think im gonna miss the GDUNH darn, no shopping for me :(
Ali - hey say they are for me, my internet shut down and my credit cards were stolen so you ordered for me :-) Then later say the nappies were a swap from someone.
OK - I need recommendations for some customs within a reasonable price range for a special newborn coming soon to The Nappy Bucket.
BG - grab yoourself some of those little cloths you put in the wash that gather up colour runs. I always keep some on hand for when washing new clothes etc esp red.
Sammi - We're having itti ishoos too, not happy! :(
Maz - Are you a thread killer... thread killer... thread killer.... thread kille... thread kill.... thread kil... thread ki...
Gigi - Yeah, that's who I meant!! Can't say I like them that much though, I don't think I have used them enough to have washed them enough for them to be at their maximum absorbancy (sp?) so I still preffer our BBH bamnboos.
Punky was starting to get red again yesterday so she was in a spossie overnight.. am thinking I might get some moo goo next week when I have some cash & give that a whirl as well as the bv liners... can't have no cloth again now I'm getting back in the groove!
Have solved a little NR problem in his house...we've changed to lactose free milk for Mateauz...his NR has settled down and isnt bleeding anymore
Sarah - get onto Spunkybutt's or Bizy bee for custom NB's..I just got a 6 pack from BB and their very noice :) . Ive got quiet a few  from Spunkybutt's too
How many times do we need to wash anappy to get good absorbency??? Does it depend on how many washes the bamboo get's before hand???
MissMOo - love SUX!!!!! it is a horrible desease that makes us love baffoons I tell ya
AH brain fart time....I have no idea oh oh yes I do...I might have to sell on my Bubblebubs medium :(..Im trying my hardest not to but the rise is short now....especially after Mateauz recycling last nights tuna casserole that lets just say it, cascaded so nicely out the back of the nappy  Its one of my favourites...a brown cow one Im gonna cry when I have to see it go :(...looks like I might have to buy a few large ones....anyone know if there are any cow large Bubble bubbles or even panda ones around????
Gigi - i hadn't started to wash any of the colored nappies just yet - ended up having a shocker emotionally the last couple of days and thought the nappies could go take a flying leap! i did rewash BBB and BBH with sherpas - i think for the third time - and decided the dryer was going to be my friend for ridding everything of the chunky fluff that is so bad it's dotting the floor under the clothes airer - i got everything maybe 2 thirds dry when the lint filter got so full the dryer shut down! cleaned the filter once, started it again, and got another half full filter when it was all dry! think that's enough pre-washing for the bamboo and sherpas but will do some more for the hemp ones. i'm determined to make sure everything is looking pretty good absorbancy wise before i use it!
my intention was to wash similar colors together - have told DH we need more lingerie bags too! he said i have a stash somewhere that i haven't opened yet (i apparently got them from undercoverwear when i bought myself some stuff) but i have no idea where they are. i really need to do more of OUR washing (DH is really domesticated!) so that i know where things like this are hiding out!
DH should be home today (well, he better be! i'm not having a good week at all!). hopefully he'll help me drag some stuff out. Maz - i so agree with the comment that LOVE SUX! it really DOES make us into buffoons and emotional wrecks - makes us worry so very much...
nappy news - well, q's really:
has anyone received their order from the Widdlewuns stocking? she said she was posting on Monday, but it usually doesn't take this long to arrive here...
Ali - did you do anything spesh to wash your Iish fly sparkly nappy. i was thinking a wash bag on gentle cycle should be enough but don't want to do anything that makes them pretties fall off!
And maz - just so you know - i'm sitting here in a dressing gown with my hair all over the place - i just CBF'd! it's my morning ritual! cuppa, toast with cheese, and sit on the couch catching up with BB...
I have always washed everything together and never had a problem ... the only thing that's attracted anything is the inside of my peapods which picked up everything . Aside from that no colours have run and no fluff has stuck.
Same here Mel, re washing everything together. I find dark fleece is the only issue but the only nap I have with that is the krap katcher & it was a cheapy from B4B anywho so I'm not fussed.
Janie if you're lurking, I got me a gadimal from B4B!! Am waiting eagerly for it to arrive!!
I re-washed my newborn, small and medium nappies yesterday and all bar the Clothd Up ones got dried in the sun, ahhhhh I forgot how good things smell when they are sun-dried. The CU fitteds were fluffing so I ran them through the drier cause I HATE fluff. And I just realised its a good thing I did it too cause Im 35wks tomorrow  Ive already got some prefolds and a fitted newborn nappy + covers (Maz ones hehehe) packed in my labour bag. I cant wait to use them.
I have to admit though, I havent worked out how to use the snappi's yet lol Im guessing it would be easier if the nappy was ON a newborn
BG I didn't do anything special with the washing machine, just checked it when it was done, and dried the outer on the airer instead of in the dryer with everything else. Was dry the next day.
My washing machine doesn't have a lint filter, so I am so used to having lint on everything. Every now and then it goes through the dryer but half the time a can't be bothered.
Anna - Snappis you do the tops first and then pull down for the bottom. So 1 side stretch across to other side, and pull down bottom.
Well I am going to hang the washing outside after the people come to collect the wardrobes from my garage.
thanks Ali - my washing machine is getting a little old so i might chuck it in a lingerie bag just in case. everything is being dried on the airers as much as possible (i don't much like the dryer to be honest!) so that one won't be a big issue for me - i just love that it's a OSFM nappy so it will do her for ages! is it wrong to want the next 13 weeks to FLY by (for ms purposes as well as wanting to put these nappies into use!)
i'm having a slack Biartch day today - was intending to do "stuff" in terms of folding clean clothes etc, washing and drying more baby stuff - but i just can't seem to care! i told DH i'd get motivated enough to shower when he gets home - for today, i'm slothing and i really don't care!
Im having a slack biatch life
well, ok afternoon. I fell alseep on the couch and Milo ran riot for an hour. Loooooooots of cleaning to do..
i went over to a friends house who is due about 4 weeks after me, so show her some of the clothie stuff I have, as she was planning to buy everything in the same brand straight up and I was telling her how they are all really different etc.
So she organised for a demonstrator for a very well known MCN brand to come and do a demo for her..well she didnt turn up, no phone call etc. We couldnt phone her as shes refused to give my friend her phone number when she asked, so all we had was an email address.. :(
Expecting 4 or 5 (its bad when you cant remember) fluffy mail parcels this week! wahoo.
Wow RayRay that is really rude!
Ray if I was her I would be putting in a complaint with the parent company. It does them no favours to have someone doing the dodgy on customers.
Well I still havent gotten around to hanging the washing outside. Too much noise from neighbours pesky little yappers if I do and the girls have just gone down for their nap finally. They really need sleep. Might just have to put the washing on the clothes airer instead.
WOEB: Pink Magicall
WOSB: Tool Box CT.
gee RayRay thats well outta order !! but in saying that i was at a demo today and right in the middle of it my brain reminded me i have a demo on tues night !!
lucky i remembered !! its all the way over in carina .. about 60kms from me but theres no bris demon. yet so its my turf for a while ~ i dont mind BUT the MASTITS/LUMP fairy visited me yesterday and im floored ! esp when i did a demo in toowoomba ( about 50k's away ) !!
im sooo tired im just letting nixon play with DH's xbox and i dont really care !! he knows im sick atm but he was selfish enough to go to work (he offered :o ) and then went and played golf !! grr im angry and sick and sooky , he gonna regret coming home
:yay: on TT Gigi , it happens so fast .. nix is #1 trained but not #2 .. he does that on the floor ! but he'll get the hang of it soon .. who are the trainers by ???
Gigi -My goodness, you must be so happy/sad all at once! Don't you go and leave us now!! Yeah, um, side-snappers just seem to fit better now, and I love the fit of the Berry Plush on DS. However I was carrying him in the sling today for an hour or so (and he's 10kg+ !!!) and he wet thru the nappy, his jeans and my shirt. That was a BP with the tri-fold snap-in. So, yes, heavy wetter :( . I still think the BumGs are great and I shouldn't be so hasty to get rid of them. I'm just having a love/hate moment with stuffing pockets and microfibre and all that... I'll get over it.
I have one Blueberry pocket that's a OSFM and velcro. Like it very much! Want to get more, and try the side-snaps, but can't justify it without selling something else first. Hence the BumGs, seeing as I have mostly those.
HH - I have the OSFM with the adjustable snaps for the sizing and aplix fastening. Don't have access to a snap machine. I have access to... a hammer :). And a sewing machine. A lawn mower, umm, also many sharp utensils. But I prefer the hammer. That wont do, will it?
OK, I have an ishoo.... a big one. DP's family have chipped in and bought us tickets to France to visit them in June (woohoo!!!). BUT DP says I can't take cloth nappies. Not even one or two. (I'm gunna sneak them in anyway!) Admittedly, I took waaaaaay too many on our last holiday to Qld, but whatever... I wasn't to know. But what am I going to do about the fact that DS is ECing all by himself and hasn't pooped in a nappy in ages now? I don't think I can take his funky red potty in my hand luggage!! Oh, the dilemma... somebody think for me please! I'm soooo tired!
WOHB: wild child NN, maz-a-licious cover (which I'm taking to France!)
wow NaNa, gret news on the ECing! Maybe contact their airline & get their advice?
Well today's been a write-off for m, I've had a tummy bug and DH has been cleaning up after me :( and I'm waaay behind in the washing dept. If only I wore nappies, cause then I'd have clean undies. On the bright side, I've lost 3kg since Sunday.
WoHB - something night with a whizzkids fleece cover. I have fluffy mail! CFA soaker, just need to lanolise it! Also got mama-mail! nice cow-print night.
yes, i need another baby to put bilby's mcn on. i sold her nb stuff yonks ago (trying to deal with the fact that she will be my only child), know exactly what i would get if i needed to mcn a nb though. fat chance, but i can't help but dream.
wotbb: KK AIO
CHARMLEA : Australian made trainers?
Econix and Shi Shi Nix by bongo baby.
Marnie's one wet pants by Noonee Wilga.
Daddledoo trainers by Daddledoo nappies on wahmnaps mall
I've got a feeling there might be Genesa Forge ones too, not 100% on that.
comparable prices to the mass produced overseas ones too.
RAYRAY - how incredibly rude of that demonstrator! that's a shocker! i bet the parent company would be livid if they were informed.
KAZBAH - gastro is such a shocker - hugs hon. takes so much out of you, i'm not trying to be funny here, it really does knock you for six. takes a while to get your strength back, glad to hear your dh is looking after you. What a time to get it, when you're worried about possible bushfire evacuation as well! blimey.
ALIOOPS - i commiserate with you over the noisy neighbours!
TERU - GL with your final packing mayhem! have a wonderful time and safe travels!
Gigi - hugs to you, Ari is my last also so my heart goes out you, I know just where you are coming from - I think that is why I haven't been so brilliant with insisting on TT, I love her nappies too much
Hey Gigi - is this your little Bilby I have been looking at on my calender for the past month and not noticed :-) What a gorgy little girl you have!
Well the hunt has begun!!! Has anyone found any icons yet? I am not going to bed until I have 1.
So not hunting this time - got myself into way too much nappy fluff last time - Good luck to the hunters!
