Gigi -My goodness, you must be so happy/sad all at once!
Yes, the sight of bilby's tiny butt in proper knickers makes me laugh, so cute.
We took her out in the car in trainers today, no accidents in the Piddle pad.
Then i see her baskets of UNUSED nappies in her room, and i feel sad.
THe nappy bucket and the little squirt, sitting there in the toilet room unused. Sigh.
Don't you go and leave us now!! Yeah, um, side-snappers just seem to fit better now, and I love the fit of the Berry Plush on DS. However I was carrying him in the sling today for an hour or so (and he's 10kg+ !!!) and he wet thru the nappy, his jeans and my shirt. That was a BP with the tri-fold snap-in. So, yes, heavy wetter :( .
the berryplush use a one mm PUL though. that was why i asked you if you had a heavy wetter. most other PUL's are the two mm type you see.
Do you have any MCN that have malden mills windpro as the outer layer? i swear that stuff is bulletproof. but to be fair, i was not a sling mamma, so have not put any of our mcn thru that particular testing phase.
I still think the BumGs are great and I shouldn't be so hasty to get rid of them. I'm just having a love/hate moment with stuffing pockets and microfibre and all that... I'll get over it.
hmmm, i suggest you just stuff the bumgenius with a bamboo trifold.
did you know that the Procare PUL, doesn't grip? so when you insert the pocket stuffer, the insert just GLIDES in! much easier i find (or found - sob sob!).
Sugarshots and beetlebums (both make SS pockets) use Procare PUL, not many brands do, pity, cos it's the most excellent stuff.
I have one Blueberry pocket that's a OSFM and velcro. Like it very much! Want to get more, and try the side-snaps, but can't justify it without selling something else first. Hence the BumGs, seeing as I have mostly those.
if you get the blueberry sized ss pockets, stuff them with bamboo trifolds.
HH - I have the OSFM with the adjustable snaps for the sizing and aplix fastening. Don't have access to a snap machine. I have access to... a hammer :). And a sewing machine. A lawn mower, umm, also many sharp utensils. But I prefer the hammer. That wont do, will it?
OK, I have an ishoo.... a big one. DP's family have chipped in and bought us tickets to France to visit them in June (woohoo!!!). BUT DP says I can't take cloth nappies. Not even one or two. (I'm gunna sneak them in anyway!) Admittedly, I took waaaaaay too many on our last holiday to Qld, but whatever... I wasn't to know. But what am I going to do about the fact that DS is ECing all by himself and hasn't pooped in a nappy in ages now? I don't think I can take his funky red potty in my hand luggage!! Oh, the dilemma... somebody think for me please! I'm soooo tired!
i thought i had seen COLLAPSIBLE potties on some EC-ing websites, but now i can't find them, so maybe i was hallucinating about that, will email some friends who are EC-ing their bubs, to double check for you. i know they travel a fair bit, but car travel, not air travel.
the more i think about it. Nappies on plane, buy potty when you get to France?
or put yours in your suitcase, stuffed with socks?
(just got a folding toilet seat insert from big w yesterday too). as soon as i bought the exxy potty, she decided the next day she would ONLY use the Big Toilet - typical.
I would be taking funky cloth trainers with me to France if he is EC-ing so effectively. Go the "not yet walking but soon to be TT-d bub"! I think i'm about to have the barely talking, can't dress herself, still breastfed but TT-d toddler.
Do you look at EC-ing websites? like The Potty SHop, Tribal Baby, Tiny Knickers? Look under accessories. Is he Ec-ing even for poo as well as wees?
There is MCN in France too. Petit' Prairie is one french mcn brand i have heard is stocked in Aust.
WOHB: wild child NN, maz-a-licious cover (which I'm taking to France!)
