Missy Mel - Dang it!! It least I know where 2 are already ;)
Why does everything start or happen on a Sunday morning? That just makes my life difficult!!
With the hunt on my post average per day might go down :D But you gotta be in it to win it, and I need to get my brain working again, no stimulation makes me a very boring person  I doubt I will buy anything unless I have a miracle happen.
Not much nappy wise happeing here - They have them on and that's about it.
hey everyone,
well i just tested out a pea pod on ds and it wasn't as good as the magic all beehind. Im in love with the magical beehinds. I know some of you have said u have found them to leek but for us THEY worked treat!! I sooo wished i had the cash to stock up more on them they are great for us. We are VERY happy or at least very happy with the one we have used so far YAY!
Squidipa thats fantastic!! Its always good to find something that works for you. Like we always say - what works for one bub may not work for another!
I've not had a good nappy day - DS has outpeed both the WC and IB at the party we were at the morning. The kid's a freakin pee machine I swear.
squidipa thats awesome!! I love the minky magicalls here :) I have 2 of the new style smooth ones which I don't really use because I prefer the minky ones :)
Mel that blows! Ash has had the same day... he was changed every hour from 12 till 5 today!! Oh and he didn't sleep either... sigh... so much for my hunting time!!

Good morning :hello:
Gigi, How is it that you know so much about MCNs?
Anyone else, The Nappy Hunt?. Is there a grand poobah winner at the end? What do you get?
Hope all of you Melbournians keep safe for the next few days. My family are from Melb but they live near the beach, cept for mu aunt who lives in Healsville.
36 weeks today YAY :bluecheer:
Hayden has finally had some cloth nappies on his poor little butt. This morning he's had his itti bitti and we've just changed it to a tots bots OSFM AIO:bluecheer:
Hi Mel, I'd love to take you up on the offer to check out your stash. It's taken me a while but I think I may have recovered from the shock of having an actual baby! I'm free this week on wed thurs & fri. Would it be ok if I contact you through your store cos I'm not sure how to contact you through here? TIA
Kerrie
maz - pot of gold inside is a turquoise blue. And it's gaawwwwwwgeous. nuff said.
Gigi - thank you for being my personal MCN consultant. You really should be charging for your services.
so... BumGs are usually ok with just the one microfibre insert, but I put in a hemp trifold as a booster sometimes. It's not so much the microfibre I have a prob with, I'm just dealing with the 8-10 month developmental no-sleep teething kicking-and-screaming defiant food-throwing biting slapping hair-pulling horrors at the moment, and wishing I had more AIOs so I didn't have to stuff pockets when I could be collapsing in a shattered heap now and then... oooh but he'll grow out of it. PLEASE tell me he'll grow out of it!! Even the Dr today said he's a three-year-old trapped in a 9-month-old's body.
The procare PUL sounds great. Another reason I don't love the HH is the PUL is soooo sticky when you stuff the inserts in. I didn't even think about the PUL in the BPs being the reason for the wicking and leaking... but since the actual insert wasn't completely soaked the other day, I guess that's the problem. Makes sense now. Mind vomit...
As for the travel ideas.. well DP still insists I can't take MCN but I will be secretly packing a few quick-drying pockets in a travel vacuum bag. I tried explaining that it will save us money (v. important!) and also that DS screams every time I put a sposie on him and then tries to shred it. He wouldn't hear it, but I think he was visualising the huge bag I took last time on holidays. But it's early days, I may still talk him round. Most of the time we will be staying places with laundry facilities, and it's summer where we're going so we don't need to take much clothing. DS is using the potty for poos mostly, and gets very upset if he has to poo when we're out. When I get time I'll look into a more compact potty. There may even be one where we're staying or I can get one there. It's a weird prospect, going to Beirut to buy a potty, then going to Nice to buy a potty... Can't just have a normal family holiday, can I?? I was looking at the folding toilet seats too, thought that might be a good thing to get started on now and take that instead. Too much to think about now.
Right, have to go call sleep school.
nana...i am NOT listening to you.......you mentioned pot o gold!!!!! not nice :p
i folded/put away a mountain of nappies last night...was in heaven :D
WOJB~ boosted motorbike panda baby
Heya girls....
Not doing the hunt either this year, every time I've tried it does my head in and I give up! Is it worth registering for the discounts though? In the market for some new nappies.
Also Mel/Kitt3n - ready for those newborn nappies whenever you are, if you're still happy to pass them on. Had our 19 week scan last week which showed a happy, healthy bub (flavour unknown thanks to DH ) so I'm feeling ready to start getting things together now. Let me know if they're good to go and I'll PM my address etc.
Mazaroo - I had a nappy we nicknamed the 'red menace' because it turned everything pink. Still got the darn thing cause I can't pass it on to anyone or sell it. It's a dyed mandy mac. I do have a red baby kanga pocket which i've never had any issues with though.
Thinking about getting the new bub some medium d'lish - you guys remember how old your bubs were when they fit into mediums and how long they were in them? This WILL be our last baby (didn't I say that last time??!! LOL!) so don't want to buy a whole heap of smaller nappies. Going to get the boy a six pack too. Or maybe a 12 pack....hmmm - how many nappies do you think I'll need for an almost 2 year old? I generally wash every second day. Maybe I could get a 12 pack and get him 7 or 8 larges and the rest mediums....hmmm...
Then this is just for you kat

pLEASE EXPLAIN LITTLE LADY
i got me some fluffy mail today! woot! have a heap more coming, but i think it's being hand delivered by the fluff fairy!
DH loves the widdlewuns - esp seeing they've got the velcro ish close on them - he is very nervous of hurting our bub when using the snaps - he'll get over it though... he'll have no choice!
on the upside - the embroidered nappies have him suckered in - he'll get whatever i want (and then some) if i just say "look at this" - noice!!
he's even gotten up there with cleaning stuff - he's pre-washing itti's at the moment so that i can take it easy (been horribly sick today - think i have a bug)
bah! the elastic just went in a BumG! My first one. It's a v2, but still... grrrrr
