one weekend of not BB'ing and too many posts to catch up on!

last night laa slept in her "large" lotus night, i thought these would have been way too big but they are actually OK! (nothing like the mandy mac)......... i do have some more smaller nights on the way, so the lotus will get put aside but gigi i cnat thankyou enough for always talking about your lotus nights, I LOVE THEM!!!

grrrr news...... there are 2 auriels on B4B, bid on both of them but someone has already proxy bid over $45 EACH!!!!!!!!!!!!! (same person who tends to hyena most good stuff n there) must be made of cash......... when will I get my hunted auriel? There must be something to them if someone is willing to pay that much for them, a second which is now second hand?!!

Lea cute about Nixon cleaning up his accidents! The mottled minky ittis aren't d'lish. It's a technicality I know, but they are made differently with a hidden PUL layer and I *think* in Australia. Hard to get too.

Not comfortable, soft and fluffy at all. Dangerous too, they bite if you don't pat them regularly. You should all well and truly stay away from them for your own protection. Really. Lea I have 2 mottled dlish. They are sooo nice. It's just a mottled minky dlish, mine are orange and green. I haven't ever seen them for sale, and I got both mine second hand. Nixon will get there. That is very cute with the towel hehe Nappy fix... you want a bling :p

Kitten that sucks!! I have one fitted auriel (Holden one) and the Munch Crunch one is coming soon. Have you posted an ISO thread on NC? You never know hun ;) She did a stocking yesterday too!! I was waaaaaaaay to slow, they were gone in about 2 minutes and I didn't spot the hyena thread until about 4 hours later :rofl:. I haven't tried a lotus night. Might add it to my list of wants. Can't wait to hear back about the nappy!!

Well Ash usually never gets changed at night... except last night! 3 changes!!! He just weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed like here was no tomorrow!! I changed him into his sandman night nappy at 5am this morning and by 9 it was soaked again. Musta been holding it all in I think.

Cannot be arse trying to find an Auriel - I cannot justify paying that much for a nappy really. If I happen to get one one day great, if not, oh well! Not worth the hassle TBH. It i only a nappy.

The Auriels new were only $30 or something. I got my M&C 2nd hand for $20. I think if you ask in the right place you would have more luck then if you brought one off B4B.

I love them because of the fit. They fit Ash awesome. He is pretty chunky thighed and skinny waist.

had a great day yesterday with other nappy intuned vic chickies (and some others ;) )......... they got to have a touch and feel of a certain NN ;) and I got the have acuddle of some yummy NB's :dance:

Mateauz did 4 shiats yesterday...:o luckily I took enough nappies to cover 2 days cause he used them ALL!!!!! He exploded out of his IB boo and luckily the cover caught it.

hmmm covers.........I think :think: mateauz has 12 all large :o heehhehe there is always room for more

Thanks BG :hug: just makes me nervous buying stuff for bub this early. I know it's silly but I can't help it! But I did that last time with DS, was too scared to buy much before he was born and then found it hard to buy up when I stopped working so swore I'd be more organised this time!

Called DH and he said go for it so now I just need to decide which colours! Actually buying mostly larges for DS (so I can give a lot of his nappies to the new bub) and a few mediums for bub.

willow - i started buying nappies from about 6 months. If you dont, you will end up paying so much more - i took advantage of every sale, free postage offer etc that i could get - by doing that i reckon i saved at least 30% overall. go get em hun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a lou lu, the frilly red bum on, tooooo cute. just a bit big on her for now though.

mel - if i see any more lotus nights i will let you know, very happy with them. stoked actually.

Kitt3n -top 3 nappies - IB, SB OSFM, Bum G OSFM - the first 3 i bought and still the most , easiest to use and most economical. They are also the ones that fit Charlotte the best.
Not necessarily the prettiest, but they are effective :)

Hmmm top 3 nappies............well we only own a few brands of AIO/pockets atm, the rest are fitteds and covers. Id have to say the IB Dlish are the #1 fave in our house followed by their Sandmans/Maz covers. The BBHs do ok but havent really used them full time yet. Can I defer an answer til I get to cloth the newbie for awhile? :lol:

Hmmm, OK, I had them in the cart all ready to go but now I'm thinking...do i really want ALL IBs for DS? There's still a LOT of nappies out there that I haven't tried. The d'lish are a great fit on him, love the AIO factor etc etc but I used to love BumG's till I found IBs iykwim? Maybe I should check out some other brands and just get him a 6 pack instead....ooooh... I don't know what to do now.

I don't really like fitteds and covers so that wipes a lot of stuff out right?

Might go check out these loulou's...what else would you guys recommend having a look at?

I've got or tried:

BumG OSFM pockets - happy with these for ages till the microfibre stink factor set it, we've since resolved that, but now I've noticed the elastic going on a few
IB d'lish - sewn in and snap in, prefer sewn in
Berry Plush - loved these but crapola fit on DS, side snaps not for us
Baby Kanga pockets - these are OK and are still going strong but don't love em
BBH fitteds - great but again, not much for the fitteds
Peapods - actually found these OK on a small baby with frequent changes
Mandy Macs - again, fitteds...

I like the look of the Fitzalls and will probably grab two of those later at tax time or after bub is born.

I guess I'd like a few show off nappies, preferably AIOs cause we don't really have any.

OR...after all that, do you think the theory of sticking to what you know and love works best?

Missymoo...i have 4 of the cloth'd up fitteds..and don't mind them (as long as i boost them abit more) they are a nice snug fitted nappy :)

Willow where possible you can try second hand :) That's what I did. The ones I loved I stuck with though, like Itti. Plus the resale is damn good on those. I sold some on B4B and got $18 with buy it now. I know of a few AIO you should try...

Bubblebubs are GREAT! I had the one with snaps, sold it now but LOVED it. Not much for aplix but if you don't mind it then that is an option.
The minky magicalls are GREAT! I wasn't convinced because I didn't like the original ones, but the new pocket style is wonderful. We haven't had a leak yet and have used it for nights too :)

How come you don't like fitteds and covers?

Kat I have 2 of the large ones, they are just so bulky between Ashtons legs, but he is already some out on the snaps. Plus I have to boost heaps otherwise he out wets them in an hour or less :(

willow - i really really suggest you try a genessa forge. go to the custom section and you can pick what you want (which colour minkee, snaps, snap colour, everything........ apart from that they are just the bomb, such a nice fit......... they are just awesome). IF you get one, especially after you see it on, you will certainly go back for more......

Missymoo - that's another thing I should have said, trying to avoid aplix for DS cause he takes his nappies off if they've got aplix :wall: Have taken to putting Maz covers over his BumG's some days!

Also, I try to avoid sized nappies until bub is bigger. I just won't have the cash to be updating nappies as bub grows out of them.

Fitteds and covers - basically, i'm lazy! haha. The less washing and the less i have to put on during a nappy change the better. Also, I don't like the bulk.

OK, think I've decided to get the bulk pack of IBs for our work horse nappies and then I can always get one or two other nappies later on, and might get those second hand where I can. Forgot about that.

i haven't yet paid full price for any nappies (well, i have for maz covers, but that's different!) - i've just picked stuff up while it's on special

it's a good time to buy at the moment with the nappy hunt - lots of sites with discounts on. maybe scope out which ones offer discounts. i know the fitzalls are on spesh (and offer layby), ittis etc - look around and see what you can get cheap. i think Arimeh stocks bum g's and is having a special next week (and offers layby)...

i'm only 28weeks now and have a fairly decent stash - i started with the paranoia about getting stuff early - then DH told me to suck it up, time to be positive and he started buying - gave me no choice if i wanted any say on what we have!

A majority of our nappies for the big boys are Itti's Willow. You just cant go wrong with them imo, Jett rarely gets the snaps open and Ripley absolutely cant undo them, they are daddy-friendly, very easy to put together.

missymoo...Jacks out pees them in less than an hour aswell..and that is boosted..but i do like the fit on Jack...

i wish i had a never ending supply of money just for nappies....

Willow I am a fitted and cover girl TBH lol In summer no need for a cover. And I actually don't find them any bulkier then a AIO? I just put a pul cover over the top, or a pair of woolies instead of pants. I only own pul covers so far. Gonna try a maz cover one day :)

I hate pockets, and from what I gather a lot of OS are pockets. The only pockets I will tollerate are Beetlebums and Ecobubs, simply because they are a wonderful nappy.

Also you might find, as long as your bub isn't a HUGEMONGOUS boof like Ash, who will no doubt NEED the XL size, a lot of people get away with just getting 2 sizes in a lot of things, and some never need a large. Ones like WC that have s/m and m/l for example. The M/L will fit ash for a LONG time. He is on the smallest setting still and I never brought the s/m. He has been using them since he was a couple of months old.

But I am telling you, second hand hun lol SOOOO many nappies I snapped up at a bargain, especially on NC in the trading room where everything is $10 and under! If you don't mind 2nd hand that is :)
