teru - Charlotte has both large and med IBs...the Larges are JUST too large, so cross over is too tight, touching is not tight enough (would be perfect with one more set of snaps int he middle! lol)
The meds though are getting to short in the rise. Have been for a couple of months...but now to the point where I will be selling the meds in about a months I think and replacing them with larges.

Oh QUESTION - does anyone have a larger girthed bubba in a pop-in? How do they go? Charlotte is very skinny and narrow hipped, but they dont seem very wide....the tabs a VERY far apart, even on her...?
Alexis - are you using the night boosters with the pop-in? If so, how do you like them?
Oscar - I have used a night booster once so far and it worked really well. actually.
I use her BumGs over nights too sometimes to go under her normal PJ pants (cos they are trim and dont need an extra cover) and the Pop-Ins seem to work the same way, same bulk (or lack of lol) to them so go really well under her pjs when I am washing longies or whatever.
They are super soft though, I must say I am quite inpressed with them - they seem a nicer less bulky fit during the day on Charlotte - she is super skinny and looong.

Renstar I would go pop in over BG anyday. Much better quality and all natural. Ask Kitten about them she is a rep.
My BG elastic is almost worn and they've hardly been used had them maybe 2mths.
Ren - popin is also bamboo (more absorbant) and has double leg gussets :). Ill bring mine on monday if you wanna peak? The outside is oooh so soft and delicious :D I just wanna rub it LOL.

:yeahthat: Ren the only nappies that I have had problems with repeatedly are the BumGs, the elastic has died on 2, and they are not cheap. I have happy heiny's here that are the same ages as the BumGs and are in mint condition still.
The PopIns are bamboo, the BGs come in organics too. Im not sure which one I like better! lol I have older V2 BGs personally so they are pockets. The new BumGs are like the pop-ins, so no pocket.
DH hates snaps and loses inserts and things lol so he likes the BumGs best...Im undecided!

We went for a visit to a friend with mediums today and tried one on DS. They fit him quite good, and I figure if they don't fit him for THAT long I will save them for #2 whenever it decides to come along.
I forget what was recommended as narrow crotch MCN? I need some more, getting so peeved off with my BBH's.
in other nappy news - FINALLY got a response from IB in regards to my falling apart boosters. Being replaced so I'm grateful however it took 3 weeks to get a reply.

Also Ren- I brought the johnson ones from woolies for my flats... u can get away with a wash once then they have had it...what does everyone else use???
if i am using liners in Jacks nappies i just use the micro-polar fleece i bought and cut into liners and use those...wash them the same way i wash all his nappies/clothes...no need to sew them either...it doesn't fray :)

I love my starbumz, the PUL is extra-thick so it's near impossible to leak from them! And their inserts are oh-so-thirsty too.
I find GreenKids great all-rounders, generally I find pockets easier on a narrow-crotch-Pip than fitteds cause they can bunch a little, it just takes a little playing with the inserts - and hour-glass inserts seem to work better.

Sold off all of the disposables I had left (from the 127 I had to buy at babies galore) so we have no excuse not to toilet train - just mummy needs some incentive!
Flushable liners - the only ones I have used are imse vimse, you can wash them a number of times if they just have wee on them if you want to as well. You can find them at The nappy bucket (I think if sam stil sells them) and Nurture nappies used to as well, maybe try new age nappies??? I think I have a few bundles lying around here somewhere that have been opened as demos pm me if you want me to have a look for you and send them to try.
narrow crotch nappies - swaddlebees sized side snappers are the best, not as narrow as the itti's but nice, Ar's bum used to hang our of ittis, aurials are pretty narrow too,
I second the lushness of the pop-in haven't actually tried it on Ari but got to pat some at sams the other day - very noice
We love our Starbunz too, as you can see by my ticker, LOL. I have the pocket, but no inserts (forgot to order them, lol) and have used it as a cover over flats.

liners- the johnsons ones can go for 2-3washes if its only been peed on, then they thin out. they werent that good but i didnt know anything else back then. ive got the tot bots they r pretty soft. but honestly ive given up on using liners (flushable & fleece) as it isnt all that necessary esp since i rinse the soiled nappies anywyz!!

Lachlan has had a stint in hospital this week and now has a nasty red rash from the stick on wee bags used to collect urine..
Im sure i read somewhere not to use cloth nappies if i am going to use nappy rash cream is this right or can i use it as long as im usng a liner?
I need starbunz inserts too, do they have their own brand?
Tan - you can use the "normal" nappy rash creams, just use a huge liner or something to lessen the chance of it getting on the cloth. Either that or get some moogoo - thats all we use here. Great stuff.

RAY RAY and HEYGDLKG, Starbunz do make their own inserts, i would expect any website that sells the Starbunz, to also stock the pocket inserts also. i've seen that brand at DarlingsDownUnder, Ozbabytrends, so maybe try those?
Teru, GK is a PUL nappy, PUL is not the best for night nappies, i would just use it as a day nappy for dragon. Do you have dedicated night nappies for him? What kg is he up to?

When you hear stories about the elastic or velcro, ask the person, did you use a v2 or v3 BG? many of the probs of the v2 were rectified for the v3, plus the v3 has a 12 month warranty. i don't have any, i just remember reading about them.

Gigi - yeah the V2 are pockets, but the organic BumGs are snap ins like the pop-ins.
The normal OSFM v3 (ie non organic) is still a pocket. So BumG do both a pocket and a snap in one.
They are actually VERY similar cut and design...event the tabs on both are essentially the same shape lol The Pop In has organic bamboo snap ins, the BumG is organic cotton.
you should keep a secret stash Gigi so you can have your fix every now and then ;)
