I don't have the time to b constantly changing our sheets n washing them, its such a big effort esp when we have limited hanging space! at least u r 1 up on me having a mattress protector, ours has multiple milk patches now...

I've got a quick question, with the boosters for the GK's, do you put them in the pocket as well? Told you it was stupid, lol.

Can you prewash nappies with a dirty load of nappies or do you need to separate them?

Maz or any other nappy making experts - Prewashing the bamboo on hot caouple of times, how hot can I have the dryer? does it need to be low or can I have it on high so that there is maximum shrinkage before sewing so they dont curl?
I used a towel with the older 2 for spits, but I think I might use some flannelette or maybe buy some more bamboo and make a mat that sits nicely on the bed :thinking: will have to see what I can afford at tax time and how much she spills.
I practiced with the press on an old dead BumG, and I can do it when the press is on the floor and I am on the couch with no hassles!! and the prong seems to get flatter than some of the manufacturer snaps, so I think I will end up doing a few repairs on some of my nappies.
We have complete silence atm!! The girls are both sleeping after a horror few nights. I think we might get a decent few hours out of Em today and maybe manage to get a full night too. She got another tooth last night so has been a horror with screaming.

Amanda - yup all inserts go into the pocket :) So with mine, for daytime use, I put the microfibre on top of the bamboo, shove it in pocket with microfibre closest to bum. Then for nights, I chuck a bamboo booster in the insert, put microfibre on top of that and shove all in pocket.
Oh and I just chuck new nappies in with dirty ones. May as well get them used to floating around crappy water.. pmsl...

Well I've just realised this morning my MnM hasn't shown up yet and its nearly to weeks since it was kindly hyena'd for me. I hope it hasn't gone missing!!!

Well I have fixed a peapod and the IF so not they will fit perfectly and not have wing droop. Much better.
Now I need to start experimenting, which is exciting!! I have some old scrap fabric here to experimen with and once I have that right then I will get into the fun stuff!!

I didn't have a good experience with a bbh bamboo when Monsta was young so been put off by them. What is a narrow fitted which I won't b disappointed by as I'm considering using fitteds? I'm so clueless, Unexplored territory
try flannel fings on ozebaby, she has some lovely fitteds, quite narrow in the crotch & trim.

Haute Pockets - I had one, it was good while he was a small wetter but he quickly started wetting through. Also the PUL was very thin and I cut it a couple of times with my fingernails while stuffing.I'd go greenkids over HH or HP any day.
Fluffy mail! My custom mongie came yesterday, it seems very long in the crotch (as in, to make the crotch fit, it's up around his chest!) but OMG is gorgeous! Red minkee, with flame quilter's cotton cuffs, a firetruck embroidered in the lower left leg front and "future fireman" on the back right hip. Plus also got a beanie, am thinking if she'd do a matching one + scarf for me, it's brown fleck wool with a sheep on it. Plus there's a pair of pants waiting at the post office for me!

Kaz- u reminded me something abt the haute. the clear film of the pul has come away from the fabric in one of mine. Doesn't affect its job but just doesn't look good iykwim. The inserts r shaped for the haute only so I've trouble stuffing them sometimes cos the pul grips onto the microfibre n can't get the whole insert to fit inside the pocket without jamming it. But then again, I've my days...it could b just me!
I joined a bamboo co-op here and pretty much use only bamboo in my pockets, I don't like microfibre at all.
