I just made my first fitted pocket nappy thingy and it looks cool!! Ok you have to hold it at arms lenght and look through your lashes to miss all the horrible stitching. Me and auntie Elna (my sewing machine) does not yet see eye to eye
BUT
I can feel this is the begining of a GREAT relationship. I'm posting my pics tomorrow.

Actually, that is the name of the machine ... as in the make, but I love telling ppl that I have tea with autie Elna discussing all things sewing related (actually I sit there swearing because she won't allow me to set the tension) We can all have tea together, you, me, Elna and Martha
) into the nappy. It's going to take longer to dry, but I think it would look neater in the end. I also have to shorten the elastic around the thighs, those do not fit well enough to hold a poo-splosion me thinks. I have not used velcro or snaps, but are going to be using a snappy-thingy. I just feel like the velcro will eventually snag on everything in the wash and with the snappy you have more control on how tight you fit the nappy around the waist. Also I'm going to hit the shops for seriously thick toweling to make them, really hope I find some in an aray of colours. I used a flat terry nappy and the quality is not that good. It unravels a lot and it's not as thick as I would like it to be. And then the wrap *sigh* it's 3-6 months, but it's to big. So I'm going to buy a 0-3 months one at the discount store and see if it does not fit better. ATM I am still searching for a shop that sells PUL to see if I can make my own wraps. For that matter I'm still searching for a fabric shop that sells hemp, bamboo, microfibre or any other fabric that I so desperately want to try out

I can't FIND any store that sells online here and importing works out extreamly exxy. Not the product, but the actual cost of the postage. Like say the product cost 30$ AUS, the postage will work out about the same and that is TOOOO expensive for me. Then I can just buy the already made nappies here, but then again, they are also too expensive. I have however not started looking in the USA, but not very hopefull. Our exchange rate sucks balls. Currently I am buying the microfibre from the supermarket, I get 4 boosters out of one cloth.
