morning ladies
oh i truly appreciate my hubby but when I hear the stories you guys tell i just love him even more. he changes bums, puts nappies in the machine, cooks, cleans if i havent gotten round to it.... i truly have a gorgeous man.

HGL - you MIL sounds like an ignorant FW. Print out some info about cloth, the benefits etc and just hand it to her. If she still buggs you she obviously hasnt read it so you can just say "dont talk to me until you read the info!"
I am happy - now 2 nappies away from my perfect stash.... 2 more beetelbum ISO's and i will have the loveliest stash

maz - they are pushing through and are so bulgy - you can feel the edge of 2 but they just arent popping through - sitting there, taking their time, causing her much pain.

yes it was the eco bubs......do they need to be lanolised at all? what kind of inserts do they have eg bamboo or the other synthetic stuff? can someone disect on so to speak and give me a run down please

maz - yep we have matching ones. they really do work
ecobubs - no lanolising, they also have an inner layer of PUL. Microfleece inners, snaps are hidden (3 snaps on each side) - you can buy the microfibre insert or stuff with whatever you like. With current exchange rate you might be able to get them cheaper direct from NZ. the wool does pil a little but if you get the cream ones you cant notice it at all.
I have 2 smalls, 2 mediums and 4 larges put aside. so yes, i love them. the leg holes are a really nice fit.

Yep, Adams a good'un, he does lots around the house, though to be fair, we both work (we cant afford not to) and earn similar money (not bloody enough) so its kinda only fair i recon.

Seriously, he is doing my head in today. Was sitting on my lap and screaming out for a cuddle... cuddle... cuddddle.. and I'm like - Aricyn - I am cuddling you. You are as close as you can get to me without crawling up my ar$e!!!!! Arggghhh non stop whinging like that all morning is enough to make mumma go CRAZY.

I don't post much in here, still trying to get to know everyone...
But DH just enabled me so I got two of the IB seconds... I think I have just made up my stash of 24 nappies in a range of pockets, fitted, AI2's from a number of brands with extra covers, boosters and flats. RIGHT - now I just need a baby to put them on!
ecobubs sound good... mmmm do I need more???

i'm another one with a good hubby - he helps (more often than not just DOES) everything - this morning he has done washing, hung out some of bubba's clean clothes, cooked brekki, done dishes, and helped bath her. he's in the process now of putting the pram in the car so we can go out. gotta love him!

Melbel sent us the best thing ever!!!!!!! I gotta giv eher some big sloopy kisses when I see her next! Its a matress protector that goes from cot to bed...Im so impressed with it and VY loves it....now ive gotta put an order in for 2 more. friggen awesome!!!

Maz - I use a green kids bamboo insert in my ecobubs. Fits pretty good and I haven't had a leak or anything. I know that combo is guaranteed to last Mr Pi$$y pants at least 4 hours.

On aricyn? bout 2.5 - 3 hours if he hasn't had a HUGE drink.
He drinks like a camel these days - just drinks and drinks and drinks...
Hmmm maybe I should get him tested for diabetes..

My Eco with standard insert lasts about 2.5hrs on River.
Mel - its the age chickie. Jett and Ripley go through stages of drinking heaps and heaps, and then not asking for drinks for awhile, then drinking heaps again. Theyve always drunk more than the norm though, we always have sippy's full of water around the house so they can grab a drink when they need too.

Mild alarm bells are ringing for me.......smell his breath, is the a fruity but acidy smell kinda like nail polish remover but sweet? That would be a big clue. If his weight loss and drinking were due to diabetes you would expect normally this breath thing because the body is making toxic acids called ketones.....
He could just be at that age though where they drink like a fish but it wouldn't hurt to get him a finger ***** test just to be sure......
sorry if that alarms you.....just sharing my knowledge base for what it worth....

yeah he lost a kilo in the last month. he's down to 13.5 now. dunno bout his breath, DH never makes him clean his teeth so its always a bit stinky.. LOL
Oh and he likes plain things to eat.. plain bread, plain biscuits - its either plain or he'll ask for lollies all the time.

what you eat has zero to do with getting type 1 diabetes or not...it is an autoimmune disease......

Yeah I know that - I think I was more wondering because he goes from between craving sweet things to craving plain things that maybe that's an indicator of his BSL or something.
