oh yes I can't use wipes on Ashton. I must use cloth wipes otherwise he gets a red bottom. Also I found BBH fitted the BEST for getting rid of red bum, even now. If his bum is at all redish I pop them on him for the day and all clear! Haven't had to use any creams in months!
-
not sure what caused E's NR - we use cloth wipes, cloth nappies, no cleaning stuff in the bath or anything... ahh well, it's part of having a bubba i'm sure! mummy guilt is a killer though!
-
might be synthetic inners? Or might be something you are eating if your BF. One thing I can't have a lot of is oranges for some reason.
-
for the nappy rash I really love bottom balm. Awesome stuff! Before I worked out the BBH trick we used that and it lasts for AGES and you only need to put a tiny bit on and it works a treat :)

Morning Ladies!
I have returned from my first full cloth camping experience! SUCCESSFULLY!
Although I bet I won the "stinkiest nappy bucket" competition.
DS got a bit of an upset tummy and did runny poop in about 6 nappies in one day. I didn't have anywhere to rinse them and there were no chunkies to pop in the bush or toilet. So STINKY bucket!
Put them in the wash as soon as we returned home and it doesn't look like I have any stains - will go look again soon as it was dark.
There is too much to catch up on! Can someone give me a brief of the major happenings since Friday?
WOPB: Nothing. Preferred to go nappyless as he's had them on all weekend.
-
eeewwww @ stinky nappy bucket!!
Ashton wet through his WCDN last night! He NEVER wets through it, i've never had to use a cover before... and he soaked through... poor bub. Woke up mighty cranky cos he was wet. Wonder if it will be a perm thing or just one night...
WOHB: purple dlish.

we got FIVE dirty nappies over night! and she slept from 6-10, 11.30-4 and 6.30 til about 9. poor poppet! at least the NR is clearing up nicely.
Mel - we mostly have her in flats and covers at the moment cos it's too damn cold here to dry anything more plus, until the last few days, her little leggies have been to small for everything else and she just ended up with leg gape and i wasn't going there! so i don't think it's from the nappies themselves. it may be from something i've eaten though i can't pin point what. the only other thing is that she has a bit of a cold so not sure if she's processing the milk differently herself. at least the moo goo seems to be fixing it nicely
WOEB - another flat and maz cover - we're rather boring here!
-
bg - laa was the same until i started using silk liners - grab some and give it a go hun, worked wonders for laa's butt!
bummer about the sugar shots stocking being postponed.

And I have a line full of nappies!!! Wooohoooooo!!
WOJB....GK minky times Zebra.

The evasive Poo appeared this morning!! Maz cover only just contained it too, so no doubt it would have leaked from a sposie!! But so typical, she pooed in the few hours before the CHN came over so she has lost a little bit more weight. No more than 3 hours between feeds, day and night, and expressing after each feed. Really gotta fatten this baby up!! She is just over 2.5kg!! Not happy. Really dont want to end up back in hospital.
Kitt3n - Hope it shows soon!! My PO have forgotten to card me before so could it be at the PO?
WOLB: MAL AIO
WOE&SB: NFI, They all sleeping but I have to go wake Leah for a feed.
-
I know Marlene I do too! How good is the sun!!! I have nappies out too.
Kitt3n my mummy and me stuff took ages.. a few weeks. I thought it had gone missing to but it did eventually show up! fingers crossed.

Well
If YOU were a lilac sewn in D'Lish that had only been worn once - where would you go?
Man, I cannot find it anywhere and cannot figure out for the life of me where it could be - I checked all the areas (cupboard, Z's room, bucket, down the back of the washing machine, etc) - and then checked some random spots like the kids cupboards etc if they got swept up with other stuff. It is basically new and I cannot find it.
Only thing I can think of is that my daughter *helped* a couple of days ago and has put it in some logical-to-her spot. Usually she is very good, but mebbe she got distracted - she likes to pick out Z's next nappy and often helps put the wet ones in the bucket etc....
I am so confuddled.
WOZB - Pumpkin pop-in

PMSL @ Sami - yes those helpers sure are... helpful ;)
-
sami if you find it can you please ask it where laa's flongies are?
oh and that million dollars..... i know its hiding from me SOMEWHERE!!!

Congrats on your "stinkiest bucket" award, Cheeky Monkey.
How many days camping did you do? Was it camping with toilet facilities or camping where you supply EVERYTHING yourself (or go without).
i've read of people going camping where they wash the nappies on the road - literally! they fill an esky with nappies, water and detergent. Snap down the locks, drive along and the motion of driving on rough roads, is the agitation for the washing!
i've even seen photos of how people ingenously hang up nappies inside the fourwheel drive, so they dry as you drive along (inside the glass).
Amazing.
i think i would be the kind of camper (if we ever went camping - fat chance), who would save up the used nappies in teh bucket, and drive to nearest town with a laundrette, every three days. Or just stay somewhere with access to a washing machine e.g caravan park laundrette (is there such a thing?).
wotbb: imse vimse cloth trainers at childcare (knickers with insurance).
Alioops - weren't your first two girls petite? i don't want you putting pressure on yourself, to watch the scales constantly for Leah, maybe she's just a small build and nothing more sinister than that? Sounds like you have more than enough milk for her, i'm so glad for you.
My "helper" likes to POST things. We are currently missing her rainbow slippers, no doubt she has "posted" them where SHE thinks that slippers should be posted!!! I can't wait until she can talk more than "no eat" and "booby". then i could ASK her "where are your slippers?" and actually get an answer!

LOL at the moment my worst walk-about is the occassional sock.....but Im sure all that will change when Josh is a little older :)
I had another nappy win today :) Had a Cute Tooshie with BBH cover on and Josh fell asleep...really started to worry about what mess would be waiting for me.....but after three hours the nappy was fully soaked but NO leaks!!! Woohoo Im stoked!!!
Only problem.....is it wrong to celebrate the success of a new nappy by buying more nappies??? Hehehe it felt good tho  Just so excited to finally have a list starting of "what works" rather than "what leaks"
I think Im gonna have to put myself on a buying ban until I atleast try the rest of the ones I have here!! Oops!! I got a win notice from B4B yesterday and I totally forgot I even put a bid on anything! Hmmm on second thought I might ban myself after I get an Itti or two....really been wanting to try them!!
WOJB: yellow BumG
