Oh I did have a question actually, last night I soaked a horrible stained tee and it came up perfect this morning, I used the homebrand nappy san. Do you think it would be ok to soak some of the itti boosters in it to get rid of the panadol staining? Anyone tried? Should I try just one that way if it ****s itself it's only one to replace?

Mel - over time, the stains will wash out, although exposing the boosters to sunlight / frost will speed up the process. Even my clothes-dried boosters are losing their stains ...
But if you're desperate, make up a paste of napisan and put it only on the stained spots .. then remove the paste & wash seperately.

how much time Kaz? Cos some of these are stained from when Ashton was a couple of months old! And they are still there. His M boo which he hasn't used in months, at least 4 months, I have been washing and sunning reguarly is still as bad as it was before :( I want to sell some of them and they are just too stained for it to be worth it. It's weird that it's only the ittis that have stained.

You'll just have to try different times unfortunately. Also wondering then if spot-bleaching would be OK for them ...

Mel - ive got the same trouble hon....their really greyish looking...wonder if its due to the fabric swort IFYKWIM.....im hoping that wiht a bit of luck I might have enough side snappers to sell on our IB's...sick to death of plumbers butt. Its gonna be a sad sad day when they go :(

Have just scored another auriel :dance: happy face one as CK is doing random stockings AND I have taken the plunge.....look out maz has finally ordered a GF in rainbow minkee strips, side snapping and velour inner...I am so excite dthat I could pooh!!!!

Oh Maz that GF sounds devine!!!! I couldn't think of anything very creative when i orded my custom. I'll have to ask you for ideas next time.

We have had so much rain on and off lately my poor nappies have not had any outside time!!! They really need it.

My IBs arrived and Im not happy, they sent a snap in one instead of an all in one for one of them, the invoice says snap in one, but my order confirmation says all in one, which is indeed what I ordered.

I know they are seconds, but should I enquire about it?? - I dont like their snap in ones on Oscar becuase of leg gape issues, AIOs are a much better fit.

Ray - I would enquire about it. Especially if you won't get much use out of a snap-in-one. What size is it? Also, what were the mcn's you said had poor fit on Oscar?

Ray - shoot them an email, happened heaps of times to me and they always sent out a new one, plus a bag to put the others in.

Just a quick question to the girls of infinate knowledge of MCN's.

I'm need some more boosters/inserts/prefolds/flats and I have a question. I can buy extra branded boosters/inserts/prefolds/flats from all sorts of places or I have found an online store that sells bamboo double terry and bamboo hemp fabrics by the meter which I can make into boosers, flats and prefolds. By price they are about the same, fabric a bit cheeper. Would it be worth my while to get the fabric and make up my own things (I do like sewing) or would it just be easier (particularly with NB) to buy the branded things that you know are going to work without all the sewing?

Depends if you are good at sewing and you would be able to do it.. rofl.. I can't sew to save my life (put it this way - I can draw a line with a ruler on a piece of paper, get a pair of scissors and STILL not cut it straight)

I can sew - but better than that my MIL can sew and has an overlocker - and she likes to help... I guess I am just trying to make up my mind if I want to make the extra effort!

The resale value of MCNs is so high that they dont really cost that much. So when you figure in the cost of your fabric and time / effort, it is probably equal. I wouldn't bother with the extra effort myself, but then again I sew worse than Mel...

Ryatha - If sewing is a bit of a de-stress thing for you I would sew. Hand newborn over to DH after a feed and zone out for a while.

I found a new use for boosters. I folded them so I had 8 layers and used them as BP's overnight. They were almost soaked by morning!!

Ray - I would say something too. No use having something you can't use.

Thanks girls, I do like sewing, so it may be a good idea for distracting me these last few weeks. Yay - ordering on line again... I'm becoming such an addict.
