Love the swaddlebees sized AIO pockets too... Still getting DS into a medium, so that's cool. Weewuns had some end of range ones on sale a while back.
Gigi - Brioche... is.... yummy! It's a yeasted cake/bread thingy with lots of butter and egg yolks in it. You might have seen some little cake-ish things baked in a fluted tin a bit bigger than a muffin, with a ball of dough on the top - well, that's brioche! Sometimes in loaves as well. Or as we discovered at our local patisserie in Nice, swirled thru with custard and golden raisins. They did the most awesome chocolate almond croissants too... oh dear, pastry tangent... back on topic! Snap press might be useful for adjusting waists on too-big trackies?
Black tube of pawpaw ointment is nutraceuticals I think. Has beeswax in it, so I haven't tried it on NR yet. DS hasn't had NR for a while!

I feel like I am a legitimate member of this thread now that Grace is here! She is smaller than expected so we aren't able to use the OSFM nappies yet . So I'm hunt for small covers so we don't have to wash every day.

just a quick Q - what is the best thing to use on DD2's bottom as she has a bit of nappy rash?

WOGB - not sure DH changed her last (but it feels great to be able to say that)

Ryatha - E had a teeny bit of nappy rash - we used moo goo on it and it was gone over night. it's fine to use with mcn's... smells divine too - and when E is in a good mood after her bath (most of the time now!) i use the moo goo to give her a massage/moisturise her as well

i got fluff today but im sad...i received a GF AI2 and nappy knickers BUT it doesnt fit!!
im so sad have to sell it as it doesnt fit...the nappy knickers...well had to do some adjustments as the original snap positions werent really working.

as i dropped the bamboo fleece to Kat today, she help me with some nappy troubleshooting. She added extra snaps on the sandmans to hopefully stop the wing droop & added new snaps on the knickers so now they sit better

    waiting on my 2nd FB...

. . . they all go gloomp gloomp gloomp!

Maz - why are you sad about Nickolas turning 9? that's it's gone so fast? or wot? tell Auntie Gigi all aboot it.

Yeh, the weewuns is where i would go to look for sized, fitted swaddlebees too.

Ryatha, are you after covers to go over WHAT?
what size is Grace in kg?
If the covers are to go over prefolds, i would suggest covers with leg gussets (bummibrites, imsevimse, bambino mio, thirsties)
If the covers are to go over flats, i would suggest a small baby beehinds PUL

where are you postcode wise? in the east near city, is Rainbow Tree
south near city is Nature's Cradle at Goodwood, plus their Somerton Park store further south.

if that is a hike for you, for the cost of the petrol to get to those places, there are online websites that do flat postage rate (costs same as you spending the petrol, if the stores are far from you).

For nappy rash - nature's cradle has their own brand of Hemp healing balm, little jar, last forever, brilliant stuff. it's natural, won't stain your nappies either. i found it a great preventative, use a little when you see the first signs, we rarely had to keep using it.

Simmon's paw paw salve is good too, in yellow tube or tub (online or some chemists, some health food shops).

Rainbow tree has the black tube brand and also the Weleda one - both nonpetrochemcial based.

wotbb: yet another night gone to bed, having eaten ZILCH dinner, in her blueberry trainers, and woollen longies. i did not weaken when dh wanted to give her weetbix at 9pm. i feel like such a meanie. She is so determined NOT to have even ONE mouthful of dinner.

Thanks gigi off to looksie now ..... im crap at math too .. Dh is my calculator , i ring him when i need to work out %off or add something , hehe i am dumb

teru - i am after sized fitteds in SB as i love SB but can only seem to find the osfa version ....
i have a button on my computer keyboard that brings up a onscreen calculator (including translating a number into a different currency). that overcomes my maths!

the weewuns has (right now) swaddlebee fitteds SIZED and swaddlebee fitted pockets SIZED. (reduced too).

i used the fitted pockets, and really recommend them, found them easier to adjust the absorbency, by stuffing the pocket (compared to the purely fitted version of SB). Just like the Mandy Macs and the tots bots fluffle, it's a pocket that needs a COVER, a fitted pocket (made 100% of absorbent material.)

there are quite a few sized fitteds on the market to suit wide crotch, but not many to suit narrow crotch, so the Swaddlebees fill this gap, well. (sorry, that was a completely unintended pun, my bad).

(cannot get Justine Clarke songs out of my head, and we haven't played her cd for the last week! my brain is tuned to toddler music!!).

    hehe at the pun
i love justine clarke , we are goign to see her at the end of the month as playschool is on tour !!!woot!! Dh likes her too

looked at the wee wuns on the iphone last night i wanted to buy sooo many but dh and i were on our way to a business meeting so i had to hold back .. off to browse on a full screen now !!

they also have verybaby in side snap but it says for tall thin builds .... are they wide crotch?? should i get front snapping then ???

there is a huge possibility that we are moving very soon , and we are pretty much homeless untill we make our mind up ... now im packing it about the nappies , if we move in withe PIL it will be ok , but if we move into the house where our business is ... well im not sure where to hang my nappies
its basically an oversized office so im thinking a stack of prefolds and covers untill we move into a home .... where/what ever that will be

Well!!! I put DD in a sposie for bed last night due to her blistered babootsie so she'd stay as dry as possible on her skin, and I shall not be doing that again. This morning she had done an enormous pooplosion which had come out the side of the sposie and to make matters worse she'd somehow managed to kick open all the buttons at the bottom of her onesy and get it all over it as well. Now, I've never had THAT problem with the BBH's. Ech! I thought bubs were supposed to poop less with age . . now it's 4/5 times a day - must be because she's been eating and drinking like a horse.

Thanks everyone for advice about canesten - It's clotrimazole cream and it rubs in clear, I've used it for years on freaky recurring rash I get whenever I'm stressed and have noticed it seems to dissolve with water easily so is prob no worries to use without a liner for that reason - barrier creams do not cut it if the skin breaks. But if I use good zinc barrier cream over the top I will use the liners.
Everyone seems pretty enamoured with moogoo, is that just because it can be used without a liner and smells yummy or is there something about zinc cream that I don't know?

Charmalea - That's unfortunate about having to shift unexpectedly. Hope it's with the PIL if it's going to be that cramped for you - wouldn't catch me moving in with my MIL without someone cattle prodding me tho.

Maz - DD is 7 months and I sometimes cradle her in my arms and can't believe how big she's gotten already and dread the day she'll be off to school let alone 9 - it all happens too fast.

Lea - I hope the big decision and the move goes well hon. I'm with Sas - there's no way in hell I'd move in with my in-laws. NOT EVEN if you were caddle prodding me! There's no torture worse than living with them. But yours are probably much better rofl

Sas - I don't know what's wrong with zinc creams. I used them right up until I started MCN but yes I'm a moogoo convert now. I use it on more than just bums though we use it to moisturise and all.

Gigi - Stay strong woman. Bilby will eventually cave-in before you do. How are her nights going, dry? I remember you saying a while ago she was going through a bit of a nappy/wetting stage again.

Maz - Each birthday is a tear jerker isn't it, to know they're not babies any more. Well Nikolaus hasn't been one for a while, but he will always be YOUR baby hon. Don't forget that.

To all the ladies that got ecobubs - JEALOUS! I'm not allowed to buy

Well DS wet his night nappy last night so we aren't out of nappies all together yet. Gigi - what did you do to night train Bilby? He's still perfect during the day and will tell me when he needs to go.

lea- hope something works out with your housing situation. I would hate to live with the ILs too, but we kinda have the ideal situation atm. we live in the ILs house but they r interstate most times on their farm. so they only ever come back for short stays. Any longer I would lose it esp when i cant communicate with them (they dont speak english!)

nappy-wise: what is Gab's build like? im guessing she's skinny & long...anyhow VB r narrow crotch. i'd second Gigi on SB fitted pockets. they dry faster than other fitteds. Ive also found cute tooshies to dry pretty quick too, their sizing is pretty generous though...what r your choices which you are tossed between atm?

i think ive got my stash to a happy size: 40+2. im gonna try stick to looking but not buying. besides i should b making nappies soon-ish so yeah just so i know, whats a good size for 2 in cloth?

fluff- im not religiously practising EC on monsta, i do try when i can b bothered. But the main reason i got the nappy knickers is because there are times when he wouldnt stay still long enough for me to do up his nappy so figured id give the knickers a try. its much easier to put them than nappies when he's standing...now i just gotta figure out my version
