Liz I have 4 nappies for Leah and 2-3 for Em (usually she uses her own backpack though), Cloth wipes, Foamy wipes solution, changemat, clothes for Me and Leah (Either for BB leaks or pooplosions) a sling, BPs (I need a fair few pairs), nibblies, water, wetbag, spew rags, a plug (when I am out and those up the back poos... well you need a plug to use the sink to bath the baby), a muslin wrap, tissues and bandaids. I use all the pockets so it all fits - only just.

teruteru Lotus nappies, LOVE them, as soon as I have some $ in my bank ill be spamming the forums to get some more in a large. Ashton had a M but he grew out of it :( They are so nice and trim and absorbant. On the cloth pads, let me know if you want a guinea pig :D

PrincessXanthe sorry to hear your anniversary didn't go so well. Sometimes males are clueless :wall: Love love love our GF super night here too! Ash can wear it for 13 hours without a problem!
Maz holy hell how did I miss that? Congrats!! And I think the woolies your thinking of are the Kozy ones? We have a dino soaker here which I brought for $10 months and months and months ago, LOVE it!
leckert in our nappy bag we carry,
2 changes of clothes including singlets and socks,
a spare pair of babylegs or HL.
a wet bag that can hold up to 4 nappies or more,
around 4 nappies for a 5 hour trip, up to 8 for the day, better to be safe than sorry.
Around 10-15 wipes. We use face washers.
Baby carrier
Change mat
bonjella and panadol
and some toys
a couple of bibs
a spare pair of breastpads

Ohmy goodness - I am shocking this time around and lucky if I remember to take a spare change of clothes for Z - the other day I went for a walk, had a tub of yoghurt and a container on the bench all ready to go - forgot it of course, so ducked into the supermarket and bought a banana - I still have some disposables in their I have forgotten about - which I am sure are far too small for him now :redface::redface::redface:
Fluff news - I bought 4 Itti D'lish in L off Nappychic yesterday ;) brand new - i think z will still be in a M for another couple of weeks, but now I will have them ready to go - oh and a L ecobub too ....
waiting and stalking to see when new Eco bub comes out ....
Speaking of ecobubs...i am waiting for stock of the new cookies n cream one to come out :) i also want a navy/cream striped one....awww heck i ant 'em all!!!!!

Em did the grossest poo in her ecobubs today thick and green ...blah!! Not normal at all. She is nearly fully FF now as I have given up full time expressing. A little sad but feels good I was able to do it for so long! Not looking forward to those formula poos in our pretty nappies!!

Ali - Leah sounds like what bilby was like as a nb, pooping like it's an Olympic sport! i was changing her before and after every feed (she fed every two hours around the clock).

for the nappy bag (i am guessing, for a nb?):
this is what i had in there:
= baby beehinds wetbag (made to last, excellent quality, but no funky patterns)
= bottle of hand sanitiser for the times you have to change bubs when there is no tap e.g on the grass, on the beach, when you are far away from a toilet/parent's room etc. Hands First is a good brand, it contains no alcohol (which really dries out my hands, to the point of cracks that bleed).
= for a morning out, or going to a GP appointment for e.g four nappy combos e.g for us, that meant a prefold, folded up into a nb sized cover with leg gussets, microfleece liner laid inside - well, four of those setups. You will get to know, how often your bub needs changing, and pack accordingly. i liked to overpack, just in case.
= pack of Nature babycare sposie wipes (a brand sold at woollies that DOESN"T have propylene glycol in it)
= a spit rag e.g flat nappy
= a wrap (she was a summer nb so that was often used to create shade)
= bottle of gripe water and medical dropper (the silver bullet for bilby)
= spare breastpads for me (leaked like a sieve until bilby was 8 months old)
= tissues, chapstick, emergency $10 note, my purse, sunnies
= spare set of clothing for bilby
= pamphlet about mcn, to give to any interested parents that saw me changing bilby in parent's rooms, and asked me what we used.
and in the car, a 2nd nappy bag, for the times that i ran out of nappies, e.g we stayed out longer than i had expected. That one had a spare t-shirt for me, in case i needed that.

to deal with used cloth pads, you just soak them in a container of cold water. You change the water once a day. I wash three days worth in one wash cycle, wash them the same way i wash MCN. My faves are the Noonee Wilga customs, you get to choose so many aspects. (how many layers, which fabrics, lengths etc).
Marlene, my friend has the Fluffybubs Dreams and she is mighty impressed with them too.

toilet training is a really emotive topic. i hope that my posting about bilby's tt-ing the last few months, hasn't come across the wrong way. i tried to do what suited bilby at the time, not saying every bub should TT the same time or way that bilby did. Most of the time, i am just shocked she can do this (when there are so many OTHER things, that kids her age do, and she cannot - like the talking, like dressing herself, like eating like a much younger child). She has a speech delay, i am told. and due to that, i couldn't rely on her TELLING me she wanted to go potty, she gave me other cues. So much of her communication is done thru mime, it's very effective but of course, i would prefer to hear her speak.

- we have at least four nappies when we go out - "out" is usually at least a 60k round trip, at least a few hours out - and i'd rather have too many with this pooping machine! i also have a stash in the car just in case. last week i went out to MCHN and lunch with mum and should have been home within 3 hours, but E decided it was nap time at Granma's and i won't wake her just to drive home so an extra 3 hours later we finally got home. she is a bubba that gets changed a lot (like Gigi mentioned with Bilby) cos she just poops so much! lotsa little poops instead of a few big ones every couple of changes.
ummm - wipes, wetbag, at least two full changes of clothes (inc singlet, mittens and socks), spare blanket, bibs (chucky bub), baby record book in side pocket, swaddling wrap, puke rags, dummy, hand sanitiser, bottle of water for me
not a lot of nappy chatter. am in love with WW nappies - the smalls are the only MCN's that fit her properly with absolutely no leg gape - IB's aren't tooooo bad, but not as good. otherwise we're in flats/fitteds with a cover. have been flashing her WW clad butt all over the place!

Well DS's "Pop-Pop" arrives today. For those of you that don't speak his language - that's his Poppy/Grandfather/Grandad lol He's very excited because he LURRRRRRRRRRRVES his Pop-Pop.
Glad Anna and Ali had a good night last night. Wish I could have been there! Probably could have come after putting DS to bed, but that wasn't until 10pm because he was having too much fun playing with Grandma lol

Well I have decided now that these chicken legs and butt of Leah's are starting to get some rolls on them, I am using cloth and DH is using the last of the sposies. She has just fallen asleep though so I need to put her down.

I think I have missed the last 2 threads - I am soooo out of the loop, I feel like an intruder now.
Have decided that Elly's pretty nappies are the one constant I can go to on this forum - even when she's rejecting my boobs for the bottle mostly these days, I am so sick of exercising to shift these damn pregnancy kilo's, and am starting to question whether AF will even come back to start TTC #2 towards end of year - there's always nappies!!!
Am really regretting not asking you ladies for the details of the nappy selling places you get stuff from are. Decided to sell my new surplus IV covers on Ebay - because had to do Something will them, and had to relist all 3 of them as nada the first time, and one just sold for only $5, which is not too bad but they're $20 covers, I was hoping for more like $10 . . am now really nervous that the other 2 might only sell for $1. Eeek, ah well.
Does anyone know how long you leave a wool nappy cover to soak in lanolising water??

Sas - I'm not sure if it's too late to pull out of ebay or not but the sites you are after are buy for baby and nappychic. Google them hon. Also for the cover, I'd say half hour is long enough - some do it overnight I believe but I've never done it more than half hour.
Anna - I'm having trouble figuring out why XDP got the sleep in instead when it's YOUR birthday? I'm starting to think maybe these are reasons he's now an X...?
Well I've just been told by DF that I'm not allowed to buy any more nappies until after our honeymoon.

DS doesn't need them any more so each time you feel like buying a nappy - put the $30 into the savings account for honeymoon spending money
