good morning Mel :D miss clothie bum!!!!
who was saying lou lous take forever to dry??? damn right they do!!!!! so do sandmans...they take forever and a day!!!
Lea - i am selling 7 x Medium Ittis - 5 snap 2 sewn-in (1 x extra set of snapins) - someone is getting back to me in a few days as to whether she is going to take them, if not, do you want me to let you know and I can send you some pics if you like?? Just PM me if you are interested :)
My CT's have never seemed to fit Z well - they are the two I have put in for the clothie swap - see what happens :)
CM - Here's hoping the Doc gives you some better news
Ezy - I didn't know they'd changed CT's - is that a recent thing? How? I find them one of my more temperamental nappies too, I LOVE them, I occasionally get wicking/leaking around the legs even when no gape, or up the back/front, and yet other times she can have a nap and be in one for 3 hours no worries. I think I've isolated the main problem for us though - - if DD does a poo and THEN wees it doesn't soak in it leaks wherever the nearest escape is. It's strange as don't have that problem with other nappies. But I love the CT's too much to hold it against them ;)
I have one PUL Magicall which I love because it is smooth under clothes and easiest to put on due to aplix for DH - but yeah, it takes a while to dry, I don't think it's much longer, but I usually judge when to take all the nappies off the line by feeling inside the magicall's pocket and if it's dry everything must be.
Maaaaaannnnnn - I want an itti, even just one - all this talk about them all the time and I have nooo idea what they are like. I SHOULD just go on one of the aforementioned 2nd hand sites but TBH I am a bit hesitant as how do I know they aren't coming from a scrug home where everyone has hepatitis KWIM? I know, I have problems.
PMSL @ hepatitis... never heard that excuse for not buying second hand nappies.. ROFL
Ahhh thanks for the laugh :D
Sas - thanks hon. Maybe you should join in the great nappy swap thread and ask for itti's in return?
cm -******HUGS****** i hope you get some answers
sas - sometimes people sell brand new things too - as i did recently, twas a bunch of brand new ittis
i found magicalls took forever to dry too
well over the last few days i have noticed the nappy bucket stinks!!! time to drop in some tea tree its grosse! i wonder if its solids making the difference?
who was after narrow crotch? try swaddlebees, ittis, sugarshots, abby gros, dragonflymagik, widdlewuns are pretty trim too, genessa forge (ie my stash lol!!)
wohb - dfm (lagoon i think??)
I'm lazy. I dont want to have to turn nappies inside out to get them dry. and then the sun cant get to any stains.
watching itng, the tombleyboos need cloth nappies to keep their pants up. I hate them always loosing their pants. and the pinky ponk must be called that because it farts so much. Maz I think it might beat you :nahnah:
WOEB: old style denim ct couture
WOLB: booroi prefold and boy blue mal cover.
I fink maz must be busy. I PMed her about the swap and havent heard back.
Still doing sposies overnight BUT we have established that cloth wasnt the reason he has decided to start waking 5-10 times a night, ohhhh nononono, it couldnt be that easy, its not the cloth
Big sigh, my little angel has turned.............
Bought some BLs off mel too, yay for the postie nxt week.
Sooo, maybe I should put my WC NN up for the swap, would that be enough?ie $25 worth. It has never been used overnight(wasnt washed enough) maybe just 2 or 3 day uses, hardly any use at all, we got a little wing droop. do you recon that would be enough? Have others too....
WOLB white 10 buck discount cheeky thingy from baby expo.
I didn't know we had to have a preference for the swap , I just listed what I had and didn't really ask for anything :wall: derr
Has anyone got any of the new Huggalugs legruffles???They look awesome!!! I think they are jsut for girls tho. Not that I need anymore legwarmers (well Emily) We have 17 pairs! I will ahve to get some of theses new ruffles one s tho! Maybe the cream ones for Em to wear at her birthday!
The new CTs apparently have stretchier tabs and I remember Shell at the expo saying something else had changed but can't remember exactly what maybe slightly bigger???? I dunno though it just seems a totally different fit.
ezy - yes yes yes they looookkk sooooo niiiiiiice get some and tell me if i should get some too LOL!! hey at that many pairs you may awell make it an even dozen ? lol (i have 19 i cant talk)
wohb - another DFM
Ok I'm going to get some!!!! :) I can't jsut get cream tho I'll have to get pink too! And can;t jsut get te pale pink I'll have to get the dark pink. That will bring me up to 20 pairs!!! Don't tell DH!!!
UMAHHH You girls are naughty
Thread killer - I am I am.
I got a lovely package today of size NB/Small pre-loved nappies. I thought DF was going to divorce me before we even got married because he told me in no uncertain terms NO MORE NAPPIES. Well when it arrived he started to go off at me, until I pulled them out of the bag. Then came the "oh damnit, it's so hard to be angry at you when you buy such cute tiny little ones" ROFL
So as long as I buy cute tiny little ones he's happy - but I don't need any more now. Damn!
I love those leg ruffles! They are super cute :)
Whoever was worried about second hand nappies? I am pretty sure you wont get Hep from them :s lol Most of my stash has been second, third, forth hand nappies lol
Well my second hand WC's arrived today and they are soooo cool! I have a nice collection of these, love the fit...
SO if anyone has any they don't use and want to get rid of them PM me ;)
Well last night I had a couple of drinks... which led to a couple more... I was having a selfish moment :( Ashton is almost 11 months so I gave him a small bottle (100ml) of cows milk cos I was scared to feed him and there were no shops open for formula... BIG mistake! Today his butt is SO red, and his poos are SO gross :(:( I feel terrible! Worst bit... I can't even get him any bottom balm or nappy rash cream because I am broke till Wednesday! I put moisturiser on him (gaia) and he screamed the house down so that just had me bawling cos I made him hurt even more... Been trying to change him every 30 minutes to 1 hour to keep it as dry as possible. It's been so cold here today otherwise I would have had him in no nappy. Has this happened to anyone else?? I feel terrible. Any thing else you think I can do?? I really wish I hadn't of leant out my last $50 now :(:( ARGH!
WOHB: BBB and 2 pairs of BL, yes it's chilly.
monkey doodlez and greenkids - what sort of crotch width are we talking - wide/avg/narrow?
I have on MD that I never used for DS1 and 3 GKs that are still in prewash but looing at getting more cos they're purdy ;)
rayray- GKs are pretty wide. i loved them as they were pretty but have since sold them as they were just too wide :(
eta- i couldnt get GFs to fit on monsta...mebbe i should try her SS and see whether i have better luck!
cm - awww - that is so cute that hubby couldnt get angry! babydust to you hun, i hope you get to use them sooner rather than later i truly do
well miss laa's night nappy smells like she has been rolling round in hay lately eeeww!
thats about it, have a lovely day everyone!
wohb - still asleep so still in her MALnn and MAL cover (need to wash the wool still havent gotten round to it!)
Kitt3n - Thank-you. Hopefully babydust is all I need. I'm having to wait until next week to go to the DR's about my possible endo/TTC problems. My mum is still here until then and she doesn't know we've been TTC - I'd like to keep it that way. Just don't like the pressure KWIM?
**TMI ALERT** Very sick today. Been vomiting all night. Had about 3hrs sleep which wasn't even one continuous nap. Poor DF, had to clean it all up as I only made it to the bath not the loo. Tried to have some strawberries for breakfast and they're just about to come back up to visit.
 CM. You can use me as a 'gift' giver ;). hope you feel better!!
Fluffy Mail!!! my wetbag!! it is huge!!
must be off, 6 week checkup at the hospital
WOLB: minky magicall
nappy rash is better today so don't worry about answering any questions I asked :)
CM ~ hun i had endo and i think after it being lasered out many years ago it has come back :(
hmmm nappy related... got a heap to wash..i folded a mountain last night and re-filled the drawer...so plenty of nappies in stock ready for use :)
CM I hope if they do find something it can be treated and you can have another bubba soon!!
Fluffy bubs is having a stocking on Sunday night. Ooo there is some pretty ones!!! And she is selling some nice minky if anyone is that way inclined to make their own.
Not really nappy related but kind of. A friend of my cousin's makes her clothes and toys and all sorts of things and today I recived the most gorgeous reversible pinny!! Its so pretty both sides are gorgeous here is the link from facebook for one side Login | Facebook . click a few pics along for the other. It might be the new birthday outfit if I can find a nappy for it!! Do you ladies think the vanilla cream hugaluggs leg ruffles will match?
She has also made the cutest monkey too for Emily!! I can't wait to get it!! Login | Facebook
Hi ladies
Thanks for your comments Kitt3n and Ezy, I really do hope you're right. DF thinks I'm UTD now because of my vomiting. If only :(
Ezy that dress is adorable hon.I think the leg ruffles will look fantastic. I'm sure you have plenty of nappies to suit too!
Where is miss Maz atm? Must be busy sewing!
ETA: Yes still vomiting. This time I didn't make it to the toilet or the bath - just the bedroom floor and any surface near it.
CM - that sounds naaasty. Feel better soon. (Put a bucket next to your bed with a towell underneath it so you don't have to dash for the loo if sudden vomiting urge comes over you - you don't want to pass out by jumping up trying to make the mad dash)
Well, have just been sorting DD's 00 stuff into the outgrown plastic storage boxes - mainly because of her giant fluffy bottom being waaay too tight on her one-sies and pants  Is it just me or is there a massive size difference between sizes.
WOEB: BBH & Cover
AWWW CM. sux to be you at the moment:hug:
Sux a bit to be me too.:boohoo:
Lil manhas been getting worse at night, last nite was up 8 times between 12-5. Crying in his sleep :(
I think he might be teething, but I cant see any white bumps, just tons of drool and fist chewing with occasional red cheeks. Oh, and sometimes squirty bum:sick:
How long does this last for?
Nappy wise, Yay for the postie.
Got my Arimehs loot.
2 eco bubs. 1 pop in, 1 bubble bubs and 3 babylegs. Yay
Ordered lil man his teething necklace. My bracelet isnt knotted every stone so didnt want him wearing it, besides, doubled over its a bit tight anyway.
6 weeks Ali, how fast
Hope Ashtons bum continues to improve Mel
WOLB soon to be eco bubs, never tried a side snap
Need some ways of convincing dh to go cloth, dd been in sposies again as he wanted to see if going back a size would help, so she has gone threw 4 nappies since 8 this morning and a change of clothes due to leakage. He thinks it will cost to much as she is 12 months already.
I have just put her into a minkie magical for her nap, that a friend lent me.
WORB bbh minke magical
sweetpea have you explained that it's about more than just $$$??
hmmmmm, could you try buying second-hand nappies as that will be cheaper if that is his worry. So it might be a way of convincing him?? Seconds don't float with my DH tho, he gave me this appalled look when I broached seconds 'someone else has pooed in that, why would anyone buy that!'! (now you see what feeds my hepatitis fears) Or could you mention that you will be able to onsell them so will recoup some of the costs! AND some are so pretty that you won't want to put pants on bub in summer so you might not by as many clothes?? ;)
he doesn't mind the seconds idea, his major thing is the extra washing etc as with up to 7 kids in the house at anyone time i already do heaps. But i am looking at the fact that i am washing at least an extra load with her wetting threw.
I am trying to look at a cost analysis to show him.
WORB still minkie magical, sleeping still
Tell him you have a deadline of this Sunday to get a good deal on some Itti's .... ;)
SamiH, I was going to do that but say monday as he is at work tonight and tomorrow night till midnight. I have actually found I don't mind minkie magicals with snaps as long as you turn them inside out after while of drying
I spoke to a person at itti bitti and she reckons that mediums would be best bet since she is wearing smalls at the moment.
I was playing around with the sizes - and the large fits DD with two vacant snaps in the middle (she wasnt happy about trying it on LOL) - so I think the mediums would last you until R is TT!
Monday is fine - finished the last of my strip washing today with the sun YAY.
I know I have said it before, but Z always poo's in my Ecobubs!! One was on for about 15 mins today and i was about to scoot out the door for school pcikup - he started crying - big one to try and clean in one minute LOL - but achieved :)
Had to buy another wetbag today, thank goodness that Clothie Bumz is having a sale ;) , I forgot with Z starting child care 2 days I will need another one in case he does poo in the morning and it is left in there all day - phooey I am sure that would stink when I got it home!
CHeeKy Monkey - sorry you are feeling so rubbish hon, hope you get better soonish.
SamiH - i started bilby at childcare (in mcn) at 16 months old. the centre requested flushable liners, and i supplied those. So at poo nappy change time, they lifted out the flushable liner and flushed it, so very little poo came home in the wetbag.
at the 2nd childcare centre we used, they had to be "reminded" alot of what flushable liners LOOKED like, and that YES, flushable liners can be flushed! but i persisted and they did it.
Even if your child has PASTEY poo (as opposed to firm poos), the flushable liners still work. it's when the poop is 100% runny that the flushable liners aren't worth using.
childcare workers wear gloves regardless of what type of nappy they are changing, so it's no diff to them.
my fave brands of flushable liners were bummis and tots bots. some other brands i tried previously, well the word "sandpaper" comes to mind, and they scrunched up heaps (so didn't work well, moved around too much when child walked).
wotbb: blueberry trainers with longies, she is completely in knickers in the daytime now. sniff. my big grown up bilby (well, in SOME ways).
Well bub been in cloth since yesterday, going to talk to dh today about doing it for real and buying some, she did leak a bit out of her night nappy, but thats is becuase the cover is to small.
WORB itti bitti
Morning Ladies
Nothing to report here. Feeling a little better this morning after a good sleep but don't want to speak too soon.
I started my nappy strip-washing so I could pack them away - then got sick and forgot they were in the washing machine. So they stank it up :( SOOOOOOOO I had to put them on again and now they're on the line drying. Still about 3 loads to go. That's only my larges too.
well trying to convince dh is getting there though earlier did not help, had dd in an itti bitti but the ones I have 3 are missing the try fold so it leaked when she was asleep.
But I have compromised at the moment getting some mediums thanks to a BB girl and will try those before I buy any more.
Though this afternoon I bossted one with a bbh insert and it worked. Now she is down for another sleep in a small itti bitti with a trifold so hoping that works to.
WORB blue itti bitti.
