Raven cool, he doesn't usually but he's just cut 2 teeth so that could be why. He's also got a very red bottom today, trying the gaia cream on it and hoping it goes away since I have no nappy rash cream here :( Ran outta bottom balm!
:hello:
Back in the land of not working 16hrs a day
Hmmmm, lots of ponky pee-ers here.
Dunno what to think of that, he is still in sposies at night, I bloody hate em, but i hate the smell more.
Not much interesting happening here.

NaNa - do you have piccies from your trip? I wanna seeeeeee!
Shell - stop working so damn hard, enjoy your little man for a bit longer!
Am I going loopy or have Kazbah and Kitt3n been a little MIA lately? Maybe I'm missing posts? COME OUT COME OUT WHEREVER YOU AREEEEEEEE.
Umm that's all.
Oh and half hour or so ago DS fell on the lounge and smashed the bridge of his nose. Looked broken as it swelled up instantly. Was so sore looking. Frozen peas to the rescue and the swelling went down really fast but he now has a big red nose and a headache to boot.
aaaarrrrggg... I had written a big long post and lost it! Should have copied it before hitting post...
But I was going to say thanks for the suggestions about nn - she has worn a bbh fitted and cover the last two nights and that worked well. just need to get a soaker now. she looks so cute with her big bottom!
also is it ok to use bi carb soda swith the nappies?
CM - hope DS's nose feels better...
YEAH RIGHT! how many times have i read that hun? pmsl.
CM - you make me feel loved! Just trying to get stuff done really and get my fat a$$ odd the pc and walking. have a wedding to go to in 6 weeks and wanna look a bit hot :p:p and no DO NOT LEND OUT YOUR GOOD STASH! there is no way i would lend out my good stuff, some things i have lent but wasnt really fussed on them KWIM?
talk of night nappies and when to start - laa was in BBH for ages, and then all of a sudden (around 2 months) she just NEEDED a night nappy. We co-sleep and she just rolls over to have a feed, so once she stopped pooing overnight we just stayed in bed and eventually she needed night nappy (and it really was all of a sudden that bbh or jamtots fitted were not enough). So just go with the flow.
GF's ahhhhhh GF's. Such awesome awesome nappies. I have 6 medium and 6 large waiting (I really hope she still fits in the mediums over summer cos i really want to watch her walk aroun in them!). My fave GF is my custom with stripes of huckleberry and baby pink minkee, with butterflies all over it (even the wings) and it has her name embroidered on too. havent tried the nights, i am happy with sandman, lotus, and MAL.
I love the idea of the swap - unfortunately I know exactly what i am after and i really dont think anyone would swap them LOL! (sugar shots ai2/3's and one more beetlebum inside out)
wohb - wet lotus night/loveybums wool cover, off to change it!
it's here, it's here, it's HERE!!!!
and Maz, it's just divine!!!
missy - ya, I know... but I'm more into GFC mode at the moment, so no more GF! >>global financial crisis<< sucks!
CM - pics on facebook. A couple on maz-a-licious FB page too. Find the pot of gold like in my ticker, and add me!
ryatha - don't rush to get a soaker or longies until DD is sleeping long stretches. Bubbies grow so fast, and it's a shame to have them grow out of gorgeous woolies before getting to wear them much! JMO.
WOAB: zebra blueberry, rainbow babylegs and ugg boots. Tragic...
Oscar wet thru another ecobub. small are way to small so I tried medium but the leg fit is still not good. However I think he might grow in to this one, we'll wait a few weeks and try again.
BBBH fitted and a disana cover seemed to do the trick.
Do I need to wash/lanolise a wool cover after each use? I remember reading people can use them a few times before washing/lamolising?
Kitt3n - does she have the penguin or did you provide it? ;)
WOOB: black GF minkee AI2
ray - i sent her the link you set me up with! she shoudl still have it :)
i just put our bizybee shimmer nappy on her and.... there is bum crack :'( nooooooooo
BLAHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
having one of those days :(
BG - thank god!!!!! im so glad you like it hon
who was after cheap NN again? there are 4 on Buyforbay at $5 each :o and one of my NN for $38....SHIAT
will be back when sanity has returned to my head
Thanks Maz for the sizing - unfortunately I have NO idea what Elly's measurements are, and I don't like my chances of getting her to stop wiggling to let me get accurate ones (is challenging enough to change nappy without her rolling all over her poo ) What about weights??
DD is about 7.5kg at 7.5 months (ie-she's pretty much a thinnish average, not chunky thighs or tummy or anything.
Kitt3n what weight/type is your bub as about the same age? How much room left in the medium GF's you've got since they fit now? I am only used to buying nappies off weight, so am at a total loss.
Also, I am keen to try a side snap, but have heard they are particularly good for chunky thighed kids - does that mean I might be better going for a front snap for fit on a thinner bub??
I'm impressed at the non-weeing/pooing night babies!! Mine is not a heavy wetter, but I am usually STILL greeted with a sticky mass in the mornings still - wonder how long it's been in there. Ech.
Just a thought, I use a MAL cover on everything that has leg gape (including AIOs) for Leah and we havent had any leaks onto her clothes with MAL. Would it be worth using a cover for what doesnt quite seal?
Well Leah is ready for a NN already. She is 3.93kg now and the cot sheets were wet this morning. She doesn't usually poo at night and we cosleep so we dont get out of bed unless we absolutely have to. DH has put our Medium MAL NN on her a couple of times. She is growing into it nicely (Maz hun I LOVE the amount of elastic in the legs, no gape even with chicken legs!!) but we dont have any Medium covers, and the woolies are just right on the nappy but nowhere near small enough at the waist.
Lex - Can you track online? Still not here.
CM - Do you need some sanity? Unfortunately I don't know where to buy any, I have been looking for it for years
WOLB: ME Sandys with MAL cover (can't remember which one)
WOEB: BubbleJ with MAL cars cover.
Sas - I have skinny kids, and side snaps work ever so much better in this house than front snaps. Get too many wing droop issues with them if they are front snapping ones.
Oh and FWIW - Miss M is still in medium GF's - and she's nearly a year and nearly 10kg.
(OMG - Miss M is nearly a year old!!!!! Farrrrr out.. )
Hi girls!!!
Emily slept through last night!!! The first night in ages but she was in a sposie cause of nappy rash and woke up soaked!!!!! All through her clothes and grobag! Stupid sposie.
And we have a lovely day here again today so nappies are on the line!!
Yeah Mel how fast does it go!! We are planning Em's first brithday party at the mo!
i sooo hear you Mel and Ezy !! Gabbi is 1 next month too ..... a little scary . Mel , i cant believe Miss M is 10kg ! shes doing great for a long and lean babe ! Gabbi is so short and pudge , but hovering at the 8kg mark ... shes goign to be 1 and not even 9 kgs :0 maybe i should feed her once in a while ;) <joke>
NN are an issue for us .. nuff said
Ali , i have a MAL 2 up cover which i love :) ive never put it over an AIO , just a fitted . but i'll give it a try ! thanks ..
im having a super ****ola day and i really should be cleaning but DS is irritating me and i want to ignore him so cyber space it is !!
no fluff today .. perhaps tomorrow .. am going to pay off my itti laybuy BUT today i noticed windroop in the med size ... does this mean its too small ???
How do they know to hold on to the pooey nappy bit until after you change them to a new nappy because of a wet nappy after waking up for a feed? DS's done this the last 3 days during the day when using MCNs and not when using sposies overnight  Have worked out though to make sure there's no leg gape - got a wee bath on me, the feeding pillow and chair earlier today when he decided to wee while feeding. Noice! discovered afterwards that the side that leaked had some gape-age there.
I'm so excited . . and I just can't hide it . . I ordered . . so-ome . . mo-ore . . gor-geous . . nappies . . naaaappiies.
Woo hoo, GF Custom Bumble Bee side-snapping (thanks Mel) minky and Caterpillar Night Nappies heading this way - figured may as well get the extra absorbency of the night's, only an extra $2. Of course they'll take aaaaages, but look like they'll be worth the wait.
Nikki says the Med's go from 7 - 11kg-ish maybe more if thin bub, so they should last the distance here, especially if bub keeps up this closing of the mouth whenever food or milk comes near. Grrr, blasted teeth.
WOEB: BBH & Maz Minkee Cow Cover (it's 7, that means time for bed)
