Also got my replacement boosters from itti bitti (great service there!) and 2 thirsties covers and a squeeky cheeks cover for the girls.

no fluff for me this week , hang on !!!! yes there was , on sunday i got a hand dyed rainbow tiedyed auriel :) its so bright and devine , put a smile on my face !!! now i just need a tutu and a cute rainbow singlet to complte my "free spirt" look ... for DD not me :lol:

Hey I have a popular, over-asked question for you guys.
MCN's and creams. I know about moogoo and the black label pawpaw cream. But according to chemists here they either don't know about them or can't get them. For a capital city this town is heaps remote.
Is there anything else? I had a look around the forums but Ive only seen the pawpaw and moogoo mentioned + the liners.
I know about liners etc, but little Munchkin has a small tendency to pull them out the sides :doh:
Her bum is a bit spotty at the moment, and seems a bit painful. She's teething molars at the moment, so I'm pretty sure what it is. So I was hoping there was something I could hit a chemist up for, before I considered ordering the moogoo online ifykwim.

Alioops mentioned A'kin cream in the last thread Alioop's post thread #183. Don't know if this helps or not.
I would probably just bite the bullet and order some Moo Goo MSM cream - goes on most changes here and seems to keep most of the red nappy area at bay.
Kamarine - try some plain cornflour for now until you can get some cream - basically you wnat to avaiod petroleum based products and zinc oxide. There are heaps available try a health food store or organic baby store etc. there may also be some in your supermarkets if your stores stock the baby gaia range - The biggest variety by far is online, basically any nappy store will have a brand of cream they sell that is suitable for MCN - good luck

Having heaps of fun allocating nappies to models but is harder then I thought! Originally was going to be a random draw but that doesn't work when you have to match size and gender - derrrr - hope everyone likes the nappy they get - there are some super special ones!!!

Well, DS christened his new GF side snapper yesterday in poospolive style....got the tick of approval clearly LOL. Little squirt required sooner rather than later me thinks. I'm very impressed with the fit and the absorbency is working much better for us. Might have to sneak in a few more before my mat pay runs out soon hehe
Saram - when you say avoid zinc oxide - does that apply to the powders too? I need to use it in the little creases everynow and then for DS as its the only thing that seems to keep them protected when they get red.

Hi Lollybaby - yep I would avoid it as it will clog up the liners on your nappies. Have you tried plain corn flour powder? You can also find some commercially available corn flour powders with chamomile and calandula which will help with redness. Otherwise I would strip wash often.

I'll look around on the weekend at the chemists for the other ones. But her bum is clearing up. (Probably because the little sod tears her nappy off as soon as I'm not looking.) She slept barebummed last night. :o Her night nappy was pristine, but the cot wasn't...
But I think I might just order some Moogoo if I can get away with it. From what I've heard its the best. DH was confused when I said about creams, it was kind of cute.

Kam- DD has such bad nappy rash atm , so soo sore , they are now open blisters :( and red red raw , bleeds when i wipe :( she is teething atm and she has never had NR before , getting molars and cross teething which ive heard makes it worse moogoo cleard up the red skin , but not the acutal rash itslef kwim , if you get it early its wonderful stuff !! (try not to want to eat it ;))

yup - she's still on the second set of snaps from the outside - it's probably going to be a bit short in the rise soon... she still fits some of her nb ones maz! havent had to graduate to medium at all yet (except for one that we used as a show off one!)
i had her in one of her nb ones (the Elf one) only last week to take some Christmassy photos (just in case she flashed her nappy cover - which she was lol

Maz - Jamie still fits in the small still its just 2 short in the rise but he needs a large for nights coz of the boosted BBH and the medium fits in the middle there lol

thankfully E isn't a heavy wetter overnight - half the time her nappy is dry, or almost dry, when she wakes for a feed. her first nappy in the morning is a whole different story...

I have found the same thing, MAL covers still fit snaps wise but getting a bit short on the rise, next size up is a bit bulky on the bum though.....

hun, i'm sure we'll all provide whatever feedback you need! i have been thinking possibly a slightly higher rise - but it really depends on what nappy E has on underneath - most their fine, but if i put on her yummy MAL night nappy with all it's boosting, i go up a size in cover lol
E loves her covers - we let her choose at night which one to put on - she seems to really like the black panda two up at the moment - and her POG.

Bimboo thats strange. 32 weeks? They want me to push for 36 weeks! Crazy cz my twins share a placenta and they want to leave it off as long as possible. Guess it depends on who you get and where you go. I know I shouldnt complain about still being pregnant I just cant believe how stressful this whole experience has been, physically and emotionally.
I resisted the GD and AG stockings tonight. Looked at both but decided otherwise. Id rather more covers and fitteds for the girls anyway cz DS has plenty of nappies :lol:

Bimboo - we have the same trouble with wipes....my kids are super sensitive and when I use shop bought so to speak they break out. Ive been using chamomile wipe solution form bubbly bliss and its working great
I just took my nappies of the line.....nice and crunchy lol. and found a nest of dame earwigs right in the middle of my vegy patch near my tomoatoes :( bastards!!!

Bimboo - I have 2 friends who were pregnant with twins at the same time I was with DS & both were told cs at 32 weeks was pretty likely. When they first said it (28 weeks with the fraternals) it was just coz they weren't both head down yet. They were going to send them off to Sydney for the cs since the babies would be so young.
Anyway, one went into labour herself at 32 weeks anyway. by the time she realised what was happening it was too late to stop it. Sent her off to Sydney & she birthed them vaginally.
The other's babies both decided to go head down at 34 weeks & she had them vaginally at 37+4.
Anyway...back to nappies... can I ask if there's anyone who sells all fleece nappies? DS can't have PUL on him at all anymore. He's too sensitive. They leave his whole nappy area bright red after an hour or 2.

Couldn't resist GD last night, scored a beetlebum xmas nappy (the red one). It's so pretty! Now Laa has a gorgeous MAL xmas cover and a BB..... bliss :)
bj - genessa forge and cuddlesncloth do all flecce, no PUL nappies. I think The Cloth Nappy shop might too?
bimboo - we use the mandy mac the "wrong" way around, I put the hemp against laa's skin, not that purple synthetic stuff.
wipes solution - I love dixie drops from sugar shots and have just tried the ones from twinkle lily, but the sugar shots ones are muh more economical (have just now needed to buy a second bag, first bag lasted for over 6 months). I drop one into a thermos and its enough for 1-2 days.

My sis is in the UK atm and has offered to get me nappies for Christmas! She knows me well :) So, any suggestions for good UK/European nappy brands I should ask for? DD seems to have a skinny waist compared to the size of her things and rise, and is a pretty heavy wetter. Natural fabrics next to skin are also better for her. TIA!
