oh, i dont like the petties! i bought 2 of them, and they are so hard to get done up and undone! i think its because of dd's thunder thighs! i was going to sell them, but they might fit the next bub better, so long as she isnt another chubba!!
wokb: pea pod
I found the BBH in general only fit DD during one stage of growth. It's when she's starting to get chunky but not so chunky she's about to growthspurt IYKWIM. I can at a pinch use them either side of when she fits them properly but we either get a little gape or they leave red marks where they sit on her legs. She's stocking up for another spurt because she has been eating NOBN-STOP today and even ate tuna mornay which she turned her nose up at a week ago... I am not looking forward to that dairy filled nappy...
WOCB: Nothing, she's getting free bum time while getting a book read to her on daddy's lap but she'll start wiggling if she wants to wee
Yeah I got some petites to try on DD2 and they just didn't sit well - the ladies on another forum I visit (nappy addicts) said that it woudl be very unlikely for any bubba to actually grow out of the mediums - but they were too small for her, even on the largest setting. Actually I honestly could not find any commercially made products that fit "perfectly" - that I found in the WAHM world.
WOAB - SHP lushie/thirsties PUL cover
WOMB - Beetlebums pocket with Radar applique
BBH are the only ones that really fit DS well here. I bought 4 new petites in large but they are still too big for him. i have gaping on one side of the legs. the mediums still fit him really well on the second to smallest snap setting too. so i bought 3 new petites off of that groups on fb just waiting for them to arrive now.
DD is 15 kilos and still fits the medium magicalls. She has a very scrawny build (most of the time) though.
WOCB: Blue abby gro
audax ours was $25 a wear :o but i sold it for $18 so its all good lol she wore it once it was too small but then i got a small magicall the same colour and it fits awesome :)

Oh wow I have a load today, & its raining!!!
Missed a day on Friday, so had 2 days worth I washed yesterday morning. They were still washing when I went to mum's for the night, so I asked DH to hang them out when he got home from fishing. But, no... he decided to get drunk & stay at his mates the night. So they are still waiting, with another 24 or so ours worth from mum's place
I need a new dryer so bad!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well, thank the Lord for back up flats!!! We're almost down to them!!
WOSB - Pink CT
Seriously raining here too.
We did our first wool soaker night last night, one of mumma's homemade prefolds, a booster liner and a loveybums cover. She wet the nappy right through, but the soaker just felt a little damp. Anyway, at about 5:30am, I changed her into her CTBD for the first time, same cover, and she christened it with an enormous poo - enough got ont he cover that I have to wash it. Bummer.
WONB: Cookie monster coloured itti.
Abby Gro just had a stocking for anyone that is interested. Only about 5 nappies but 15% off. A few cute ones there.
WOCB: Tequila Sunrise Abby Gro. i had lost it in nappy bag and it just reappeared

WOIB-fleece stripey Abby gro

Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
lol there is always someone commenting on sales :D
hi everyone!
after all my mums going on on the phone, "ill just stick with the disposables, that sounds more confusing thenthe cloth 23 years ago i had YOU in" she came over, asked me to show her what i was on about, so i gave her a quick crash-course! (just basic explination) and when dd woke up, as i was having a shower, i told her were the (now emergencey) disposables were, well, she figured it out on her own, and had dd all changed and dry in a mcn!! with out any help! so good shes not only doing her best to get along, but also trying things my way!!! oh, and DF went to change one yesterday! but shed done no2, so he told me its all mine.... (since who changes it has to dispose of it, he cant bring himself to it yet!!)
quick question: it seems dd is becoming more relaxed in her poo's and there getting prety messy, what sort of liners are the best for a quick clean up? and dont effect the fit
my mum can do it no worries just DH has the problem lol i was a cloth bum when i was a baby :)
WOMB: baby safari V1
WOSB: prefold and cover
I just used the disposable home brand ones from woolies but if DD had only done wee I put the liner through the wash with the nappy. They shrunk a little but by no means were unusable. I could wash them 3-4 times before they went holey.
DP is ace on MCN and can put them together. My brother in-law won't put one on his son, he refuses so only my sister uses them there. Some people are so stubborn.
Everyone I have shown is impressed with the MCNs. People at playgroup said "doesn't she get nappy rash?" but then I pulled one out and showed them the stay dry liner and such. I think they were dtsgusted when I said you don't bleach them until I explained the antibacterial properties in the bamboo. The nappy I was demoing was one of my older ones and I showed them how it had no stains and it had probably been crapped in 30 odd times  I asked if they were shocked they should sniff it and there was no smell which all their jaws dropped  One has been converted and as soon as her very prem bub hits 3ish kilos then she's stocking up!
WOCB: Huckleberry Abby Gro... DD poured water all over the Tequila Sunrise one after only 10 mins wear *sigh*
yep ppl love them here they think its an awesome thing i save tons of money now that i havent spent any money on nappies in ages im really happy with myself that i have enough nappies in my stash (just) and after christmas im gonna treat the kiddies to a custom nappy each :) with a cute little dragon applique huckleberry minky for jaz and raspberry gelato for jamie im so excited lol
WOMB: BBH night and big brother maz cover
WOSB: emerald magicall boosted with a trifold
I've got a custom order on the way from Maz after chrissy. Some bibs, a taggy blanket & a night nappy. Would add more, but can't afford it all in one hit, lol, so will just have to get more later ;)
WOSB - Maz night nappy
Caught DH doing a little dance last night when putting away the CTBD - excited that it was dry! It's so luscious.
WONB: Owl print bambooty
Lol, if someone asks, DH would tell them I use cloth, but other than that he has nothing to do with them! Just rolls his eyes at my excitement
WOSB - Pocket change
My DH helps me at stockings :) He even asked me to replace Laa's full stash with Beetlebums pockets :) Can't say no to such a request LOL!!
I can't remember the name of the liners I use, I bought a pack of 100 when Laa was tiny and it's still pretty much full, I found them rather useless TBH. Solid poo just falls of the nappy anyway and softer stuff (gosh I love what we talk about in this forum PMSL) tends to leave marks which all wash out in time anyway...........
Waiting on fluff - 3 more Auriels for Ameika, a couple of BB night nappies for her and a couple of BB ISO's for Matisse :)
now, which order will I put them in today? :P
WOAB - lushie - thirsties PUL cover
WOMB - Beetlebums rainbow/heart applique pocket (thanks to Miss Raven, even further back thanks to Miss Gigi). There you go ladies - this nappy has served 2 other little girls and is still in perfect condition. I bet it will still be "selllable" even after servicing my two little ones. All hail cloth!!! (well made cloth that is)
clover he does that too at times but its so funny watching him and listening to him rave about them. he even told a friend of ours that when their baby is born then feel free to borrow some of our nappies (the smalls we have).
Jack was cuddling the 2 CK nappies that arrived yesturday.....was sooo cute!!! put one on him and he promptly christened it the other is a size 0 and it is gorgeous!!!
now waiting on my 4 fattycakes fitteds & my maz layby to arrive :)
Ow my head :(
Kids are playing up, Summer's having horrible unsettled screaming moments & eczema flair ups. Poor Jesse just came screaming out here with a bleeding fat lip, coz Bri poked him in the bum with something making him jump forward hitting his mouth, putting his tooth through his lip
I really don't like holidays!!!
Expecting the ILs any minute. Including DH's nan. Looking forward to it :)
Didn't get the chance before to say my mum loves the fluff as much as I do :) Uses it all & wants to know everything about it. We were all cloth babies too.
WOSB - Kawazakee skulls & hearts.
ETA - they're here :)
Fluffy mail - got my 3 GF super super trim night nappies (17 layers of bamboo!) red outers and pale yellow inners. Only problem was we (DS & me) were dozing in the car and I heard the postie knock on the door and woke both of us up :( DS hasn't quite had enough sleep for the day.

An ecobub pocket
3 maz small covers
:)
WOMB nothin nappy free before the bath
WOSB pink itti SIO
Got a question for you cloth nappying experts... I have some eenees microfibre prefolds which I nev er use as its too much faffing around having to put a liner between the microfibre and babys bot. Can I use them as cleaning cloths? Are the microfibre cleaning cloths at the shops just the same stuff?
WOFB: bambineo fitted and PUL cover
I had some microfibre inserts for nappies that I think work better to clean mirrors Meow. I am pretty sure it's the same stuff just woven differently. I always use rubber gloves while handling the cloths though because they kill your hands. I have been feeling soooooooooooo queasy all day and had to sneakily hurl at playgroup. The smell of buttered popcorn apparently triggeres morning sickness... It has been raining all day so lucky I didn't put a fluff load on. The abby gro where I shattered the snap is en route back too so I am expecting old but new fluffy mail :P
WOCB: Citrus slush abby gro
Yup. In fact, if you like microfibre inserts (yuck lol) you can buy cheap cleaning cloths and cut them up into boosters!!
Triple J - I am doing the same thing, putting all the NB stuff away already :( She is only 6 weeks old! Or should I say already? :( Her current stash is
12 lushies
12 Auriels (3 OTW)
6 widdlewuns
6 SS! Fitteds
Though I have to admit at the moment things are drying in 1 day so I do have plenty. Apart from all that rain last week, nappies were still taking 2 days. She is going through around 8 nappies a day. Laa went through around 12 at this age.
WOMB - Daddy currently changing her from circles/hot pink BB mashup into BB wooly night
WOAB - Lushie/Thirsties cover
Cute Tooshies Bamboo Delight. DH asked last night if we could use it after the bath - before we were anywhere near the change table! His second favourite is the Spunky Butts fitteds, then my homemade prefolds.
WONB: Kissaluv and blue Bummis cover. Bout to change her though, hmmmmm....
Oh, yeah, got the BBH petite down to $5 a wear. DH calls it "that weird green one"
lol weird green one DH wouldnt even know where to start with a petite lol

WOKB babyhosen, but going for a change, i think it needs a bio hazzard on the bum now!!
Ok ladies I have a situation.
Ds is on ABs as he has tonsillitis. He's on the mend now but the ABs are giving him the most horrible runny poos ever and they have stained my TL wool cover, flat and a couple of boosters. Any idea how I can get it out? Needless to say we are is sposies and his poor little butt is so red raw, he cries when I wipe it :(
Sun hasn't worked? Maybe a strip wash??
Haven't tried yet. It's a pretty hard core stain tho.
Can you strip wash wool?
no, because a strip wash is a hot wash, it'd shrink. Try a bit of napisan paste on it. That might just do the trick. Make sure you wash in cold or they'll become doll's soakers :p
DD smells like poo! That is all
WOCB: POO
