    cloth nappies and newborn poo

How do cloth nappies handle that newborn tar poop? Does it come out of the nappy at all? Is there something i can put in the nappy to protect it more?

With my newborns I used flats instead of MCN's. Flats kinda go down the leg a bit and catch the yellow froth a bit better than MCN's. I don't recall having any trouble getting the tarry stuff out... nappisan and some strong sunlight did the trick. Hospitals use flats too (if you don't bring your own sposies) and also give you snibs.

    You could use liners.

I used sposies for the first week full time - just till they had gone normalish poos.

Now I thank the universe for the invention of a little squirt.. cos they still aren't pretty!!! lol

i have had no troubles so far & this kid can poo!
The tar poo came off easily for me & i just used my finger over the tap & washed it off as soon as i took the nappy off.
