When my bub was about 10 weeks I bought a part time pack of itti bitti's and they were awesome.... But they had to be washed within 48 hrs and I hated having to do a load of washing for a handful if nappies!

Love the concept of mcn's but not for me. I sold them after only using them for about a month.

Tammie you dont need to wait to do a whole load of just nappies.. i just put mine through a rinse cycle then chuck other stuff in with them!!

so what is all the Hype with fitteds?? tell me more!

i just ordered a few more pockets... need a few to bulk out my stash.. at the moment we can go a day and a bit without needing to wash but im worried that in winter they wont dry as fast and i will be washing all day every day lol

Just have a sort of cloth related question here too..
how many of you cloth using mummas also have amber necklaces for bubs (or are planning to get amber)?

A friend of mine went out an bought herself an entire stash of CT's - 30. I just hope they don't turn her off cloth, I know some people love them but I think most have an aversion to them.

Mummabear- I use amber on DD and it really does help! She's a 6+ teeth at a time kid and when I lost my necklace for a few weeks it was absolute HELL! Within an hour of finding it and putting it back on she had settled X100!

Kitt3n- Hoping your friend does have better luck with CTs. I had kept all of mine in the nappy case for some reason and I litterally chucked them all out yesterday! after so much hastle getting 5 out of my 16 replaced I stopped bothering! I outright refuse to deal with the company now.

DD must be unwell or growth spurting. She slept through delivery guys delivering our oven. Off to lay down with her too I think!

I think I'm hooked on night nappies, finally...... we've now had 4 nights in bbh's and only just damp in the mornng. Now I just need to find covers of some type for when it finally cools down and bed times more then a nappy and singlet. Thinking shorties/longies only because she's such a pain to dress and can't imagine trying for an extra layer. Now to either find a pattern and hit the grannies up for knitting duty or just buy a couple of pairs which would probably be easier.

hi all, no nappy buying here for now no cloth love at all at the moment had about 3 days haning out drying friday, and it started raining, i went out to pull them off, by the time i got them off i was ankle deep in water! the back yard got to knee deep all up, had to re wash and they are still drying, so is the rest od fridays and saturdays, been in disposables since last night df put her to bed last night and asked why her bum felt funny under her jammies, EVEN he noticed!!!!
i hope they finnish drying today, i almost put the sposie from last night in the nappy bin and all to!

i feel even worse someone posted this vid on fb this morning how sposies are made tho i fail to see how studdies have shown that disposables are better at eliminating nappy rash!? poor bub has blisters on her fan from ONE night back in them!! never knew how much effort and processes went into making them, it almost looks like making a mcn would be less hassles!

ETA: yep we have amber here to, and its awsome! (also stoped ds2 stealing every tube of bonjella to eat yuck!)

Hi all.... missed the new thread

I got fluffy mail yesterday!!!!!!!!
1 yellow tutto, 2 MAL nights, 6 MAL driblets, a taggy blanky & a tester MAL day nappy.

Happily in love again!
First dribblet lasted on Missy for 7 hours... second for 2 hours (drool picks up of an arvo!)

Day nappy was on for 2 hours before it started to feel damp (fleece outter, no PUL) & that was unwashed by me!!

Summer has an amber necklace on 24/7 & has for about 2 or 3 weeks now.

WOSB - blue itti & off to find the babylegs... its a bit cool & she just piddled on her sleeping bag, then giggled

Mummabear - we have an amber necklace here. Got it on amberbebe.com.au. - eli's been wearing it since about 5 mths and while I can't tell you how much it helps with pain (I've got nothing to measure against since he didn't have any teeth then) it definitely stops the drooling! I love it and have had 2 friends try them also and they think it's made a difference for their bubs too.

As for washing the mcn's with other things... That was my own mental issue, I couldn't bring myself to wash the clothes and nappies together!

Sarah, I'm sorry your little girl reacted so badly to the sposies. We were the opposite here, I had the bamboo inserts and E got NR whenever we used the mcn's but only gets a little NR while teething with sposies... Every kid's different but I definitely find there's less NR with the sposies.

thats the odd thing tho! weve only been in cloth since just befor chrissy full time, so i have no idea why she reacted like that so quick!!
i also dont wash the nappies with clothes, i rinse them out then put them on, if its only a few i put the machine on extra small load.
Arimeh, i still dont know how to fold flats!! ive got 6 weeks to master it tho, i guess ill get the folding right once i start getting covered in baby mess!

What are SugarShots like? I saw that they had some but wasn't sure what they were like.

I've been really slack lately and was using sposies alot as A was a little poop machine and I couldn't deal with it! I reaaaalllllllly need a little squirt! DH reckons he can make one and thinks $90 is a rip off (easy for him to say, he doesn't have to clean the poop!).

What are SugarShots like? I saw that they had some but wasn't sure what they were like.

Sugar shots ROCK! Trim, absorbent, great fit..... what more could you want ? LOL I love them to bits. Most of our stash are either SS! pockets or beetlebums pockets. I love pockets now because they are so much easier to put together - it doesn't matter which brand, which size etc - the boosters are all universal wo when putting together 2 days worth of two in cloth it just makes life EASY.

I prefer AIO/2 so I don't gotta pull them apart to wash, lol.
I like the look of SS & have been tempted, but other than swaddlebees & AT's side snaps are too big in the belly.

Where would I get training pants from? I'm gonna sell DS's nights if I can't swap to buy some pants. He only wets in the mornings & only every few weeks.

stoked - there are a couple of blogs on the net where housewives hubbies have made their own little squirts. just need to google it and voila!

WOHB - bbh bamboo fitted with bbh pul cover. about to have a bath shortly so then we go to sposie overnight. waiting until he goes up to larges before we get some night nappies.
