so with the ebay cheapies, what else can I put in them as boosters?? Trifolds? Are they just the old school ones?

I find my issy bear inserts are awesome in the ebay cheapo pockets. A little bulkier than what come with them but it fills them up nicely. Plus you get one day and one night booster than snap together or go separately :)

Trifolds are squares of bamboo that you just fold into three and use in pockets (or in AI2s you just put it under the liner...) babybeehinds make them, and cushietushie. I like the thickness of the BBH but the CT ones are a bit bigger, peapods are a good mix of the two. Nice and thick and a good size :):
What is the best bamboo material to make my own? I have double bamboo terry for wipes but could get something else...

It'd probably work out more cost effective to buy them by the time you stuff around with sewing and such. Unless of course you're a really fast sewer and have an overlocker etc.
The BBH ones are only five bucks at the moment. Dunno if you could make them for that much?:

C did a massive poo and it shot right out the side of her medium SIO itti so I think it is still too big for her... Poor DH was holding her and he got poo ALLL over him! hahahahahaha... I took photos.

went back to the health shop to get the msm cream but she still hasnt orderd it in so gave me another free sample pot till i can get it from the site. i got the honey lipbalm and owchies! tingly honey isnt the word, feels like a bee was stinging me!! but it tastes so yum lol!

I got an organic pawpaw with honey stuvff in it and it burnt my lips n I ended up with little bubbly things all around my lips. Took me like 3 weeks before I figured it out!! Now I use the yellow pawpaw tube and it is AMAZING!!
I'm BAAAAAACK! We just got home from our 16 day camping epic. It was ace. You'll all be pleased to know that after all my floundering about, trying to find snappis and worrying if we had enough, that I managed to not pack any! :doh::doh: Luckily, BigW at Dalby was open when we called through. We did really well, and didn't run out, although it was touch and go at one point, and we were rinsing pocket shells out in the creek at one campsite and we pretty much ran to the laundry as soon as we got to Rockhampton.
Our camping inventory:
7 terry flats
2 BBH fitteds
4 Bonnibuns pockets
2 Green Kids pockets, and three inserts
1 Monkey Doodlez minky pocket (OMG how lush are they?!?!) and two inserts
2 Ecobubs PUL pockets and inserts
1 Weehuggers cover and two inserts
2 GF Ai2s
2 Totsbots covers, one fleece and one PUL
1 BBH wool cover.
4 TB Bamboozles, boosted with prefolds and stay-dry boosters.
We pulled up short of night nappies for one night, but a BBH fitted with WeeHugger insert did the job quite nicely. Bubs got a little bit of a rash when she snuck out a poo, which didn't smell, than sat in it in the car for three hours. Heaps of nappy off time fixed her up though.
We left a load of nappies out before we went, and got a friend to take care of them. So half my stash is at her house, and I miss them all. On the upside, all I have left is my most extreme pretties. Yay.
In other news:
I find prefolds really good for stuffing pockets, including the ebay cheapies. The ebay cheapie (I only have one) insert is then chucked into some other nappy as a booster.
No other news.
WONB: Bamboozle, boosters, wool cover. The usual night time gig. (Because my GNST is having a sleepover at my friend's house :()
im so in love with my BGs that iv ordered another 10 pockets with snaps. yay. apart from my AIO fail overnight where DS wet the bed, we have not had a single leak. i
just put an extra insert in for night time, and it lasts about 12 hours!
DF bought me a little fold up clothesline, so they had their first sunbake today. :) instead of the dryer.
and i made an oooopsie earlier in the thread and got a warning. :( didnt know you cant post links to websites. was just tryna help.lol. always wondered why people wrote google such and such instead of just typing the link. :)

That's why I shoot people PMs with links. I'm pretty sure it's a breach of the BB user agreement to actually post a link EG advertising. Blogs in signatures are accepted because they're technically the individual's property and not selling stuff. Market place members are another exception but that's another section and there are certain guidelines I'm pretty sure.
No nappy news here really. I gave my inserts a good sunning today on the clothes horse in a puppy proof place (behind the pool fence :lol:) They're looking much nicer then when they were just getting the brief morning sun through the open laundry window. I know our labrador was eyeing them off though!
Hahahaha thats cute!! Our border collie jas just started pulling things off the line, she doesnt chew them tho! Just pulls them. And we find pegs on the ground, i know pegs dont just fall off!!! Smart puppy is getting them off!!!:

Oh i forgot to say!!! A knights tale on fb make the fattycakes nappy pattern and in her album called "random" tjere is photos of this ruffled ballet mcn. I asked her if she had anymore fabric to make me one and she had run out of the ballet slippers one. I happen to have a yard of it that i havent used and prob wont so she is having the fabric an makin me that nappy for $15 off! :D go have a look at it, it has pink demask minky n ballet shoe fabric and tulle as ruffles.
Sooooooo cute!
And i bought the fattycakes pattern so i can make my own nappies eventually (when i finish all my ruffle orders!!!)

Our Lab has very sharp teeth and destroyed an $80 sheet that was 6 months old the other day. he tore a giant section out and now it's unusable. he just likes to pull stuff off the line because it moves in the breeze. It taunts him :lol::
Does anyone have issues with BBH nappies going smelly because they're slower to dry? I mean the sized magicalls. I am even laying it flat with the inside facing up in the sun but they still feel damp! I did hygiene wash them but the smell just returned after next drying round. What does everyone else do?
We had PGD IVF because of a sex linked disease I carry so we know the sex of our frozen embies :D:
