we saved the thick plastic bags which either zip or pres stud up that you buy wraps and bonds suits in, as they're waterproof, and we got them for wet nappies.

most times though, we use sposies if we're out for a change. but we take cloth, so they one DS will be wearing when we get home can be a cloth.

When I go to playgroup/someone's house I just wet a face washer with water. I use the thinner cheapy ones from woolies for bum wipes. The few cloth wipes I have tried weren't grabby enough for a bigger poo and I just smeared it everywhere. I give the face washer a quick rinse before I chuck it in the crapped in nappy (after I have flicked any loose poo into the toilet.) I found that the few times I was out and DD needed a change any disposable wipes I had were dry from sitting in the nappy bag so long. I have found that parent rooms generally have taps anyway and water does the trick.

i should have the prety ruffle by the end of the week! just got to warm inside up and hope for a sunny day so she can show it off!!
im doing a trial with the detol(sp?) and canastin(sp?) washes this week, see what one works best for freshening them up with no sun!

Sarah do you have some lovely White or pink baby legs so she can wear it in the colder weather? Good idea with the spray bottle.

Thanks for the tips ladies. I'm my limited parent room experience I find the sink is in a separate room than the change table, WTF! Do they not think about where we have to put our baby to wash our hands? One place even had the toilet in the other little room! That's just stupid.

Wowb- issy bear night set up.

I saw those babylegs Sarah, but I'm on the lookout for girlies stuff too.

We use cloth wipes full-time. I found using sposie wipes while out was a pain in the hole - nappy goes in the wetbag, wipes go in plastic bag. SO much easier to use cloth wipes and just chuck them all in the wetbag. I carry 10 flannie and 5 terry wipes in a zippered pvc bag. I mostly just use them dry, but if I need to wet them down I have a little bottle of diluted Gaia baby moisturiser that I squirt on. I just top that up from time to time.

Jaki - Genesa Forge sale. I love them, my fave naps by far.
Check out Bubblebubs foamy wipes wash, I think that was on sale not long ago because they have new fragrances coming out.

No fluffy mail so far, but Roshan (parcel postie) doesn't usually come til after 3. Yes, we're on first name terms. Well, no, he calls my husband Dr Surname. Online shopping FTW!

Sorry for no persies! Too hard to keep up!! LOL!

fluffy mail today!! Got my danube tutto. SO pretty

Sarah: I am getting ebay ones. DH doesn't like them but I need them for her pretties!!! LOL! YAY to sun!!

Audax: LOL! I love how you know the posties name.. I should know mine, Vixen (our puppy) tries to attack the postie bike!!! haha. OOH Might check out bubblebubs cause I want a bum solution for her wipes (when I finally make them)

Back from Coffs Harbour now and I used cloth the whole time I was there. Took 12 for the 5 days (including traveling) and only washed once! I only did a light wash cause the nappies were only wee not poo, but I have to re-wash them cause they still smell a little.

WOCB: sposie.. still waiting for BBh fitteds and BBh covers, ooh and a Maz cover to come

OOH I just got 2 bubblebubs foaming bum stuff!! 50% off at the moment.
These are the 2 flavours I got:
Relaxation - Full bodied yet warm floral bouquet with light fruity top notes and a smooth background of sweet musk
Black Magic - a magical blend of earthy sandalwood and Ylang Ylang with a hint of patchouli, vanilla and baby powder

And I just realised I didn't get the foaming pump... oops!

LOL I don't know the postie's name but the postie knows my name and he even said hello to me while shopping in coles one day!!!

We use cloth wipes here always have just with water and when we're out if I remember I take a couple that I have already wet but mostly I forget so they are dry and there is usually a tap somewhere. I made some and I have some Maz one's and some itti bitti ones- I have way too many though!

Can't believe I have never used sposie's or disposable wipes. have used all cloth from the start and i'm pretty proud of my effort!

Thinking about trying some of the new BBH multifits.

WOMB: cute tooshies and pink BBH cover.

I should really get/make some cloth wipes ... maybe I could cut up one of the flanney wraps we have for DS to make them ... but then I'd have to hem them by hand, which would probably take ooooooodles longer than buying some pre made ones ...

yup! I got mine on clearance for $2.50! 20 wipes for $5.00 SCORE! They aren't too plush so the bits don't get trapped when you wash them but they are plush enough to get a nice grip on all the little bits.

I have double bamboo terry to grab the "bits" and flannel for the wee's n drying. I am making my own once i get my overlocker!!! The bamboo is so soft.

I have put myself on a ban now and have told dh i have a spending problem so no more nappies after these 5 customs come. It is ridiculous how much i have spent. So i am not getting any more apart from a woolen cover knitted through a friend.

Sent from my iPhone so sorry for the spelling and punctuation!!

Has anyone used a bubblebubs swim nappy? I want some wipes foam and thought I might grab a nappy too for our holiday.
Tbh I've been leaning towards a packet of sposie swim nappies cause he still poos alot.
    What ya's think?

Meanwhile... I can't believe when you use a sposie how smelly it seems! Did an epic trip to rocky for shopping yesterday, used sposies and there is one laying next to my bed (eww I know) and it stinks of wee!!! It's not even that wet. But I can leave a used MCN in our room overnight and not smell it at all.

Jaki - have never noticed cos we never have sposies, but doesn't surprise me. For E's two swims we have gone no-nappy, but we do own a Bonnibuns swim nappy that I scored for free through Nest Nappies. I love pretty much everything from Bubblebubs, so I say go for it.

I have cheap face washers for wipes as well as 75 flanny squares made from old pillowcases. They are just overlocked, and SO handy to have, for anything.

Bexie - 12 nappies for 5 days, whoa! She mustn't be too big a wetter then - we need 6 a day. What customs have you got coming?

Roshan didn't come yesterday Today might be a bonanza... longies, lanolin, fitteds, covers. I have three packages on the way, surely one will be here today!

WONB: Little Britches pocket. Super thirsty.
