DH got the new circuit board thingy for the washing machine and he is fixing it now so everybody please pray or cross your fingers it fixes it so I can wash her nappies!!! LUCKILY I have a huge stash so still have about 9 nappies left to use plus 10 china cheapies!!!!

Hi ladies! Back from Sydney, our 18-nappy travel stash was tight, but we made it. We took a mix of pockets and pretties. DD was on an absolute poo rampage, and managed to poo on my mum's bed, her carpet and my PJs, as well as weeing all over mum's dressing gown (that one was mum's fault, if mum is anywhere near the baby, her nappy is off. Mum likes bare bums :lol:) So we were washing everyday, and then airing in front of the heater, worked really well.
We also had a poosplosion in the Qantas terminal, the beginning of a hideous chain of events that made for a very traumatic trip home. DH has said for me not to do any housework today and to just chill out, it was that bad. I am happy to oblige.
leckert - have you tried Bubblebubs AIOs? They have velcro tabs, and no snapping or stuffing involved. Doing a quick brain rack to think of anything else snap-less, but coming up blank. I love my GKs for travel, but full time stuffing is a pain in the bum, I agree. I have a Monkey Doodlez pocket, which is not snapped, and I think they might do an AIO too? Hopefully that helps.

Not keen on the velcro stuff, much prefer the snaps; meant the sizing - although DH thinks the GKs are getting too small for DS :rolleyes::
ETA: sorry did you mean the velcro like GK or the sizing? AG are all snaps and a very diverse fit.
ETA - not really keen on the idea of AIOs - take too long to dry in winter here- prefer snap ins (Ai2s) with an extra set of boosters/inserts so I can use outers while inners are still drying.

Making DD2 a nappy, hopefully tomorrow. She's wetting the bed every night. I have no idea why she's suddenly doing it now, but i'm guessing its the cold. DS also wet MY bed last night (& me), but he only does it every few weeks, so doesn't bother me half as much.
WOSB - B4B fitted & Maz cover
Abby Gro all snaps to do up on bubs. All the bits unsnap and are decent drying tme. They have the flannelette style bamboo inserts like BBH multifits (not the standard smooth stuff) but all unsnap to dry separate. They're also idiot proof when it comes to snapping together. Even my father who came to visit from interstate and has had nothing to do with MCNs EVER could construct one for me and put it on DD. They definately are an awesome nappy absorbancy wise too. Added bonus is there is no absorbant layer in the shells so a budget option would be buying additional inserts and swapping them out while the other inserts dried. The shells dry in about 5 mins on a clothes airer near the heater so would be ready for your extra inserts in no time.:
Fits like GKs, but with snaps. BBH multifits? AGs didn't work for us. (which reminds me, Jaki) GFs - front or sidesnapping. I say so because I love GKs, so I'm just going through everything else I like. Our Bubblebubs AIOs are no slower to dry than any of our bamboo inserts. Hey, what about Bonnibuns? Added bonus is that they're cheap. Very similar fit, easy drying time. Can send you one to try if you like...

wmm - the nappy hunt is a sponsored event where you go looking for an elusive icon which is hiding on a work at home based business. there are around 150 different companies that sponsor the site which have hidden the icon somewhere on their web site for u to find. once u have found it you click on it and put your email account in. they have extreme icons too but i always find them extremely hard to find! its great fun but very frustrating at times :rofl:

Just wanted to let you know, those of you that are after cloth wipes, I use the basic Terry facewashers from target, they're in the baby Manchester section and are $5 for a pack of ten. I bought some more yesterday and they scanned at $2.50! Woohoo! 25 cents each is pretty awesome!
They are my favs.. And I have a few 'proper' cloth wipes to compare them too!
I have those! We have white ones for the bum, coloured ones for the face.:
Bexie - bambootys are pretty good. Small fit though. We are already busting out of mediums here. Nice trim little nappy though, good for the nappy bag.

I have some face washer wipes which are good but I especially love my maz Sherpa ones! Except for the black ones that keep running in the wash onto my nice White inserts :( they are great tho, I fold them up in a special way and put them in a huggies box, pour a mix in to dampen them and they pull out just like disposable wipes :D

I'm another fan of facewasher wipes here. Cheap crappy ones for the bum and sheridans I scored for 50 cents-$1 each in a melbie outlet for the face :D
WMM- Try washing the black sherpa wipes on their own with salt (maybe soak them salted in the sink then rewash in normal detergent in the machine on their own). It used to stop my new red/black clothes from running so maybe it'll work for that particular material.
I am hoping for some sun tomorrow because nappies have been dried inside of late. a few days ago looked too threatening to do a mass wash after a drizzle patch so today and yesterday was spent catching up on clothes. Nappies are on the airer in front of the heater but if there's sun I am so sticking them outside for a good airing/grey homepathic sleep remedy sweetener wee patches cleanse. They copped a little panadol when Pixie's ankle was badly sprained too so looking super greyed right now. I know they're clean but they look sooooo much more awesome after a good sunning.
Bexie, you should be OK for at least a while. It's the low rise that's making them no good for us. And for 11 odd dollars, you only have to use them for three months to be cheaper than sposies. Less if you sell them on.
No ABs here, but I have a feeling there will be some Panadol use in the next 24 hours. :( And needles due next week!

My precious little poppet did a curry poo in one of SIL's nappies. heh heh heh. The curry was full of turmeric, so hopefully it stains. (won't though. Suedecloth just never seems to stain)

oh, im so happy!!! i done a swap, and the nappy came today, gensa forge with ladybug and dragonfly embroidery on the back, ooh i love it, lucky, as i got dd2 the exact same pic on a diffrent brand nappy today. i cant wait for it to arrive i know A wont be at all fussed, but K will be bringing them to me every change they arnt in the wash!

a co-op is something were a bunch of people get to gether and put a "mass" order in with a wahm to get a discount. i just done the scarlet eve one... df convinced me that since im doing the kids nappies pads wouldnt be any diffrent... well guess ill find out once things return to "normal"
i figure $20, it would be worth it to see if i can catch on, if i still suck, well i can just get grandma to do it all!:lol: pluss there are a couple of material shops up the road closing down, so wont cost a lot to practice.

I got heaps of fluff today!! 5 tuttos from babipur (3 aren't for me), my new purple BBH fitted (soooooooo much softer than the 2nd hand ones) and 2 med GNST that are pretty much brand new and I on;y paid $60 INC express post!! SOO happy with them! I was a bit scared cause she didn't want to take photos but they are perfect!
How long would you give for postage on 3 fitteds from WA to here? I think it has been like 2 weeks and nothing? I am a little worried. :(
