Woohoo!! Got my boos already! And they gave me a moo wetbag which is what i asked for so very happy! They are in the wash now.

Has anyone tried bella bumz? I have a really cute emb one in medium but it is soo small!!! Usually all her nappies are done up as tight as they can be around her waist but this one only has one snap left! And it leaked right away :( i am thinking i may have to sell it cause its just not a good fit... Its so cute tho! Says:

And is blue minky with hot pink inside. :(

Audax: will let you know if i am selling anymore bbh fitteds. I do love them tho so not sure if i will. Maybe the hemp one? I love them new.. Sooo soft!

cute bex wouldnt fit jazz too small im getting rid of my small BBH's soon :( they were so cute on her but we are almost getting bum crack i want to get more DM's love the fit on jazz so much i have about 7 of them now need more DM fluff shes doing surprise customs now i love surprises lol

Bexie - Yeah I got a Bella Bumz at the RNW event in Brissie last year. I quite liked it, fit wise, it was a small, and I RAOK'd it on back in about March. I have a few hemp fitteds already, but thanks.

MNB - yes, whata lot of poo you have washed away. You should have kept some and framed it or something. :rofl: Actually, I'm a bit sentimental like that, couldn't possibly sell the Spunky Butts fitted that DD did her first poo in.

CL - my batty old next door neighbour and my mum both swear by moontanning. I don't think it makes that much difference, but panadol staining on SIL's itti boosters is enough to have me pulling out all stops. The Bambooty smalls are great on a newborn.

Just bought 3 more Bcheeks. Im still not happy about the footy nappy situation but gosh darn they just fit him so well. 3 for $60 again.
Once the rest of my nappies sell i want a few more bonnibuns workhorse and a couple more pop ins and im done!
Except for the odd pretty or custom of course ;)

i have pumpkin pop ins but they are used around the house and at night (if i remember or not in the wash)

i got my first envious nappy and pretty nappy in the mumma loves bubba fb sale the other day!!! i cant wait for it to come so i can try it!

Had to pop in here for some sympathy for my itti fail this morning. I was too lazy to take his sleep suit off when I changed him this morning and figured cause he'd pooed I'd put on the itti with bad elastic. Bad move he pooed again and when I changed him there was poo in the foot of his suit, not down the leg just on the outside of the nappy and in the foot. Have to take a leaf out of mellybelly's book and use a cover with my ittis.

LOL! I still get the odd down the leg poo with Pixie when I don't realise elastic is starting to slack off in a nappy. I'm lucky it was time for a shower the other day and stripped her in the bathroom because basically we had a poo floor.

Pop-in fans- are the originals quick drying? My sister picked me up a couple of night boosters for $3 each from some random parenting market and I'm uber impressed with the absorbancy. I used one in an el cheapo pocket I had floating around and it was super absorbant. Washed up gorgeous too. Added bonus is it states can be used as a prefold too.

My pop in's dry pretty quick, the night booster is amazing, our bottom booster doesn't even get wet! But Wyatt wears it every night- rotation of 2- and I've notice the night booster is getting a bit stiff and not as soft, but the rest remains soft as a babies bum.
I want 2 more for day naps, Wyatt has EPIC naps ;)

im excited to be starting to use cloth very shortly! :dance: im just waiting on my fluffy mail so i can start! :D how many nappies do you ladies think a 4 month old would go through a day?
I'm thinking we may have to start going part time at first til the supply is built up a bit (I have 10 ittibitti d'lish SIO's with 3 extra sets of liners & boosters)
i will also hopefully be buying a couple more BBH magicalls too in the next couple weeks to add to the stash, hopefully around 4-5 of em....

does that sound like enough??

Usually it means it's delaminated, so it may not be water proof.

Delaminated as Helle said. Sometimes it makes them not work, sometimes it doesn't make a difference. CT's aren't exactly a brand known for their quality anyway - they were good before they got taken overseas, quality of them dropped substantially after that happened.

Hiya! It depends on how many times your bub is still pooing during the day. I think Sahti (nearly 3 months) uses about 6 a day now, just depends on how many times she poos, but its definitely not every nappy change now. :)

Hi to everyone else - having a slow nappy day here, strip washed the ones I've sold and had them in the sun to remove stains - got a tiny bit of sun today here in tassie but it was enough to remove the stains!! Awesome stuff that sunlight...

Bex do you like your foaming wipes wash? I won't bother getting it again. So much easier to whip out a pre-wet wipe. I used to just wet the cloth wipes wring them out and fold them into a small wetbag.

If your pop in boosters are hard, put them in the drier :)

Depends how heavy bubs wets. Pixie was going through about 8 huggies a day at that age. She's always been a very heavy wetting child though and can still clock up 6-8 nappies a day at 2 years old. As Mrs Merd Burger said poo is variable too. Around 6 a day sounds right for an average wetter.

A girl Pixie's age at playgroup had a poosplosion today and Pixie did a massive poo about double the size the same time in a Tutto. The mum and I were both changing our girls in the bathroom and she was quite shocked the nappy contained the lot :lol: I showed her another tutto (clean one) and pointed out why I chose that specific one this morning. I think she's going to look at clothing her next bub (due Sept) because she's had nothing but issues with sposies and poo leaks no matter what brand or how she does them up. She was under the impression they were all still about heavy soaking buckets and bleaches. I happened to have the tutto instructions and abby gro pamphlet in my bag so gave them to her.

I ended up ordering a custom from my mcn's. I will see how I like her work before I order more than one. I ordered black minky with red snaps and red lining and the AC/DC logo on the back :D

bex - i got a blue one with a rocket ship on the front and on the back it has a guys sitting in the rocket. it looks amazing and i cant wait to get it!

we only have the dream dri's here and they dry so quickly! the soakers feel dry when i pull them out fo the washing machine! they really are super absorbant. i really should get my butt into gear and get some more for night time use so we can get rid of the sposies

Ooh nice teresa!! I decided on one she doesnt have on her pics but she does have already. Its a horse with a unicorn horn and wings strapped on. Underneath it says "i want to believe" lol... Its cute! I got the medium pink minky... Front snapping bamboo velour. Yay!

Well i have my mothers pole class this morning, then i am taking the cardio and pole class tonight too! 3 classes, im gonna be stuffed! Hhaha

I have 2 barely used night nappies that Pixie out peed a tonne. I only used them for about 4 months before I gave up. I'll be using them for this bub.

Waiting for my fluffy mail. I have a feeling it'll rock up tomorrow. It's the 3 tuttos I got from the stocktake sale. The more I use them, the more I think my Abby Gros have sneakily delaminated on me. even after 1 prewash I had no leaks after 3 hours in a tutto. hmmm, What's everyone think?

Hey you guys, I don't come in here very often at all any more (OK never), but does anyone use the sized Bubblebubs anymore? How's the elastic in them?

*looks curious* What are Designer Bums comparable to? I feel like a MCN granny, I have no idea what half of these brands you kids are using are. I used Baby BeeHinds and v.1 BumG's and BerryPlush and...can't remember. Others. And when did nappies get so expensive?? I feel like my Dad reminiscing about buying milkshakes for half a carrot and 5 dead crickets, but sheesh!

I just gave an AG shell a squeeze and heard a very slight crinkle. I'm guessing the PUL has perforated and shrunk back a bit in places. I might just double cover them with my Maz covers to get us through. DD is definately not too far off TTing but she had a scare 2 days ago where she almost fell off the loo. I JUST caught her. It's put us back a bit. She will sit up there again but won't relax 100%. Not going to push her, she'll get there in her own time.

Just ordered 2 issy bear Velcro day nappies. Gonna use them for sleeps. Since I sold heaps and haven't received all our new ones I put on an issy I was saving for summer and realised how much I like them! I've been neglecting my issy love since using pop in's at night!

Got fluffy mail today... 2 bonnibuns naturals with yellow snaps, I have sold on all my purple snaps.
A CT wetbag and a ROAK'd CT. The crinkly one but I can barely hear the crinkle :)

i have a couple that crinckle but arent delaminated and ive had non crinkly ones delaminate i can only see coz they are pockets the crinkly ones are the cotton outer ones they still work the same as when i got them here they are just really stiff and crinkly and a baby cheeck pocket ive go has delaminated it looks like the PUL shrunk weird lol

Hey Kim! My first thought when I read your PA was "well, she'll be needing mor nappies!" I love the Bubblebubs sized AIOs, the elastic has gone from our smalls after a lot of use (bought 2nd hand) but we have such a big thighed baby that it didn't matter. There just so happens to be a sale on them now... I think Designer Bums are overrated. We get a lot of leaks, the velcro is hardcore, so although it holds well, baby gets stuck to everything imaginable, unless you put it under a onesie, in which case, what's the point of it being pretty? So... what did you like before? I am thinking of getting my husband to write a "If you like ___, you'll love ___" program for nappies :lol: That's what he does.

That is pretty much what my husband's parenting of newborns consists of. Carrying them places in towels or buckets, or when they're older shouting 'Hey Nelle! I can't find the kids!!' And I casually wander down and try to detect the source of the snuffles and giggles before they turn into distressed wails. :rolleyes: Laundry hampers are a common spot. Now of course, my boys have a penchant for hiding in cupboards, baskets and ottomans.

Maybe. I'm trying to sort through everything I have...I should be ashamed of the abuse some of our nappies have seen...there are a few that I really just should throw out. A few BabyBeeHinds that got left in a nappy bucket too long and disintegrated...same with some Itti inserts...and some of my BumG v.1 elastic is gone...probably not worth repairing (given I have NO idea how). I think I want some more BerryPlushes...I love them. But :o at BumG prices! What happened?? Are all pockets that expensive? Wait, I know they're not, because I still get GreenKids emails...I liked those...

They are stil comparable to decking a child out in sposies in price Nelle. I think a lot of manufacturers are making them using heavier quality materials too. The other part is just inflation because people really know about them now and the companies are aware people want them.

Yeah I suppose better quality materials would make sense, but surely with greater demand manufacturing costs would lower...? :lol: I'll have to stew on this some more. I know many US stores won't/aren't allowed to ship to Aus, so perhaps it's a 'supporting Aus stockists' sort of thing...

But you're right, it's worked out better than sposies in the past - I guess I'll try to remind myself of that when turfing the ones that are past their use by date...nappies lasting two boys, that's really not bad.

Our baby *may* have been hidden in the recycling bin at one stage :lol: I'm with you on price though - for some nappies, it's worth it, but for others (like Designer Bums) you pay big $$$ and then end up with a nappy that starts looking trashy very early in its poo catching career. You could replace elastic - you made a pin cushion! Surely it is but a hop step and a jump from there? :D

I suppose CL, because BumG's really are quite good, they can justify the amount - I mean, if people are willing to pay that much, why not charge that much? I just don't know...
I mean - are the BumG's really that far superior to other osfm pockets? I can't find Haute's anywhere anymore, but my GK's were brilliant (not as trim at first!), and I'm seeing cheaper osfm pockets like Baby Kangas and Happy Heinys. Are they not as good?

A lot of folk love the BBH multifit. I love the GKs. As a travel nappy, they have been brilliant. On a camping trip, we were at our stash's rock bottom, and stuffed one with Daddy's underwear until we could get the washing done. Also, in Melbourne, we stuffed one with a hotel room hand towel, which we rinsed out in the bath :lol: AND they fit a flat as an insert if you forget to take your snappies. (I would never do that :D) I haven't tried a Happy Heiny's pocket, but I quite liked their little sherpa fitteds on a newborn bottom! I have a few Bonnibuns OSFM pockets that I just love.

I have to go and chase a rat. Ugh.
