the bbh multifits fit great here! i can get a good 4 hours from one! i prefer the v2 as they are trimmer but i do have the v1 too.
I'm waiting for my rep to get my BBH multifits to me. I have 2 V1 and 6 V2 incoming. No rush really because they're for new bub although if my Abby Gros keep leaking as badly as they do then I might have to use them on Pixie!
We had more wee in the potty last night. I was a smarty pants and put it in the lounge so it was RIGHT THERE if she needed it plus I think she's still tense on the actual toilet after the near fall. Pixie was watching Lady Gaga :rolleyes: nappyless to air her bits and plonked herself on the potty when she needed to wee! It was quite awesome to watch because she basically did it on auto-pilot and didn't even take her eyes off the tele. I refuse to push though because I've seen negative results from that. A 4 year old still wears pull ups and only uses the toilet when he feels like it.
WOCB: Nothing, she's airing post sleep and potty is nearby if she needs it
ETA: Progress on the potty. 2 wees in 40 mins. She'll just go park on it and say "YAY" when she does something in it :lol:
i went a bought a thomas the tank potty that was on clearance at target this morning as DS has started to show signs that he is getting ready to potty train. yesterday he kept going into the toilet, especially when i was in there, and try to pull his pants down and would actually stand there whilst i tried to take his nappy off so he could sit on the toilet, but he freaks out if i put him on it hence the potty. i figure i would just do it "for fun" and if he actually uses it well then its a bonus! the potty i got you can use it as a toilet seat as well and a booster step if u pull it apart! it was $28 so i am not complaining about that! :D
WOHB - bbh mulitfit
Audax I have a couple of ecobubs pockets (that need extra boosting for my wee machine), about 4 BBH bamboo fitteds that haven't seen the light of day for a loooong time (should get around to selling them), a Bubba Moo sized, a couple of sized IBs, a tutto, a GK pocket, a BB Candie, a couple of Bum Cheeks embroidered pockets, 3 very average MonkeyDoodlez AIO (that are only for the hour between bath and bed), and Issy Bear Night nappy (that I use during the day and is awesome) oh and 3 ebay cheapies.
I'm over stuffing pockets that's for sure. Have tried a DFM and that was useless on Nate, same as a WW, both only lasted an hour. I know others love them, they just didn't work for us.
Not a fan of cotton outers or velcro.
What can you suggest?
Oh and is the spunkybutts chic still making nappies?

Went to the expo today and Itti SIO's were $16 or 2 for $30 (discontinued colours only) so I thought I would give them one more try! I got a jade medium, if it doesn't work, my friend is going to buy it off me. When I first bought the SIO's she was smaller so they didn't fit right, now she is bigger hoping they fit!
Still waiting on our Disana covers!! The royal mail website is saying it has been passed over to Aust post to deliver but god knows how long that is going to take!! what was the point of paying $5GBP more for tracking if it only tracks until it gets to australia?! Boo... Hope they get here soon!! I love my PUL covers but would love something more breathable!

Entering into the world off cloth here, i always used sposies in sydney due to having no outside line and a tiny unit. We are still in hospital but are leaving this afternoon. I have lots of second hand cloth nappies and heaps of terry flats.

I have 3 kids, one in nappies, a little boy (older two are a boy and girl), i have a very pretty boyish stash, consisting of mainly peechees, a couple of auriels and a fair few beetlebums.

I have used cloth exclusivly since birth on my little guy and hes now 17 months old :) (although a few weeks ago he wore a disposable for 2 hours as i accidently soaked all his nappies at once lol! lucky we still had a sample nappy from the bounty bag)

The expo wasn't great for nappies this year. Last year was awesome, this time, not so much. We did get a silky bamboo wrap from Bambooty for $27 down from $35, though, they're our litttle one's comforter, so that's a good deal (she has champagne tastes :rollleyes: ) Ecostore powder for $2, but they ran out of TL powder.
Kim - no idea about spunky butts. I loved them. If not, there's BamBams? Pretty much the same. All my thirstiest nappies are fitteds or pockets, so not sure I can help.

I got our teeny weeny newborn in cloth as soon as we got home from hospital. We're using the smallest motherease sandy fitteds with the smallest motherease and gorgeous imse vimse covers (premmie size).
It was a tough decision because I know I'll only get about 5 weeks out of them, but they are soft as a cloud, sit below her umbilical stump, and are working so well!
I can't use pockets because they're just massive on a newborn, and don't work at all for under 3kgs and skinny babies which my daughter is.
Anyway, I've relied heavily on my bumg v3 for my son, they are far superior to my green kids and happy heinys, although I love the look and feel of hh the best, but they just aren't as water tight as bg.
But the bgs Velcro needs replacing, if I can get off my butt and do that.
Now I'm really interested in the new designs from cotton bottoms (who make bg), with the lay-flat inserts rather than pockets (eg. econobum) because the bumg liners are so easily clogged and I don't love stuffing pockets.
Has anyone used the newer designs? They work out cheaper because you can reuse the covers with fresh inserts, so just buy more inserts.

So I think we have a new postie and they're super lazy. I had a card rock up in the letterbox and it must have been Friday arvo. We were in the house all afternoon. I checked the letterbox at 4pm and nothing was in there so it looks like the lazy sod couldn't be bothered knocking on the door at all. It's not the first time it's happened of late either. We had to collect 2 parcels last week also on a day we were home all day.
DD is TTed at home only but still needs a nappy when we're out for now. I had 2 nappies to wash yesterday because one for nap and another for afternoon venture out. It is so much nicer just ditching the contents of a potty in the loo and giving it a rinse than LSing a nappy.

kuraiza - the Sandys will last longer than you think! Our 4kg-born now 6 month old is still in her smalls. It's the only one that has fitted her from birth right through til now.
CL - give em heaps when you're at the PO. We had that happen a lot last year, til we gave them what-for, and now Roshan delivers to the doorstep, even if we're not home, because he knows I don't work.

I never had any Motherease Sandys! Where did you get them? The Motherease covers are probably my favourite though. Although, when I bought mine, they were one of the only covers that had leg gussets, and now heaps do! *tries not to rabbit on about how quickly the MCN scene is evolving and growing*
Bummer at the pockets Kuraiza - our first was skinny, but he was also over 4kg, so that sounds like a whole different ball game to a bub under 3!

I remembered I had all my prefolds soaking in bleach/water in the laundry trough tonight...it's only been about two weeks...*CRINGE*! :rofl: They were in a pretty bad state though, when I put them away after #2 I just must have been completely immune to poop stains. Didn't help that our clothesline was undercover at our last house.
Issue is that I don't drive and I really can't walk 5 blocks to the mail centre right now. My pubic bone feels ike it's going to fall out whenever I walk more than a block. I think I might have to give them a call and see if they can arrange something for me. They used to drop it around the back but now we have the dog they can't.:

She's nearly too big for them now though (Sahti that is, not Christie)

omg i got someone on to cloth with a bit of help from an ecocubs consultant lol she wants to get 20 tuttos :o god i wish i had the money to just do that even with a laybuy its not possible oh well weve never even tried a tutto i dont think i need to im set for a while i want to sell jazzys small BBH's but no one seems to want them but theyve go a couple of stains which i think are from cream :( but i used liners so im not sure why does anyone know anything that will get them out should i wash them and sun them again or try something more heavy duty?

I still think ME Rikkis ar one of the best covers out, despite all the newfangled stuff. :lol: I'm sure your prefolds will be blinding. I still love the ones I homemade out of old towels from our local laundry service. Great pocket stuffers.

JJJ - try a little paste made from napisan and water, rub it in, leave for 5 minutes, then wash. Good luck! There was an awesome bulk deal on tuttos at the expo - I think it was 19 + 10 booster sets, for $600.
I'm still sick. Hubby coping remarkably well with the washing, and the nappies. He ran out of velcro so had to start using snaps, and is doing just fine. I'm a bit chuffed, actually.

Bubs was cooperating this morning and I was able to walk to the post collection place. I was asking the woman (who wasn't very friendly) why it wasn't just left rather than taken back to the mail centre. It had a label that said "do not safe drop" so that explains why they took it back. 3 brand new fluffy tuttos are in the wash :D
My 30 minute venture to collect a parcel turned into a 3 hour potter down the street seen as though bubs was cooperating. I ended up getting an $8 maternity bra, $2.50 t-shirt and $15 cargo pants that are sooooooooooo comfy and I can wear the rest of my pregnancy quite easily.
DD is TT around the house now so my fluffy loads are way smaller. I do maximum 2 nappies a day so I've been rinsing the wee off the inserts and putting the wet inserts in a seperate bucket from the shells. We've only had 3 accidents in 3 days and way less funky ammonia smell from over flooded nappies. I'll wait a little bit longer before we TT out because her bottom is still a little too tiny for the child's toilets at playgroup/in the parent's room in town and she gets scared on them. I don't want to start carting a potty around in the pusher :lol:

Wowb bonnibuns night
So I got my tuttos today. With my fuchsia nappies. DH chucked a mini fit and says DS isn't to wear them. Gawd! So... I don't know whether to hang onto them incase we have a girl (which we so wont now I've bought pink nappies!) or try get my money back. Boys!
What gets me is he's fine with a girl in all DS blue ones. I said if we have a girl I'm starting a whole new pink stash! Because I'm totally reasonable like that XD

Still no disana covers! :( tracking is useless once it gets to aust so have no idea where it is right now. Boooo. And i got another tutto booster set i bought off b&s page. I am sure they said bamboo but its microfibre!! Bah hate the stuff!!!! Shudder. Guess they are good to have for quick drying. I just dont want to use them! Lol. I *think* it is just the covers due to be delivered now... Cant remember any other nappies to be delivered just yet.
Oh oh and go have a look at my mcns in the customs folder!!! My japanese crane and my pea**** embroideries are done and amazing!!!! Cant wait to get them!!!

Was he really serious Helle? Both my little guys have worn pink BBH's and we have a star GK that's pretty feminine. With a dark tee, it's a pretty cool look.

JJJ, is there still cream residue on the nappy, or is it just a stain? I'd maybe try dishwashing liquid if there was residue, but not sure about a stain. I guess Audax's napisan method and/or leave it on the line for a few days and nights.
Going through and depilling the prefolds. Bit precious maybe, but they look much nicer after. One shredded (I suspect it's the one that looked a bit sorry pre-wash anyway) and I have a few loose threads to snip, but I have to keep in mind I used them for two babies already, first as prefolds, then for stuffing large pockets, and also cleaning stray poo and spew. Not bad really!
Helle can you sell them on? Brand new tuttos would go pretty quick on the mcn page.
How's he gonna feel about the purple snaps on the bonnibuns?

helle - I bought a fuchsia well before we knew DD was a girl, with the plan that it would go under bodysuits OR with a black singlet and flames babylegs if it was a boy. I think fuchsia is a pretty rockin colour. But, yeah, just around the house... he wouldn't know, would he?
