Most of my stash is sales stuff too. I don't think I've ever bought a full price nappy.
I am the same. never bought a full price nappy. I have an eclectic stash made from many second hand ones and sales. I have some lovely genesa forge nappies. i have a great newborn batch, with many fitteds but i m not sure of the brand. wish i knew so i could look out for more.

i also have a bag of nappies that need elastic repairs, but i'm not sure if they are worth it, i don't know if i could sell them at all. i guess i could repair them and then pass the ok ones on to someone just starting out.

i am loving wombutts pull-ups on DS at the moment. fit well, very absorbent and not too big in his pants.

I got Spock a couple of GF NN (the osfm because they were on sale =p) thankyou for the recommendations. I love them! No where near as bulky, and they don't smell! My bbh stink, no matter how many times ive strip washed I think they ae fine but as soon as spock does her first wee or farts they reak all night. We did have one leak with the GF was a poo but in all honesty I dont think anything would have contained that poo explosion. But the great thing is it didn't stick. I didn't know until I took her pjs off.

We are just back from a week's camping. DD2 still sposie free, and I'm pretty proud! Loved using terry flats all week, so simple! I have a mammoth basket to fold now, not really looking forward to it. I need to simplify my stash (again)

Just popping in for a bit of advice re fit on a chubba bubba. Dd is 7 weeks old and easily over 6kg, at her 4 week check she was 5.6kg. So she has some.super chubby thighs lol. Im having trouble with my mcns being too tight and leaving red marks around her thighs and.waist. i have some bbh all in twos (medium, thigh snaps as loose as they can go), bumcheeks osfm and china.cheapies osfm. I dont like the osfm on her atm as they're too bulky, but they do the same as the bbh and leave marks. Any ideas or recommendations on other brands to try? Itti bitti are out too as they done the same to ds for the same reasons. We've been using sposies and i wanted to make the switch back to cloth, but it seems like we'll just have to use them permantley :/

Red marks aren't necessarily a problem. It's pretty normal to get some red marks on your skin when you wear something firm fitting, and it doesn't always mean it's too tight. My DS usually has a little red line around his legs where the elastic sits, but it comes and goes depending on the weather and humidity, and how active he's been.

If her whole leg was going red, that would be a problem, but I don't think I'd worry about a red mark unless the skin was rubbed raw or rashy as well.

You could always find a local nappy consultant and show her, and maybe borrow a tester pack of different brands to see what fits her best.

    Hi everyone

So in preparing for baby 2 I'm thinking of getting some prefolds for when she is tiny as with DD we had massive leaks and poosplosions initially even with my smallest sized nappies. Just wondering, do prefolds generally fit inside a OSFM shell if it is snapped to the smallest setting?

    Mine do LL.

We just did two weeks with the ILs. They bought a pack of ten china cheapness for us to use while there, and a half dozen terry flats. We just took night nappies, liners and covers. It was awesome, so much less to pack! And more room for presents! I'll do that again I reckon!

Thanks Luna moth. Seeing as though I'm MCN obsessed and also possibly nesting I ordered three newborn covers on sale just in case, to add to my osfm stash. A Bubblebbs cover and two Rumparooz (I think that's the name). Plus two Grovia newborn AIOs as they were heavily discounted so between the prefolds, newborn covers and my existing atash of osfm and small sized nappies I think We're sorted. DD is still in nappies so I also ordered a couple of $7 osfm pockets from nappy change, they only come with one insert but I've got plenty already. Plus a Bubblebubs night nappy as one of my Bambooty ones has almost died. DD is a heavy night wetter, not sure if new baby will be or not but want to be prepared

PS I'm impressed your inlaws bought you MCNs! Neither my parents nor inlaws would know how to buy from the net, let alone buy MCNs online. We are interstate with family but because DH's family is in the city, mine is in the country and we are staying in 5 different houses all up I decided to use disposables for the two weeks we are away. But I do miss DD's fluffy pretty bum!

Re: Cloth Nappy General Discussion #202

A quick question but firstly some info...

My cousin has given me her entire stash of mcn's. we currently use itti's.

In the stash are cushie tushies, baby beehind multifit magic alls and baby beehind petities.

I've tried a bbh magic all on DD who is almost 15 months old and it's really bulky and too loose around her legs. The petities seem to work ok though.

Should I hang onto the stash and see if they fit DD when she's older or sell them and use the cash to buy some more itti's? If I sell them, I'm also planning on giving my cousin a good amount of the cash.

Re: Cloth Nappy General Discussion #202

I don't like BBH. They look too bulky on DD, they almost seem to imbalance her little posture. But I'm used to having mainly trim fit nappies (like Itti). So no real help from me, sorry!

I'm the same with BBH - mainly itti here too. DD hated them too so I need to get rid of them. We've got a couple of cushie tushie chameleons here and they've been good.

If the nappies don't work for you, I'd get them out of the house - if your DD is anything like mine enough clutter gets generated.

BBH are good for longer times between changes (car trips etc). I really disliked greenkids when dd was younger, and couldn't understand why others liked them, but now they are faves with my son. i just think they fit better on bigger kids.

i tend to keep things til i know i won't use them again cos i can't be bothered with the selling and repurchasing, but i know i have hoarding tendencies that i am fighting against.

Re: Cloth Nappy General Discussion #202

BBH magically and multivitamin are a bad fit here too, too loose around the legs. But ittis are no good either, just not adjustable enough and we get tummy gape.

See if you can't trade them. Maybe someone likes them. I have always had a bit of a hard time selling them, though, as they're on sale so often and fairly well known, so there's always lots on the market.

My DD1 has a staph infection on her bum. It's pretty nasty, but easy enough to treat.

If they were sized magicalls I would take them, I'm loving magicalls at the moment, hating ittis too for the tummy gape.

Are you going to keep the cushie tushies? I might be interested, cos I really, really need more nappies lol.
