Cloth swim nappy

Any recommendations for a cloth swim nappy for DD who is almost 6 month? I hate the disposables and they are expensive too.

I've used Monkey Doodlez, they were a good fit for my DS, but I had to be pretty quick to get him out of the water if he did a poo!

We use the Happy Nappy - Splashabout Swim Nappies.
Never had any trouble with them. We paid around $24 each for them

I've used the monkey doodlez here no issues (still using them in large size). We started with the mediums at 6mths. (I've got a couple of extras if you want to try one that I don't need.)

I have a Monkey Doodlez swim nappy too, medium. SO cute. I haven't had any poos yet, so can't comment on the poo-tainment-ability.

We use monkey doodles but were also given a speedo one that is excellent. I have heard you can just use a PUL cover though.................

With the monkey doodlez, I could never quite work out why we had a problem, because it fits so snug around the legs and waist, I couldn't see how anything could escape. However, one time DS did do a poo and I didn't realise for a while, until I noticed all these flakes in the water... Gross.

Imse Vimse swim nappies here. Cost about $22 or so when I bought them, fit well, never had a situation to be able to tell you if they worked or not, but they seems to fit well and there were no gapes etc.
Easy on and off.
They stood up well (she only ever needed the small size, the fit til she was 2) and I will use them (bought 2) with this one as well.

Not to hijack the thread (but I will!) - What size Monkey Doodlez for a 14 month old boy? Not sure of his weight, but he would be between 10 - 12 kg? I can't find any info on their website.

I also found a Mother Ease swim nappy that has snaps on both legs. I'll have to make a decision and get one tomorrow or summer will be over before I know it

I have seen the mother ease ones and it was a toss up between them and the imse vimse...what swayed me in the end was the motherease look a bit like a nappy cover and the imsevimse a bit more like bathers but I reckon the motherease would work just as well....

Imse Vimse and Monkey Doodlez here too. Like both of them, but have never had a poo in either so can't comment from that point of view! DS is 22mths and around 12.5kg and I am about to buy a couple of large sizes as the medium is starting to get a bit snug.

SIL works for a baby shop and has told me she's sending me a different brand... have no idea what it is, though

I was keen to try the immsie's when we need to go up a size (currently still in smalls and he's 8kgs) - he's been in it from the beginning, and it's fit the whole time. He was 2.8kgs born, but don't think he wore it til he was about 3.5kgs. I'm happy with the Monkey Doodlez, though - will prob get another one of theirs as well

we have this one and it's wonderful! he did a very sloppy little poo and it caught it very well lol. has a mesh liner and then snazzy outer and is very thin and light.
