    I need a hit......

    Or do I really?

My main concern ATM is having enough "smaller" sized cloth for a NB. I dont want to buy any plastic nappies unless there ends up being a real NEED....

So for all of you veterans - could you please review my stash so far and tell me what you think?

    12 x Bumgenius pockets
    5 x cushie tushies couture
2 x BBH bamboo (i looooove the feel of these, i think they are my fave so far)
    1 x BBH hemp
    3 x small BBH magic-alls
    2 x panda baby small

I also have 5 BBH bamboos (previously loved) on the way and some other brands (not sure what) to try out from some amazing BB members (you know who you are!!!)

oh - also I have covers

    1 small BBH wool
    1 small BBH PUL
1 small (and ever so funkee) maz butterfly cover

what else would you add? I am thinking of grabbing a couple of the swaddlebees one size to try - they look great (i really like the idea of natural fibres against baby's skin) and the itti bittis look too cute! (i think i might have one of them on the way to try).

i know I will need more covers as time goes on in bigger sizes, but right now I just need a hit, even just one fluffy mail bag on the way.........................

Okay, well your BumG's will fit a small baby, 12 means you have 2 days worth of 6 changes...you might end up doing more changes in the really early days, it's hard to tell.

You *might* find that the BabyBeeHinds and Cushie Tushies are bulky at first - Riv (9lb4oz/4.2kg) fit them fine from about a week, Si (7lb9oz/3.4kg) fit them from about 4 weeks.

I'd say you need some more covers. Perhaps some PUL ones (easy to rinse and dry if you're running short) - a few of us can't get enough of Motherease Rikkis.

If you don't have any flat nappies or prefolds, they could be worth a look - I use mine all the time to sort out spills and spews, and they were great for newborns with a snug cover overtop. Up to you though!

    Hey Kitt3n

If I were you I'd get some get a few more plain fitted nappies (newborn size if you are determined not to buy any sposies at all). I say plain ones as I mean not neccessarily 'brand' name ones as such, maybe have a look at the ozebaby website sometimes they have some. I just mean slightly cheaper ones that can get a good thrashing in the early days (but still ones that are made well). If bub ends up being big and doesn't fit them, then I'm sure you'll be able to off load them to someone needy..and yeh, some pul covers.
I would also get a few size NB, and small BG AIOs if you are worried about having nappies small enough, too.

    All the best!

fak, so being brief, but it depends on how big bub is - bub might fit from birth, or might fit from 3 weeks or so.
