Ok cloth nappy experts, I need some advice on how and where to buy some MCNs or at least, where to start looking, for my niece who will be 15 weeks at Xmas. My sister doesn't have much money but loves cloth, so I thought I could get her some fun and practical ones as a Xmas pressie. She is using some MCNs and flat nappies at present.
I don't want to spend up too big just enough go get her a few fun ones. Should I think about inserts as well? I have NO idea but have heard her mention these in passing.
Well. Itti Bitti D'Lishes are pretty cute. Probably a medium, because at 15 weeks she might not get enough wear out of a small. Better a nappy that she can grow into, if anything.
Phoenix is talking about the Baby BeeHinds Magicalls I think, which many people like, I can't comment cos I don't have any of the current ones...yet.
Another option is a pocket nappy - a shell where you stuff the absorbent part either (because you pull them apart you can dry them quicker). GreenKids sell some cute pockets. But you have to buy the inserts separately.
I personally dont like the BBH magicalls, i think there are better options out there.
If she is using Flats and has some other MN's how about getting some funky wraps/covers like minky's etc so that she can show them off. They are usually a bit cheaper than the actual MCN...
I would go for the minki magicalls at BBH. Wonderful! (and I was a previous magicall hater as Ash would wet through them in no time at all)
Also their osfm are great! We have heaps and they are a great workhorse nappy
