I have used a herron zinc and castor oil one with cloth nappies before, and because it's more oily haven't had a problem getting it out. Although if you have a fungal infection it's probably not going to do the job. We've had one really terrible episode of nappy rash that involved a trip to the dermatologist, so I advise getting in quick to nip it in the bud before it escalates, if you do think it's fungal and the normal creams aren't doing the trick. Particularly important during this terribly hot weather. Daktozin (very not natural) may be needed from your pharmacist if it turns out to be fungal. Good luck.
