I was going to say bubblebubs too cos the booster is sewn in! Too easy and the velcro tabs are just like sposies.
Magicalls are now minky and I've been happy with the ones I have.
Or itti bittis but if you get the snap ins make sure you piece them together before you have to go out.
I've had all kinds of interesting nappy and booster combos put on Caleb if I go out and forget to set them up for DH. He puts covers on AIO's
PMSL - DH is an engineer too. He LOVES the clothies now.
At first we started with me preparing the nappy for him, him opening the old one (wees only), giving it to me, then fastening with velcro the new one. I'd sort out the nappy bucket and everything else. Then I'd show him how to take a pre-folded nappy and put it in the cover. Then I showed him how to use a fitted one and check the cover actually covered the nappy (by me doing it and dliberately leaving some out, "I'm used to it and it happens so it's not a problem so long as you check.") and finally left him to it - I still have to "help" with the poo nappies because DH won't clean them properly.
Now he's picky. He gets annoyed if there aren't any of his favourite liners around when he's making up a nappy. He prefers to use the stuffable/aio nappies but the night nappy is a bamboo one in three parts. That was the first one he did all by himself because only one parent puts DS to bed (including bath and story), the other gets a sit-down after washing up and putting toys away. He does sometimes ask me for a hand because I've picked and bought all the nappies and there's a bit too much choice, but he can also take a folded nappy and put it in a cover and add a liner, he can use an AI2 system and he can very easily use the pre-stuffed nappies. My main grip is that he puts a flat nappy into a fitted cover, but neither he nor DS mind that and it doesn't leak so I guess I can't complain.
I had a look at Greenkids and they seem to be a good idea.I'll just pre - stuff them for him.
Would you believe that last night he went to put on a Cushie Tushie on back wards! Come on...I know it has snaps and all but it's pretty obvious which way it goes! Maybe he is doing deliberately to get out of Nappy changes.lol
Laura, CTs are the majority of my stash! VERY hard to put on backwards!! Dh said it would have to be an engineer When he gets the drawings he circles everything that is wrong, then does it how it should be done

I remember one morning, I think it was the second morning I'd not gotten up to DS and he would have been about a year old (the first time I'd been too ill to move so DH started looking after me a bit more) and the baby monitor was still on. I was in fits of giggles; DH took a pre-stuffed nappy and started to ask DS how to put it on. "There's a picture of a pocket here, so that must be the front. How do you fasten this? Can you roll over? No, don't pull the nappy off! Oh, it goes the other way around? Thanks."
PMSL - my one-year-old has to show his Da how to put a nappy on!
He has done the odd nappy backwards since (not that type of nappy though!) but tbh what's the difference? He's happy, DS is happy, I'm happy - the nappy is on for just a short while so why worry?
Haha. Mine's put covers over AIO's, but no complaints there, at least there's no leaks!
AIO's or prestuffed pockets with velcro probably are the simplest (having said that, mine probably prefers fitteds and covers). Bubblebubs, Magicalls, Itti D'Lish sewn ins, HoneyBoys...
