I used flat nappies for the first 3 weeks and then moved to the BBH...
Next time i will be using my OSFA pocket nappies from new born and as i will 'know' how the BBH work i would be more likely to use them early
With miss M - I think I started full time cloth when she was 2 weeks old ... and i used prefolds and a great cover. I also used newborn fitted nappies, various brands, kissaluvs fitted (which are GREAT).. umm... itti bittis... sized bumgenius... but I'm wary of using AIO's or something like that for newborn poop.. yukko.. best to have a fitted and cover (I'm not very good with flats, they are always so HUGE on DD - I use them on DS though)
I used the really crappy things that were supplied in hossy - they sort of 'fell' into my bag, so used them a while. They are pretty useless thou and i use them as spew towels now, when we have #2 (one day) i wont be using them.
I cant recommend what to use, just what not to iykwim
I tried the flanno ones on her - they were sooo huge on her - so didn't bother trying the terry ones - I use those for DS though (I just used them for about a week cos he had horrid antibiotic poo!!)
But yeah, there are some basic fitted nappies that work well because they aren't huge in absorbency, which I found I didn't need a huge amount of - because I was changing her so often in the beginning.
Since about 9 weeks old I have been using all the other fitted nappies, like baby beehinds etc, and had her in her first green kids last night (then she promptly pooed in it so i had to find another night nappy for her!!)
