Hiya,

Our DD was born in peak wet season here in Darwin and I used prefolds initially with cotton covers, but at night I used Huggies. I know that might seem like a cop out, using cloth all day and then disposable at night, but DD never got nappy rash and I attribute that to changing her regularly through the day and using the right nappy at night (for her!) to ensure the moisture was drawn away from her bum. Especially as her night sleeps became longer, and so her nappy had to absorb more and more at night time - I just never found a cloth nappy that I was happy with for overnight purposes - but I know that there are other Mum's on here who have had awesome success with cloth overnight (and a friend of mine is one of them!) so it would be worth getting their feedback.

DD never seemed bothered by either type of nappy - I found that as long as her clothing was appropriate for whatever we were doing then she was fine, and her nappy wasn't too much of a concern

Everyone is different, and this was simply the way that worked best for me and DD - and I agree with Jodi - Nappy free time is always a winner!!
