Is he ok with it Sherie or in pain? He might be a happy chucker, where they have the reflux tendencies of vomitting a bit, but without the pain.
Just out of curiosity, does a baby who has a few little spews after a feed have reflux? he is really good at bringing up wind and sleeps remarkably well, so I was just wondering if this is still reflux? The older three were all very similar to what Alister does, and they have never had the bouts of screaming in pain after every feed, so I never thought of reflux kwim? I might have the odd time where wind is hard to bring up, but this is rare.

Sherie, definitely not. Just like there is relux without vomitting, there is definitely vomitting without reflux. Tom was a "chucky baby" (the term the paed used LOL), and had no reflux. Apparently most grow out of it by 3 months, Tom was probably more like 6 months.
I think a bigger clue for reflux would be screaming when lying flat.
That's what I'm thinking, that he's just a happy chucker as he never shows any signs that he's in pain, except for when he has one last little burp in there kwim? i was curious to know if that was still a reflux thing and all this time I had been ignoring it.
I agree with the distinction between happy chuckers and those with unhappy reflux...if they're happy then nothing to be concerned about...if they're not, trust me you will know!
Sherie,
Charlie was what I would call a happy chucker.......he was voracious at the BF'ing lark, and stuffed himself at each feed, then would be very easy to burp (he would weight bear and stand on my legs from birth and bump himself, bless him!). But with the burps came varying degrees of sloppy wet possetts........
But he was never in any pain....usually a wet chuck, followed by a smaller non wet burp, then fast asleep........
Or if he was already super tired he would fall asleep upright on my shoulder and give one sleepy wet chucky burp right down my back, or down the back of my feeding chair.......ummm, delightful!
LOL Lucy, that sounds eerily similar to my boy. Thanks for your reassurance thoguh everyone.
