Does your bub wear their teething necklace overnight?

DD's teething necklace arrived in the mail yesterday, today is the first day she has worn it.
Just wondering if you leave it on your baby overnight? In the info that came with it, they say you can leave it on them overnight if you put it on their leg and put their pj's on over the top. DD still wears wondersuits so i can leave it on her ankle and she won't be able to get at it.

is it necessary though? Will just having it on during the day be enough to help her or should she wear it as much as possible?

We used to wear it around the leg at night until it no longer fit confortably wrapping it twice. Then we only wore it during the day but the last few months we have had all 4 molars come through at once and now all 4 eye teeth so we do wear it over night around the neck. My ds is 17 months old. I'm not concerned about it choking him. I did notice a differnce when it wasnt worn at night though

I never even considered taking it off for overnight until i read on here that people did that. DD2 is now 15months and she has worn hers pretty much all the time since we got it. I think it is a personal choice and it is what you feel comfortable with. On the website they reccomend to take it off but it is up to you.

DD2 has worn hers overnight around her neck ever since we got it, which I think was about 7 months. I didn't think the risk was that great. She's now 14 months and still wears it all the time except in the bath or shower. I really do notice a difference if she doesn't wear it for 12 hours or so (and it's not just in my head )

Yep DS has his on all the time, except for the bath and swimming. For the first couple of months I would put it around his ankle for naps and night time, but to be honest it became such a PITA.

In the end I decided that I would just keep it around his neck for sleepin. DS never even notices it's on (I've never seen him even touch it) and there is nothing in or around the cot that it could get caught on. So I figure it is very unlikely that it will ever be a problem and if it were to get caught or pull it is designed to break anyway so there really isn't any great risk.

Yep she wears it at night, on her ankle

I think they should wear it as much as possible, I always find that if she doesn't wear it it seems to 'wear off' a bit, and when i put it back on her it takes a while to work so I prefer her to wear it all the time.

Yeps, he wore his 24x7. Really noticed it when he'd come back from the SiL who'd take it off him to nap - he'd be grumpy for a couple of hours again

I also find it works on tanties

24/7 here. It really wasn't helping when I took it off at night. And it was just too loose on dd's skinny ankle!

Mini me wore one as soon as we got it...I honestly cant remember when

Tank has worn his since day dot 24/7, in the shower, at the beach EVERYWERE.
He is onto his second one as the first one had a magnetic clip and broke on us...this one is a twist one and knotted after every stone.

I dont take mine off either...and if I do...god help my head (I took it off 2 weeks ago and had the migraine from HELL)

    DS1 never had one.

DS2 has worn his since the day we got it (about 5 months old i think). The only time i have taken it off was when we went to our last Health Nurse appt because i know she didn't like it the first time she saw it. It's always been around the neck for us.

    Thanks for your replies everyone

I put it around her ankle tonight, but you're right it is a PITA cause she waves her foot around everywhere while I'm trying to do it up! I don't think it will fit around there for long anyway, but just didn't know if it was a choking risk having it around her neck (not from a swallowing POV but if it got a bit tight around her neck because she moves around quite a lot in her sleep). I took it off for her day sleeps today, but might just leave it on. it's a bit annoying taking it off/putting it back on all the time and I'm worried I'll forget about it!

Myboys- interesting about the MCHN! Will have to see what mine says next time we visit. I figure whatever helps/works is surely a good thing!

Just a thought ss- as dd got older, I was actually more worried about putting it around her ankle because it came off so easily, and the whole thing could end up in her mouth- probably a bigger choking risk than round her neck! But like I said, she has skinny little ankles....
